Photosmart HP 6510: HP Photosmart 6510 cannot print in black
Like everyone, I tried all the reset standard and practices of head cleaning.
Can anyone send me please the new reset instructions?

Looks like you did a lot of good troubleshooting already. You followed this guide, Printers HP Photosmart 6510 - printer prints blank Page or does not print black or color ink?
I can send you the steps to perform resets itself, however, I don't think it will do everything for the same problem.
The cartridge is either dirty, defective or the print head is clogged. This print head is not removable, customer, but if the printer is out of warranty, you can try the steps outlined in these videos.
This video shows you how to do a manual print head cleaning. I suggest you to watch the two videos before proceeding and use at your own discretion.

I just installed the software driver from the website of hp for my new HP Photosmart 6510 e-all-in-one. My operating system is OS X 10.8.2. For some reason any it prints gray instead of black, even with a new ink cartridge, in addition, it will not copy anything. It scans the document, but then prints a blank page. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Photosmart HP 5510 e-All-in-one printer - B111a. I am running Mac OSX 10.8.5, running a Macbook pro mid 2012 15 inches. I am able to run Windows 8, but have not tried. I threw the magenta, cyan and yellow. I bought a new black toner cartridge. My printer does not print unless I have the magena, cyan and yellow installed. Is it possible to spend it?
No, the cartridges must be present. In addition, if the printer is allowed to sit for a long time with the cartridges removed the "plumbing" may become permanently blocked.

I understand the frustration you feel. Looks like the black ink cartridge is dirty, faulty or printhead is clogged.
Please follow the steps in this guide:
- Color or black cartridge isn't printing
- Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet (do not use a bar or a surge protector). This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
If you have completed all the above steps and your product still has a problem, service the product.
Contact HP for service in all countries except Asia-Pacific.
First, check your product warranty to check your warranty printer status and then go to contact HP support to find an authorized dealer or to schedule a repair.

What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

Cannot print on C6280 wireless after the upgrade to Windows 10. Have removed the device, but try to re install the printer when is not found. Can print if I connect USB. Tried to reload the driver using HP Support software help, but when he arrives at the end of the download fails.

I would like to try the steps in this guide, "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).
If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.
- Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note: the IPV4 IP.
- Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
- Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
- Select Manual IP.
- Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
- Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
- Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
- Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 184.108.40.206 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 220.127.116.11.
- Click on apply.
Please restart the router, the printer and the computer in this sequence.
If you're still having problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

I have a Photosmart b109n. I tried to print a bunch of images and half of the images was good, but the other half was very strange. As you know a printer when it prints a picture, it makes all the colours of yellow, magenta and cyan, even in the dark. My mystery is now solved. My statement was false, that the printer uses the black cartridge when it is printing photos. So the real problem was that the black ink cartridge.
When you print photos using a C310a Photosmart on a Mac with Lion. I cannot print on paper photo from the photo tray. It keeps or by default in the paper tray.
Please try these steps... it might solve your problem...
1. go to mac apple icon-go to the software update - pls download and install the update.
2 restart the pc - and then go to the new apple icon - go to System Preferences and continue to print and scan
3 Higlight your printer, then click on the button "-" to remove the printer-if your connected USB printer please unplug USB cable - then restart your pc
4. after the restart, return to icon - system preferences - apple print and scan-for usb connection: plug the USB - if your printer does not automatically appeared on list of the printer olease, click plus the sign and Higlight your printer then click Add button - after that - to prove the fucnctionality
for a wireless connection - simply click on the sign more, then, HELLO - Higlight your click and select printer Add button - then prove the functionality if you can print and scan.

How can I get the print option on my pc that allows me to choose the color or black and white in Windows?
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you want the options to change the color printing in black and white on your HP Photosmart 7525. I would like you to follow the steps below on your computer:
1. go to your Start Menu
2. Select devices & Printers
3. right click on your PS 7525 and select Printing Preferences
4. click on Advanced Options
5. in the present case under characteristics of the printer, you will have the option to print in grayscale, black ink only or Off (which would by default for color printing)

I'm trying to get the 6520 Photosmart of HP all-in-one to print only in black and white. I followed the instructions in the manual (go to the preferences of the printer by selecting "Black ink" only 'Print in grayscale,' hit 'Apply' and 'Send'.)
Now, if I do a table in the word processor Open Office and fill the cells with different colors, they print in black and white. Bonus. This is what I want. However ... When I print a page of Open Office spreadsheet (the ultimate goal), there are all the cells, printed in color of life.

I had this 6700 Officejet just long enough the warranty has expired. Go figure. I have 2 problems.
1. from my PC, it will print not just black and white, even if I chose "printing black and white only. I have to go through the whole syetem of dialogue ect ect, which is delayed. It prints perfectly just black and white of my portable Macbok.
2. it won't let me print a document all in black and white, because I have a low color cartridge. Whey do I have to have color cartridges to print just a black and white document. Very annoying and frustrating. I'm almost ready to use as target.

1. you are able to go to your printer properties and change your settings for printing in black and white only, without having to change it whenever you want to print something. See the steps listed below:
* Go to your devices and printers
* Right-click on your 6700 and select Print Options
* Select your desired default and press Ok
2. you cannot print without all cartridges installed because even if printing black and white printer will still use the ink contained in the cartridges of color for maintenance tasks. My HP Deskjet 1050 J410 on 64-bit Windows 7 is unable to print in black and white, even after selecting the option to do so. There is no error message, and the diagnostic tool on the HP site can not solve this problem too.

My C6180 printer all-in-one just stopped printing in black. I changed the cartridge of the printer 3 times and it made no difference? It prints in color but not black. Well, I might have some hope. Actually, we have found a solution to this problem and our printer now works as usual. I'll try to explain what we were doing, so I hope it helps someone else. I must say that I was chatting online with a HP technician at least an hour and it never recommended this solution, and we found it on their help page. Maybe he did know about this!
First, you will need to access the Toolbox of printer on your computer. Go to start-programs-HP-HP Solution Center.
In the drop-down list, select the printer settings
Select printer Toolbox
In respect of peripheral Services, select the option for clean print heads
It's a clean deeper than what is being done to the printer itself. We ran this about 5 times, and at the end of this it was printing black again. It was a few months ago and we have not had a problem since.
