Photosmart P6350 will not print, but the computer analysis. Have 'Error' on the print monitor

The two HP1300 Photosmart inkjet machines and displays the same error message and print, however the Photosmart P6350 scans and copies. Scan indicates the all-in-one is online, but I send a print command and the print monitor responds with 'Error' and no other information. I'm puzzled. I tried all the remedies support hp; same result. iMac OS 10.6.8 recognizes two printers but simply shows them "idle".

Reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • New Photosmart 5520 will not print in black

    I have a new HP Photosmart 5520 printer all-in-one.  Black ink ran out so I replaced it with a previously used ink cartridge which is of the same type # 564 but a XL version.  This cartridge has been barely used.  Now, I just can't get anything to print in black.  It will print in color, but not black.  I tried to turn off the printer.  I put the cartridge in my printer and it worked fine.  What should I do?

    I just replaced the cartridges for my PHOTOSMART 5520.

    After that, color printing has no black color.

    All HP cartridges are not new.

    It's very frustrating.

    for some unknown reason, this problem is gone when I tried printing 2 weeks later.

    To summarize:

    I'm in the United States.

    I replaced the 4 cartridges again purchased at HP online.

    After that, the black will not print if I choose to print in color.

    But if I print in "black and white only", black is in fact works very well.

    I tried everything suggested in the web forum such as cleaning, alignment, prower AC cycle,... etc. He has not fixed the problem.

    I stop using the printer for 2 weeks. But yesterday, I try agin, then the problem is gone.

    I don't know what to say. Thanks to HP for assistance.

    Overall, the servie is nice - just called him several times.

    I just installed this printer on my desk.  The problem I have is that it will not print a worksheet that I made previously, it allows to print word documents.  I have Windows XP on my computer.  When I try to print the worksheet, an error appears on my computer saying: "Microsoft Works, out of Memory."

    Hello.    Since my last post, I was able to fix my problem.   Before when I tried to print landscape I just went into my layout, orientation and clicked on the landscape.   But with this new printer, I also change the margins so and it seems to work.   I don't know why this happens with a spreadsheet, as I've not had to do with a word document.

    I've had this machine for a few months and just discovered that, unlike my previous HP printer, it will not print photos from my PC. Unlike my previous printer, it doesn't have a slot for a memory card. When I click on "Print" for a picture of the appropriate screen appears on the screen but nothing else happens.     I received a WARNING ink level so I went out and bought new cartridges. When I put the new in, black will not print.

    I followed all the instructions on my printer, all the instructions of the hp print & Scan Doctor and went out to buy a new black cartridge in the second.

    So I have three cartridges of "True HP", two of them nine and no black print.

    If you have a 7520 Photosmart all-in-one that doesn't seem to not want to print on color construction paper? Because the product is to feed the paper in the paper tray but isn't actually put ink on the page is does not seem to be a problem with the book itself and not filling not the management of specifications that your printer takes in charge for a type of paper.

    According to the specifications of 7520 Photosmart it can handle:

    • Types of media supported: Paper (brochure, inkjet, ordinary), photo paper, envelopes, labels, cards (greeting), transparent
    • Supported media formats: Letter, legal, 4 x 6, 5 x 7 in., 8 x 10, no. 10 envelopes
    • Recommended weight: 16-80 lbs.

    You know the exact weight of the construction paper?

    Your printer will print on other media, such as plain white paper or photo paper glossy with no problems?

    You could try to browse the next document in troubleshooting print quality, but please note that if your paper is not listed in the support media types, sizes or requirements of weight that you can do more harm to your printer.

  • Photosmart 6520: HP Photosmart 6520 will not print black

    This seems to be a common problem for these printers.  Rank of ink so I bought new cartridges and everything prints fine except for blacks.  Diagnosis of print quality page show an empty bar for black.  The cartridges are brand new inks authentic HP.  Thought maybe I had a bad so I bought another black cartridge and same problem.  Have done some research and I saw that a few people had succeeded by soaking the cartridges in the hot water.  Tried it with hot water from the tap for 15 minutes and it will always print in black.  I cleaned the print head 5 times but still nothing.  Warranty expired on 24-03-14.  So 9 months warranty and I have an anchor instead of a printer.  Help please.

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are facing some print quality problems on your HP Photosmart 6520, you cannot print in black ink.

    I wish you continue troubleshooting here: printer does not print black ink or color of ink or prints blank Pages, I understand, you may have made some of these steps already but I need you to complete all the steps in order to solve the problem of the missing black, you encounter.

    Please note: there are three stages of print head cleaning. Three steps if necessary. If the print head is badly clogged, it may require another round of cleaning. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last step of cleaning (third) to start the first stage of the cleanup process.

    If you are unable to print in black ink, I think that the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. I highly recommend call you our technical support at the 800-474-6836, I'm sure they will be able to help you regardless of the status of the guarantee.   • Photosmart C6180 will not print nor delay with my desktop MAC

    My C6180 suddenly has a compatibility issue with my MAC desktop computer.  He had problems with scans and faxes, but now when I try to print it starts, stops at 1% and says that there is a communication error with the printer.   Sometimes, afte r a few moments, it will be just be reactivated and finish printing or not.

    I looked through some of these posts and I saw possible solutions, like manually enter the IP address. The problem is when I print that page of the printer config there is no IP address or default gateway; in other words, they are listed as all zeros.  I don't have a wireless router, just a modem, although the line telephone nmy going through my printer also. I don't think that this should be a problem.

    Has anyone encountered a similar problem on what to do with any IP address?

    If you used the CD, it is the heart of your problem.  You will need to uninstall the HP software from the Applications folder, using HP uninstaller to breast (if you can).  If this isn't the case, drag the HP folder to the trash.

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Restart your Mac.

    Now, on the front of the printer, go to settings > network > Wireless Setup Wizard.  Run it.

    Finally, restore the print system:

  • Photosmart C6180 will not print

    I have a HP Photosmart C6180, running on a Windows XP computer.  Can I print the pages of test from the printer itself, but I get the following error when I try to print from my PC-"cannot print document."

    I have replacted cartridges Cyan and Magenta because for them, I was getting a low ink warning.  Three other cartridges have a 04-09-2009 expiration date.

    The printer refuses to print if the ink cartridges are after their expiry date?  If this is not the case, how can I solve the problem?

    Another note on the self test diagnostic impression, new cartridges Cyan and Magenta appear complete respectively 63% and 72%.  Should not say 100 percent because they have been installed just today?

    It took me a few hours because I had no reason to suspect, but it turns out that the problem is that the IP Address of my printer had changed.  I was to check the parameters of the port and noticed the URL does not match what was printed on the network configuration page that I had printed.  I chanted the URL in the port settings and retried the print a test page.  It worked.  Problem solved.  Thank you, me.

    1. What color ink is supposed to be printed on the envelopes?
    2. Can you make a copy using this color ink?
    3. Can you print other documents using this color from the computer to the printer?
    4. Can you estimate the level of ink in its entirety for each cartridge, by looking at the gauge of printer ink?
    5. Either your connected usb, Ethernet wireless printer?
    6. What is the operating system for your computer?
