Photosmart Photosmart 7520 7520:364 cartridge

I recently inherited a Photosmart HP 7520.  I was really happy when I got it, easily implemented and he was soon facing up and running on my home network.  Then the black cartridge ran out.

I looked inside the printer and saw a sticker that says product no. CZ045B and 364 of HP ink cartridge.  I went online and ordered a 364 XL Black thought that would be my best option.  However, after receiving, he does not.  Stupidly, I put this to a poor experience and ordered a series of 364.  However, that does not fit either despite the fact that the packaging on both cartridges says that they are suitable for a Photosmart 7520!

After the forum, it seems that there are two types of 364 with a bow on them and those with a Pentagon.  However, I am a loser on how to decipher than the one I buy online or in my local staples (which were at a loss!).  Is it a kind of game of pot odds that HP invented rather like maps where you can buy 10 cartridges before finding the gold that actually fits?

I would like to know if there is a reasonable as having already dropped 20 pounds on useless cartridges entirely, I see that I would have been better to buy a new printer of someone else...

Thank you.

Hello

Your printer has 2 black ink cartridges (Yes TWO)

close a callee ink cartridge Photo that has a symbol of a camera on him.

(b) the biggest known black ink cartridge,

Black cartridges and Photo are not interchangeable. Cartridges photo cannot substitute for black cartridges.

My documentation of the printer, the output of SureSupply and 564XL box (black) cartridge all indicate that the 564XL black cartridge is compatible with my printer Photosmart 7520.   I took out the cartridge configuration and does not have the XL cartridge.

Returned to the store, bought a cartridge "564 Black" to discover that it is too big also.  This box also indicates that it will work with my printer.   He said a PHOTO so presumed it would fit in the regular slot for blacks.

I don't know what to buy.  I suck with two major inappropriate cartridges.   The cartridge door does not seem to adapt for larger cartridges.  What should I do?

Well, my dumb ass figured it out.

I had for some reason any thought the photo cartridge door installation had regular black.  My diagnosis on the HP printer also stated that the right cartridge was the photo cartridge.   No wonder!

    Hello.

I have problems to install the Photosmart 7520 spare cartridges.  I have put in, locked in place I should and get the error "one or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged.  They are HP cartridges, so this isn't the problem.  I have them out, cleaned the sensors as it says in my troubleshooting guide.  Sometimes when I close the door it will tell me that another cartridge is not working too.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

After getting the error "one or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged", I found that the opening of the cartridge access door and stirring slightly cartridge problem corrects this problem.  Close the cartridge door and see if you still receive the error.  Keep stirring the problem cartridge and this should solve the problem.  It seems to be very sensitive.

    Hope this helps,

I have a new HP Photosmart 7520 e-all-in-one printer just out the box. I removed the tape and cartridge access door does not open more than 40 degrees. The figure represents about 80 degrees. I'm afraid to force it. I can't put new cartridges in the printer. Very frustrated trying to get help. It doesn't seem to be a phone number or Web site for direct assistance. • Photosmart 7520: hp photosmart 7520 yellow ink cartridge will not in (pop out of space)

I tried to install two different new HP 564 XL yellow ink cartridge in my Photosmart 7520. They arise constantly from their slots. I managed with the magenta cartridge that is similar, but the yolks do not remain in place. What is the solution?

Hi Rebmark, I did some research and found a troubleshooting page that describes some steps that might solve this problem.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-7520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5199461/document/c02944025

Step #9 may be the answer you're looking for. When the ink cartridges is not properly connected, it can help try gently bending the cartridge tab try to avoid to bend this tab over a half inch, as it could damage the cartridge.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you're still having problems!

I was gifted a HP Photosmart 7520. It doesn't have a black photo cartridge. I get an error message that said, "one or more of your cartridges appear to be missing or defective" my question is, should I black photo cartridge so the printer at work?

  • Photosmart 7520: Must the Photosmart HP 7520 TWO black ink cartridges (complete and installed) to work?

