Photosmart c4795 will pick up paper from tray

My photosmart c4795 won't not pick up paper from the bin - keeps giving me paper message even if there is paper in the tray.  I already ran clean paper from the utility and nothing has changed.

Help please!  He has been feeding paper last night!

I ended up hitting the front of the printer and now it works! For plain paper - I am trying to print business cards now and it feeds late

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more: printer will pick up paper from tray

Hi - my printer has been working without problem for 3-4 years, but recently has been giving the 'out of paper' error even though there is paper in the tray. I have not changed suppliers of paper, the printer is in good condition (clean, dry, etc.). The print requests go to the printer via wifi but it seems that the collection of mechanical paper does not. No indication on the issue and recommended fix appreciated. Thank you

  • Photosmart C4795: No printing on paper of the Document

This morning, I tried to print a black and white word document and the printer spits out just the white sheet of paper I. I assumed that the ink was out so I replaced both cartridges with new ones. Initially, the small screen on the printer told me that the ink cartridges were either not detected or they have not been installed correctly. I tried taking that regulate them and then put in that hide them and then the printer is no longer detected these issues. When the printer goes to print alignment page, he just spits the blank sheet of paper me with nothing printed on it once again. What should I do?

    Hi @jon12341,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I suggest that you manually clean the cartridges (if they are out of warranty), rather than replace them. If you do not often print, the print head to dry. The print head is on the cartridge, that is why I recommended that you try to manually clean the cartridges.

I noticed that you mentioned that guaranteed the printer just missed. I believe that this printer is released in 2009, you bought this printer about a year ago?

To my knowledge, HP does not repair consumer printer products. However, HP can offer you a discount toward a recovery on a replacement unit. Please call HP as best as possible.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion. Thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support!

  • LaserJet pro 400 m401 will not pick up paper

My laserjet pro 400 m401 will pick up paper from the tray. I have not changed the paper I use. It's # 20 at Georgia-Pacific paper. The printer has not been dropped or abused. If anything, we have treated the printer very carefully and gently. Therefore, I suspect any damage physical/mechanical/electronic. The feed roller makes a squeaking/squealing noise when it runs. The printer then times out and the screen displays the message "no paper pickup. All stop there.

I fixed it myself! One of the springs two compression at the end of the paper closest to the front of the printer tray became weaker. I've removed, carefully strained it and reinstalled it, and it works as good as new.

  • Fax printing from tray 2

I added my 8600 Pro Officejet tray 2. I have #10 envelopes in tray one and paper in tray 2. I can get it to print in all modes except the incoming faxes and he tries to print from Tray 1. I have the default to tray #2, I tray locked 1, in printing preference selections in the printer, I chose a tray 2, but this option is not available in the fax printing preferences. I tried to remove and reinstall tray and driver, I tried to download the latest driver from HP to no cure to my problem. Help, please!

    Hello ambulance,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

If you use something else than standard paper in tray 2, the default printer in Tray 1 for fax.  If you try to use the legal size in the second tray, this will also cause the issue.

Please remove the paper from Tray 1 just enough so that it is not recognized by sensors in the printer. This will test the printer to make sure it will default to try the 2.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

  • LaserJet 4050 - ordinary letter from Tray 1 load

I get the error 'Letter regular Tray 1 load' every time I try to print to our HP LJ4050. It wants to pull paper from Tray 1 even if tray 2 is full. I thought my being a problem with tray 2 so I moved the bin with a printer of the same work, but always get the same result. It is not a driver issue because I have the same problem when printing a map menu or the monitor configuration page. I checked that Tray 1 is set to the FIRST and tray 2 PLAIN. I restored the printer to the factory setting but I still have the same problem. What could be?

I had the same problem.  It turns out that I had moved the print and moving it, the paper tray #2 offbeat kind of paper of legal size rather than inch paper standard 8x11.5.  To solve the problem, I removed the tray paper contained the blue tab at the very back of the shelf and pull forward into the right position for standard paper.  This solves the problem for me.

  • HP 9500 win 7 custom paper size tray 1

I have 12 x 18 paper loaded in Tray 1.  The control panel is correctly set.  Our office has a mixture of windows and Mac and have always been able to print on paper 12 x 18, in the #1 tray.  I recently bought a new computer running Win 7 64 bit.  The driver "HP Color LaserJet 9500 PCL 6" of windows does not support custom paper sizes.  I tried to create forms under the print server properties, but custom sizes do not appear when I'm in my applications.  5 PCL and PCL 6 UPD pilots paper 12 x 18 in option, but when I use these drivers of the printer fails to pull the good paper from Tray 1.  With Acrobat, it defaults to 8-1/2 x 11 paper and prints a second sheet indicating:

    PCL XL error

    Subsystem: VECTOR

    WARNING: IllegalMediaSize

With AutoCad, using the UPD and printing on paper 12 x 18, control panels flashes and asks me to load the A3 paper into Tray #1.  Change the size of the margin in my application doesn't seem to help.

