  Hi Shaysappa, sorry to hear that you have found errors on your printer. If you haven't already done so, connect the printer directly to a wall outlet power cable.   I just got a new computer which has Windows 7 as operating system, previously using Win XP.  I have the original installation disc, but when I try to install my HP Photosmart 3210xi printer, it tells me that it is incompatible with my operating system.  How do I overcome this?  BTW, I can just plug in the printer and it will work, but of course I want to install it so I can use the scanner program and others.  I am not a novice, but I'm not a computer programmer that so keep that in mind!

  HP Photosmart 3210 will not install on a brand new desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  I downloaded the latest software, and when I run it, the installation window disappears shortly after it starts.  No error message.  I ran into several related issues lately.  I can't install a ScanJet 5590 on a new laptop running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.  Said it ends, but nothing is installed.   Could the fact that there are other HP printers installed on these computers (network printers) installed using driver only before attempting to install the software cause problems?  I spent hours trying to solve these.

Everything I read says that internet recovery is how you return to the original operating system. It is of an older machine who never ran El Capitan, and I don't want to install it if not necessary. Besides, I don't want to enter my ID if not necessary, because I intend to sell or give in the near future.

  Hmm. My first question why wipe the hard drive? Recovery would have reinstalled your current OS X, if that was your goal.

  I think that as you have wiped the drive you have a backup.

  I would like to restore your OSX this Time Machine backup or your clone to boot back up.

  To use internet on a 2010 recovery you should have to run an update of the EFI firmware at any given time. I suspect that your delivered 2010 with Snow Leopard. There is no download for Snow Leopard.
