  Here's a simple Anatomy how it works:

  You have an HTML form that collects user input and you assign a "name" to each of the input fields - fname lname, email, phone, etc...

  And you set up the form for 'post' that data to a code of "php".

  So when your PHP code is running, he's trying to 'get' data that submits the HTML form - and it gets these data in input names / ID that has your form HTML:

  You define a variable for each of the question for example: $name picks up 'name' data in your HTML form and so on.

  Then you say your PHP script to use the mail() function to send data to a predefined address.

  That's the key. There are a lot more, you can do with your PHP code - for example, the format of the data in a 'table' and then email it to you. Or, once the form is sent, send an email to you and the person who used your contact form.

  On a sidenote, there is a nice PHP class, that you can use to manage e-mail. It supports SMTP authentication as well (if your server does not support or disable the php mail function). You can get it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpmailer/

• 9.2 messages will not send any messages on MacBook

  I am running OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 on a MacBook Pro 15 "retina (mid-2015) with 9.2 Messages. I also have an iPhone running iOS 10.0.1 6.

  A few days ago, I got an alert that someone had logged on to iMessage on iPhone 4S that I didn't own. I changed my password, and since I was not able to use the Messages on my MacBook. If I try to send a message using my phone number, he is trying to send a text message and fails. If I try to send from an email address, it sends as an iMessage and fails immediately. Everything works fine on my iPhone, but the conversations from my iPhone will not sync to my MacBook.

  I signed into messages on my MacBook and iPhone. I signed out and back several times on both. My phone number and email are all verified in the context of "you are reachable by iMessage to.   May be a corrupt .plist.

  Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

  Quit the application.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iChat.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

  Restart your computer, open the application and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

  If the application is the same, return the .plist where you got it, crushing the latest.

  If this does not work, repeat the above, but remove the com.apple.imagent.plist

  Until early this month my Thunderbird worked very well with my roadrunner email address. I have not downloaded any new software or made any changes to my settings during this period.   Did you ask Road Runner why your sent emails do not leave their server?

  Thunderbird, says 'send successfully' when it get an acknowledgement from the server that the mail has been received ok for the transmission. Your only option is therefore asking for RoadRunner.

  Move any message you want to save to a local folder that you create. Then, remove the problem of Inbox as follows.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

  With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

  General precautions for Outlook Express:

  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  I have the same problem as Marie-Claude.  Windows Messaging will check two email accounts, but the aol imap account will not send or receive, and it is my primary email address.  I have a security zone of windows asking for my username and password which will return an 800cccd91 error (I think) and the message that they are not valid.  The user name and password work fine by going directly on aol.com.  I turned off my avg antivirus mail and makes them require a secure password is not checked in the properties of the account.   I first noticed this problem yesterday after I had changed suppliers for remote access, but with aol imap is the only thing affected. My virus programs and spyware are up-to-date. I've seen several references to this same problem and the only other thing that I've seen mentioned that I did not is to remove and reinstall this account. If I do this, it removes all my emails stored under this account in windows mail?  What this has to do to my other computers running xp and outlook?  Other solutions?  Thank you

  Delete and recreate an e-mail account in Windows Mail lost all the data. You would only on the affected computer. Be sure to restart Windows Mail after deleting the account and before recreating the account.

   

  If no improvement:

  Your AVG antivirus has probably been installed with its default installation option that installs an email scanner. Just disable his e-mail analysis