I'm an architect and paper 12 x 18 is essential.  Thanks in advance.

After exhausting any permutation of the driver options, I reluctantly installed the PostScript of the UPD driver.  Problem solved!  Printing on paper 12 x 18 in Tray 1 works perfectly.  There is clearly a problem with the UPD PCL5 and PCL6 drivers.

  • My pixma mx922 load from tray 2. I get an edit this tray 1 has no paper.

My pixma mx922 feed of the lower plate. I get an editing tool that the top plate is empty.  I only use the top shelf for photo prints.

    what I am doing wrong?

    Hello.

The printer will feed from Tray 1 if you selected a smaller paper size before printing.  Check the settings of the printer on your computer to make sure that the letter or A4 is selected before printing paper size.

  • HP Envy 7640: HP Envy 7640 will not print photos from the photo tray

I bought a HP Envy 7640 today, 11/05/2016.  It will NOT print photos from the photo tray.   The printer has paper in all trays, but keep taking 8 1/2 x 11 paper rather than photo paper.  I use the default application for the display of pictures (Microsoft Office 2010) and have tried selecting both the 4x6in of the index card. and sizes of 4 x 6/10 x 15 cm.  The end result is the same, an image printed in the middle of the plain paper.  I searched the forums and found that two related threads.  Given that I just install the printer today, I figure there will be newer drivers in the last hour, so I finished downloading "printing HP and Scan doctor."  He finds a "Match of Port issue" and that fixed it, but when I printed another picture, he was still on plain paper.  If I remove the paper and leave only in photo paper, the printer throws a fit and said that it is out of paper.  Any ideas?  I'm not a newbie, but in more than 20 years of use of HP products, this is the first time that I had to fill out a problem for a Board of Directors.  (And with the instant the ink program, it starts to accumulate the number of my printing without a single success.)

RESOLVED - photo, once you select the printer & paper, you must go into OPTIONS, then the properties of the printer, then go to the paper/quality tab, then the paper Source and select manually the specific bac (bac/Photo main tray).  Sheesh, should we not automatic as soon as you select the paper size?

  • HP LASERJET 4050: HP LASERJET 4050 PRINT JOBS WILL NOT PRINT FROM TRAY 2

I have a HP Laserjet 4050 printer and it won't tank prnt 2.  It prints from the manual feed tray 1.  It does not recognize tray 2 printing, but it will let me know when the tiroir2 is missing.  No idea what this could be or how to fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Toni

If you print a configuration page using Tray 1, then you can look and see what paper size and type it thinks are in tray 2.

You will see probably is one of these elements is bad and most likely it is misdetecting the size of the paper due to a failure of the Board of Directors that detects the position of the fingers on the side of the status bar.

I think you have probably found a message on the screen that says load paper in Tray 1 whenever you try to print from tray 2, if this is the case it should also allow you to hit the go button and print using any type of paper or the size it considers is in tray 2.

  • My printer is not picking up the paper from the bin

My new Officejet 4500 office is not picking up the paper from the bin over. I get the off error paper after he tries and fails to load a sheet of paper. Oops, thread, my bad.

    Hello

HERE , the info can help.

  • HP 8630 will authorize specifying the second tray for printing shortcut.

All-in-one printer inkjet HP 8630 range Pro will not accept specifying the second tray for printing shortcut. Indicates that the parameter is a conflict and obliges the "Printer Auto Select" option instead of allowing me to select "tray 2" which is an option. I like to keep a white shining in tray one and photo paper in tray 2 and made the my HP 8500 Pro for everything that I needed to do is select the appropriate shortcut configured by me to print the photo. Operating system is windows XP Pro.

I want to start by apologizing for not picking up on this on your first post. The 8630 2nd tray print 8.5 x 11 or 8.5x14 paper.

The reason why what impression pictures he says that there is a conflict and if he chooses the main tray is because there is no choice. The printer does not have the ability to print photos from the 2nd drawer. If you're looking to load media into the trays you need 8.5x11 or 8.5x14 in the 2nd tray and other media can be loaded in the main tray.

In the printer's Specifications in paper output specifications > paper tray capacity & Supported sizes of paper in you shows what's available for trays.

Change the source of your document must make all the problems disappear.

    Kind regards
