  I work with Windows 7 the error message I get is unable to communicate with the printer. I've never had a problem with a printer. First night worked incredible, all the software is downloaded on the computer, but then to go print to date it has not worked. REBOOTED EVERYTHING, router wireless, computer and printer. Then reconnect the printer to the router through that says the manual. FINALLY it starts printing, waited about 30-45 min went print again and of course, it did not work.

  I tried to do the audit - States utility I am connected online time computer and printer to the router. From what I understand there is a problem with the printer-computer connection. I bought this specific printer because it is wireless and highly recommended as the brand HP, now I wonder if it was a big mistake.

  I have the same setup as you, HP 5510 connected to BT HomeHub 3.0 and have the same symptoms.  There is a simple solution that has worked for me.  All you have to do is press the "Restart" on the back of your router, wait for it to complete its reboot sequence and for all 3 lights on the fron illuminate in blue.  Following this fixes also a common problem I have with AirPrint where an Apple device cannot find the printer not working do not.  I hope this helps...

• All-in-one Photosmart HP 7520: cannot make Copies

  I am able to print whatever image is on my PC screen.  I'm unable to print when I put the original on the glass of the printer.  I tried turning the printer off & on.  I have the latest updates from HP.

  I understand that you can not make copies with your HP Photosmart 7520. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

  A few questions for you:

  • You use genuine HP cartridges or refills?
  • None of your ink cartridges are empty or low?
  • You see error messages on the display of the printer, when you try to copy?
  • If you lift the lid of the scanner during the copy, do you see a light come on? And the bar moving scanner?

  In the meantime, please try a hard reset by accessing this post, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

• Photosmart HP 7520 - Format scanning

  I tried to download the documents I scanned using the HO Photosmart 7520 today and have not been able to get my web portal provider to recognize the format of PDF files that I created.

  They have since said that there should be no problem with parsing of .pdf files as long as they are based on text and not the image accordingly.

  With that in mind, if I download of old paper copy of word documents that resulting from scanned documents will be based on image or text documents (I think I know the answer but just looking for somone confirm the worst).

  If you scan to PDF, the out is a Spain-based-PDF and not Text-base-PDF.

• Photosmart HP 7520 - message that the printer is offline or there is a problem

  Trying to set up a new printer HP Photosmart 7520 wireless.  The test print off shows that everything was fine.  I closed my firewall and tried other diagnostic tests.  Everything tells me my printer is fine, but when I try to print anything I got a message saying that the printer is offline or there is a communication problem with the printer.  Can anyone help with this?

• HP Photosmart Prem C410a cannot scan document to host (wireless). Error on front panel?

  4.2 utility diagnostic of the Scan ran HP and façade problem identified.  The program could not find any available destinations to which the scans can be sent.  Restart the computer and reinstall HP Photosmart SW does not solve the problem!

  Problem was solved by uninstalling all printer software HP components and disable firewall protection software and reinstall the HP printing software using the installation disc.

  I spent over 10 hours on the phone with Technical Support, Cloud Computing service and an escalation of HP handler.  The escalation of HP Manager ran a cleaner tool to remove completely all HP printer software and reinstalled.  Now, everything works except for analysis.

  I discovered that Windows has made a number of updates to security on my computer.  Therefore, windows do not see the 7510 as a device scan and judged that he was a suspect and deactivated engine part analysis of the HP software.

  Reinstall the printer as a wireless printer, and then by reactivating the printer to scan, my HP software came back and now everything works as advertised.

  I think you were on the right track.  Then analysis stops on an HP printer without apparent reason, check if there's any recent Windows updates.  If so, reinstall the printer as a new wireless printer.

  Just bought HP M6/1125DX/15j with Windows 8. My current HP printer is a HP Photosmart C6380 All In One.  The printer does not work, but the photo and analysis part icons no longer appear which were on my front desk. I tried to download the entire program which said would update my printer, but after 6 tries to one hour each, at the end he just said my download has been cancelled. Is there a chance that my printer will be supported by Windows 8 and how do I do that if I can't download.  Or am I stuck buying a new printer? Thank you

  The C6380 is supported in Windows 8 and has a Solution Full Download.  I would try using the Print Wizard to download and install the drivers.

  Even if I can print everything from upgrading to Windows 10 I can't scan from the printer to my laptop. A message appears on the printer stating "Connection error" the computer does not respond. "Check the cable USB is attached. Obviously is that I can print as usual. Can anyone help?

  Hi Doc, thanks for theinfo and your time and effort. After going through all new with Daniel to the HP Support, it seems that the USB port on the printer may be at fault. Who changed things to scan wireless, it wasn't a problem and everything worked. Printing from my laptop to the printer was also no problem. The laptop recognises the printer via the USB cable, but not the reverse. Daniel has once more remotely connected to my system and made all of the aforesaid goods. Looks like I'll have to either scan wirelessley or use the scan on my desktop shortcut. Prohibition to buy another printer, wireless scan shortcut it will take.   I have a MAC with OSX 10.9.4 operating system and a printer HP Envy 110 with the newest driver printer HP Maverick.  I can scan Mac.  However, I can not run a scan directly from the printer control panel.  The sign says "make sure that the HP printing software is installed.  For MAC and USB connections, "Enable Scan to Computer" is automatically activated".  Everyone else has had a similar problem?

  • Reset the printing system. OS X Mavericks: reset the printing system.
  • Verify and repair disk permissions. 12.x disk utility: repair disk permissions.

  This has been fixed by a HP escalation Manager today!

  Apparently, when windows is an update of security for your computer (Windows 7 in my case), it disables the ability to scan your printer because it doesn't recognize as valid a device on your wireless network and disables it so.

  We had to reinstall the printer as a new wireless printer and then 'activate' it as a scanner.  After having done that, you should have a background running which is called, "HPNetworkCommunicator.exe" process Now, I can scan the computer, as well as from the control panel of the printer.

  No problems before the upgrade windows 10. Solution Center says offline wireless printer but I can still print it.   Because there was a registry error in your installation, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the printer software. Below, I've posted some links to documents that offer instructions on how to uninstall, and then reinstall the HP software. • HP Photosmart AIO 7520: Scanning under MacOS Sierra is no longer working.

  Recently upgraded to MacOS Sierra (MacOS 10.12).  Since then, my Photosmart HP 7520 is no longer will allow me to scan or save the scans to the computer.  The "Save" button is grayed out and cannot...  HP must send the updated drivers that resolve the problem very soon.

  Trash the older Scan Utility as he said? Who did it for me. Maybe try to restart after that? And restart the printer too?
