  I had found information several months ago on how to remove and clean the print head, but I can't find it now.  I replaced the Photosmart C6380 with a 6515 Photosmart because when the 6380 stopped working I had to buy a large amount of ink and the 6515 used the same ink cartridge #.  However, the 6515 will not accept the cartridges with the error message they are an older generation.  I think that if the cartrides were not compatible, a number of different cartridge should be used.  So now, I want to try to solve the problem with the C6380 printhead, so I don't have to trash my entire ink supply.

  Please note that soaking the print head should only be performed on the print heads that are out of warranty. Check that warranty end date to the printhead located by the contacts on the print head to make sure he went from warranty.   HP has made several different models of the same basic design.  The Photosmart 5520 and Photosmart 5524 are the same printer model, however what comes in the box is the difference.  Similarly, there is a Photosmart 5522 in some areas, and the difference, it's also what comes in the box of the Photosmart 5520 base.

  Please try an another hard reset, as described in this post, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

  Then I would try to make sure that the firmware in the printer is up-to-date. Get updates of the printer.

  Hey there. It really depends on what you want or that you use. You can uninstall all three of those if you wish. You will not be able to use the features of your printer if you do. You can always re-download the full software back from the site of assistance if you have decided that you want return programs. Be sure to not remove and HP Imaging Device functions 7.0 or HP Solution Center 7.0 basic software.

  Photosmart HP 5520. I can print from my computer very well, but cannot scan from the printer TO my computer. Message is "connection error". This happens sometimes, but usually I can fix in any turn off, unplug and start again. Today, nothing works. This is getting tiresome. Printing works fine.  BTW, I do not control the router & it can just turn on and off. I'm not technologically savvy; I just want the thing to work.

  The scan of the computer is disabled by default (I don't know why guys/girls software desinged like that). On my machine, driver for Windows 8 is much better (even same exe file). Turn it on by following the steps below (Please note: for Windows machines)

  Double-click the icon of the printer on the desktop,

  Click on manage the Scan of the computer.

  Click Activate

  You can check the last four too.

  You can only change the update channel if you uninstall Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder or install a beta version or release that copies a file new channel - prefs.js. Update Firefox never changes the update channel. Only a full installation will do it.

  There is something wrong with the way that my printer HP - 5520 and B110 - print from Photoshop CS6.

  It's like he's still the impression of 'high quality' rather than 'rough', with several passages for each line.  It's the same on the 5520 and B110.

  From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler , made service right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

  Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

  Help, please. During the software update (for windows 8), the computer was off. There was an error in update: C000003A. After that I went back to the previously saved configuration (if I understand correctly) I tried to install all my programs once more (desktop, Adobe Creative cloud, etc.) During installation of creative cloud installation saying that the previous filed was not properly deleted), I deleted the file "Adobe" according to the instructions from Adobe and also deleted with CC Cleaner.  Doesn't work.   In this case, it is better to own reseating of the creative cloud app and then try to install Photoshop cc.

  Unlike almost all other Adobe applications, there is no option of deactivate for former Lightroom products - they were not that way so just go and install it on another machine and use the serial number, you have for her.