    Hello

I read a few threads where people are struggling with the question of black ink with this printer. These threads, it seems clear that HP didn't design this system very well, and I would tend to agree. Even if someone said I could find the cartridge (bowtie) smaller at Staples, I can't find it. Even if I could find it, I don't want to have 2 kinds of ink black to store all the time. And my printer does not print black with only a new XL Black 564 installed. Is there a setting I'm missing in the menu where I can choose the XL cartridge only? The manual is not clear on this, and I think it's something that should be clearly explained.

My question is simple, and please, one who answers, read my questions and do not provide a generic incomplete response and then put a little check mark 'Resolved' next to this problem. With 3 wires, that I read on this subject, the question NOT yet resolved or fully explained.

The printer may be used and black printing using only the right XL cartridge or do I need to have both complete and installed black cartridges to work? And a follow-up, the left cartridge (bowtie) should stay there so he works or can I remove it and keep filling the cartridge XL to go forward with the empty to the left slot. If you work for HP and you are reading this and 100% do not know the answer... call someone at HP who has designed this printer and know please let me know.

    Thank you!

The printer requires all cartridges having ink - they don't need to be full, but they all need to be installed and have adequate ink.  The thick black cartridge is pigmented black, mainly used for text and graphics on paper.  Thinner bowtie is the photo cartridge.  It contains dye black ink based and is designed for printing on photo paper.  Black pigmented ink is not compatible with the glossy photo media, black of the photo will be used in cases where the photo paper is selected in the driver or detected automatically.

The Photosmart 7520 has separated from the inks and printheads, with plumbing to connect.  All inks must be present to prevent air intake in the plumbing or the print heads and keep the printheads from clogging.  See here for more information on using ink.

  • Photosmart 7520: implemented on 7520 refurbished cartridges are not excepted by the printer.

the cartridge with the bowtie icon has no configuration of Word under number of cartridge as the other cartridges, which is why the message on the printer screen says "use the provided INSTALLATION with your printer cartridges"? I already took each cartridge and several times and the above message always appears. Should I come back just this printer remanufactured to Amazon or is it possible to have the implementation of the replaced ink cartridges?

  • Streaky printing cartridge Black XL Neuve (Photosmart 7520)

I installed a new cartridge HP XL Black in the 7520 Photosmart ten days ago.  Today printing black-and-white text I mostly started to become unreadable - scratched, stained, faint - even if the ink level report about 3/4 full for black (of course, the report itself printed with streaks, etc..) I removed and re-inserted the black cartridge to do it has been placed correctly (it was and it is) and then I ran the proper function of the printer cartridges. The print quality report came back fine (including alignment) except that the black box was scratched. After completing this report in print quality, I tried printing text. The first document of a printed page a bit scratched and erratic low spaces; the second time I printed, it's almost unreadable. Any suggestions?

  • Photosmart 7520 accepting not true 564XL Photo cartridge

    Hi all

Have a Photosmart 7520 who does not accept the authentic 564XL Photo cartridges. Printer was purchased from Denmark, cartridges purchased in Thailand where printer resides now.

Get a message (in Danish) that this cartridge is not appropriate for the printer.

On the packaging of the cartridge, it indicates that the cartridge IS adapted...

How can I get the printer to use this cartridge?

    Last update of Software/Firmware.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You will need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset." Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.  Webpage of HP on the subject is here.

Replaced my black ink text and got a message error "is missing or defective print head. The print head seems to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed. "She will not have the menu on the printer, to come. I took the cartridge and reinserted them but no love, error message keeps showing up without allowing me to access the printer menu. I have unplugged the printer from the power outlet and reconnected but again not of love. I hooked up the printer with a cable of the USP, but always the same without the menu on the printer error message appears.

When I run the box software tools HP from my laptop, it is impossible to connect to the printer, the without wire became turned off, I have always printed on my laptop using the wireless but now it will turn is no longer or it will connect.

Using the USP, it can read the estimated ink levels, which do appear correctly, the new black cartridge as full level, the news of "Health" of the print head are missing, when you check the peripheral Services receive ' Mission of printhead failure.

What can I do? I have had this printer for a year with no problems until now. I am also unable to locate an HP service provider in my area - Chula Vista, Ca 91911

I came across your post about the problems of print head and of the ink system and wanted to answer you. My best advice would be to try all the steps in the link below for this type of problem, see if you can resolve the failure of the print head.
