Photosmart C4780 - prints extra page even after update HP driver
With the Mavericks (OS X 10.9.4) installed, I noticed that completed print jobs remain in the queue for my HP Photosmart C4780 Safari printing and preview. If I want to print another (another page), I usually have to remove the previous work (100% full) of the queue so that the printer will print (I think remember that sometimes, with a Google Chrome browser, it is not necessary). If I close the lid of my MacBook Pro (which goes to sleep) with a completed print job stays in queue HP, it will be then print again for a second time.
Today, I installed the updated driver, but the problem has not disappeared when I tried to print from Safari and overview.

You have an old HP software in your Applications folder, which was the Mavericks before OS?

Restart your Mac.
Reset the printing system:
-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

HP Photosmart 3210 - old but already reliable. Mavericks installed within the last few days.
An additional page is printed after or before each document. Page is strange for example 2345 X numbers. or 2.

I've updated HP software version 2.16.1 on my version of Mac OS X 10.7.5. After the update of the printer still prints an extra page after each print job. 6500 accepts the print job, but prints blank pages - even for copies. Printer ink is full.
WOW! At least temporarily, my solution is press Setup (the key) right arrow to TOOLS #6 tab. type OK.
Tab (# 2) clean the print head. Hit OK. If all goes well, take a step back, let the process and be surprised. A second test may be necessary.
It works at least for a day. Maybe it's your solution. Jesus is our only hope!
My subscription Creative Cloud amounts and the teacher would not be repeated even after update to payment information. I tried many times in the past two months, updating credit card information and I was never renewed. Subscription keeps saying expired beyond the 24 hour mark it says it will take. I have double and triple checked the information of credit card and have recorded several times. I also never get an e-mail confirmation or an e-mail saying that he had a problem. Pavilion dv7-6052er (Windows 7 x 64). Beats Audio Control Panel has been removed from my PC after update audio driver.
Tried to reinstall manually with 6.10.6345.0 version (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55094.exe) and another randomly chosen by some. Nothing has worked.
1. remove the driver and its software.
2 restart the computer.
3 Windows Installer some driver after reboot (I can't disable or cancel installation)
4 reinstall the driver.

Tried to remove the driver and then restore an old via Recovery Manager - Beats audio control panel is displayed but there is no sound at all!
I think I tried all possible combinations of actions. Beats Audio Control Panel works without noise and noise without BACP. But never together.

In fact I've disappointed with HP updates, won't be tester for you. I'm tired of these bugs after updates (utility Cool sense, Beats Audio etc.).

I found something that seems to work. At the end of this process, you will be asked to restart your computer, so probably best to do when you are not in delays and/or with several programs.
You need the HP Jet Pro 8600 for this Officce installation disc. Insert the disk into your CD/DVD/BlueRay player and be sure that it is active.
Then go to control panel > programs and features. Search for "Software device HP Officejet Pro 8600Basic". Do a RIGHT CLICK on the program. Appears in a context menu for the uninstall, change or repair. Left click on "fix." The program took about 5 seconds on my K-3770.
After the repair the program runs it asks to restart the computer for the changes to take effect, now or later.
I tried the repair by printing multiple Word 2010 files which had been printing an extra 10 seconds after page started printing. I have tested as print current Page, print selection, print, print all extended Custom Pages. It seems to have solved the problem.

HP-why this feature isn't VERY accessible? I fell on it, when I was trying everything and anything to correct this proglem. I'm sure it's buried somewhere in the documentation, but I ran into it.
All of a sudden my HP Photosmart C4780 won't print a computer in the House. (Other prints of him). I can print the test page and that you have run the HP Dr software and it says printer is OK, but cannot print anything else.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and still does not print anything else than the test page.

Just to check something, since you stated that you receive an error message indicating "USB port is not connected. Please check if the USB cable is connected to the printer, and then follow the power cord and make sure it is plugged into your computer.
When you reinstalled the software for your Photosmart C4780, installation, was your detected USB cord and has been the success of the software?

The printer does not print. It turns on and can scan and all that, but when I try to print it fair shoots on a single page. I checked my drivers and ink, both are very good. I've done the Troubleshooting Wizard HP and it has never worked (I tried 3 times and he said that the event was canceled somehow). I would like first of all for you to tell me if there are problems when you make copies, black and white copies and color.
Try a power reset if you haven't already and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.
Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Also run Print and Scan your PC of Windows 8 doctor , chose the option "Print of difficulty" and let me know that say the results at the end try printing out in Notepad too and I would like to know if the page is empty, or print very well.

I have a HP Photosmart C4780, which works great on USB, but only print via a wireless connection. This model may be able to analysis via the wifi connection? I have an IBM T23 running Windows XP SP3 with all updates. I see the CD-ROM driver I have is version 14.1.0 which is the latest version online also. I missed something in the installation that makes possible the wifi connected to scan? I saw a USB connection through the room, when I want to scan anything.

I have a HP Photosmart C309a printer which has worked well until recently. The problem seems to have started after the tray of food thing was hit and fall, but it is difficult to say for sure because I didn't print a few weeks after that. There is no visible damage to the tray, and it will lock in place without problem. Now it is just printing blank pages.
I did a test print (print quality report), and this is what came out:
If I remember correctly, there are two black cartridges in your printer, the smallest with the symbol looks like two triangle pointing together, is the photo black ink, it is only used for printing photos. The greatest with the symbol of the Pentagon is ink black text. If the printer reports that non-empty black ink, but do not print text black (after 'cleaning print head'), there could be only two things, I'm afraid:
1. the black printhead is dead and need replaced. or
2. the passage of the ink cartridge to the print head does not, it will take a professional service (repair).
Printer was working fine. Had to change the cartridge. First of all, I didn't have black and now I don't have much color either. The printer says I had no real HP though now it shows that I do. I never bought my cartridges anywhere but the staples. Printing October 2012 have changed many cartridges before you buy. Followed everything I could find. Still not printing.

This model has a permanent print head, this video shows you how to access the print head, so you can manually clean the printer and soak the printhead, it's my own personal recommendation, not one of HPs, is to use the solution proposed in the following videos. I suggest only doing this if the printer is out of warranty.
Once you get to the clock at 3:20 minutes, you can stop this video.
This video is for a different model but it will provide the steps to move the print head and cleaning, also if you continue the video it will provide measures to remove the print head and soaking. Play video 01:24 minutes. HP 5510 will not print black and color - print head removed and cleaned.
If you have completed all the above steps and your product still has a problem, service the product.

I have a HP Photosmart 7510, who served me well for over a year until what I tried to use it today. I tried to print a letter in Microsoft Word 2010, and the printer produces a blank page. The ink levels are good, in fact, I have a brand new black and photo black installed this week. I tried to print a test page and nothing printed except the logo of Microsoft of color and words, printer Windows-Page of Test, the text is so light that I could barely read. I have cleaned the printheads twice, and represented the test page with the same result. I don't know what else to do. The HP Scan and print doctor said all control very well.
I used the printer every day since the installation of the new black cartridges and it was working fine until today, so I know this isn't the issue. I hope there, can someone give me an overview of this issue.
I see that you have a hard time getting black ink for printing with the Photosmart 7510, I would like to offer a suggestion. Have you tried cleaning the print head manually?
Accumulation of ink can lead to this problem and the own automatic does not built / dried ink in the head.

The HP Photosmart C4780 doesn't provide any capabilities.therefore ePrint there is no the printer email address.
