pinwheel

Pinwheel - I own a Macbook AIR.  It has 4 GB of RAM.  There are also 250 GB drive hard solid state with only 75 GB used.  My system software is 10.11.3.  I get the wheel more all the time.  Does anyone have recommendations to reduce the frequency of roulette?

  • Pinwheel 10-20 seconds on the launch of each application

Since upgrading my Macbook Pro at El Capitan I had a problem where launch apps cause a 10-20 seconds of reel. I ran repair disk such as suggested by some other items with no improvement. I used the console to collect newspapers while it happened between a launch system and Safari preferences and the only common element between the two seems to be the message, repeated three times.

The Safari window appeared almost immediately by clicking on the application icon. However, when the window pops up about 12:00:34 that the wheel seems to do the Safari window says plue, until that last SecTaskLoadEntitlements has no error is recorded in 12:00:47.418 (13 seconds)

This happens on the launch of EACH application on the Macbook, iTunes, Safari, Mail, preferences system, AppStore... everything...

I have no idea what happened to SecTaskLoadEntitlements, but clearly it is originally a kind of performance problem because this is the message that surround each reel application console.

Try these in order to test your system after each see if it is back to normal:

    1. a. reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

    b. Macs with Intel processors: reset of the controller (SMC) system management

    2. restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart again, normally. If this does not help, then:

HD recovery start: restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and press and hold the

COMMAND and R keys until it appears the Utilities menu screen.

3 fix the hard disk and permissions: select startup drive in the Utilities menu utility. Fix the hard drive and the permissions as follows.

When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility, and then press the continue button. After loading disk utility select it

indented Macintosh HD entry of the list on the left.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait for the operation

is over, then quit disk utility and back to the main menu.

4 reinstall OS X: restart from HD recovery Select reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, then click on the continue button.

Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest to use Ethernet if possible because it's three times faster than wireless.

  • MacBook runs very slowly, Rainbow pinwheel all the time

A few weeks ago my Safari began to act and to quit almost immediately when I opened it, I so reset my laptop full and cleaned then reinstalled the latest OS X. It worked after that and I can open and use it, but now I started to do the rainbow reel almost everytime I try to do anything, even typing the reel has revealed about 30 times.

In order to clarify the roulette is shown all the time even outside of Safari, when I click, I type, when I open applications, etc..

Since the last version 15.21 MacOffice update (160405).  The MACOutlook APP stalls sometimes when entering an email.  The wheel will start spinning and on several crashes of times, forcing me to "file/exit".  Did someone else who publishes with the Outlook application since the last update?  What are some of the possible causes of delayed typing?

  • Launch Indesign CS5 and pinwheel Mac appears as a bodyguard of spinning

I read in previous posts as much as possible in the hope of finding someone with the same problem I have but not luck. Here is the problem.

My Indesign CS5 launch, but just after I try to open a new or existing document Mac spinning wheel appears and I can't do anything in Indesign then. I have to Force quit to exit Indesign. I have a new MacBook Pro 17 "laptop with Mac OSX v.10.6.3. I ran the doctor of the police through all my fonts, and I tried to uninstall and reinstall the full CS5 suite 3 times already and also screw up my doc prefs several times. I'm not having the same problems with Illlustrator CS5 or Photoshop. Can anyone help please. If it helps I can post the crash report. Thanks Dean

    Hey people

I think I just find a solution to this on another forum entry. The problem you describe sounds like I got exactly the same problem and it was solved by following these tips posted by "Lipstickdesign":

    Hello!

One of my colleagues helped me with that. I tried Adobe support, but when they find out, I heard nothing more from them. At work, one of my colleagues knows this kind of computer/Mac-Fixer. His first proposal was to remove all plugins and try to install them again - one by one. I discovered that the plugin for character Chinese/Japanese/Korean called SING. InDesignPlugin caused my problem. I just removed this from my Plugins/text file and InDesign CS5 has worked well.

I hope it will work for you too!

This has indeed worked for me, so I hope this helps with you people too

  • What are 'File Permissions '?

My beginner reading: http://macs.about.com/od/usingyourmac/qt/Fix-Spod-How-To-Fix-A-Spinning-Pinwheel --Death.htm says that file permissions are automatically repaired now with El Captain but that before that perhaps they should be "repaired" after updates or the spinning Rainbow wheel can appear.  I get the spinning wheel on entry just after put the password in and clicking on (but it's fast and not annoying) but worrying to see nonetheless.

What are the file permissions?  Are they connected to the wheel that turns that I see at the time of the process, as it happens, or do I not to worry it is appearing briefly and then in endangered?

Overwhelmed - please help with explanation so that I can learn more about my Mac.  Thank you for your time and your consideration.

File permissions control which parts of the file system access is the best explanation I can find. They can cause a spinning beachball, but they are not the only thing that can cause that.

  • I can't download El Capitan

I have an Imac from mid-2011, with OSX 10.10.5 yosemite installed now. El Cap won't download from the app store after several tests. I read all the posts and have tried a big part of it: I click on the download button in the window of El Cap app store, and nothing happening, no pinwheel, nothing. I can't find it in my applications folder or in the launch bar. I signed on and in the app store with no result. I checked the activity monitor and ran an EtreCheck. I do not understand these last two items, but I got them anyway. I don't NOT have a safe mode, because I do not understand how.

Here is some info that I hope will help.

My Mac: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 processor; 8 GB DDR3 memory at 1333 MHz; 911 GB free on the startup disk.

Activity monitor: 982 for 3 seconds with 1 millesecond DURATION between samples.

    Etrecheck: DURATION 03:57, good Performance.

Also, I ran my own my Mac and restarted the computer. I also checked to see that the app updates are are produced automatically from the App Store.

    Thanks for the help!

  • Drive USB superdrive is not eject dvd

My superdrive usb drive is not eject the dvd. When I press eject, looks like her will be able to eject it, but it is not actually spit out the dvd. And it appears in my finder, but does not give me the ability to eject again. And when I drag the dvd on my desktop icon to the trash my cursor gives me the pinwheel sign of loading. I don't know what to do anymore. I keep trying and it keeps freezing up on top of me. Help me please!

Five ways to eject a CD or a stuck DVD from the optical drive

    1. Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press in and hold the left mouse button until the disc ejects.
    2. Press the button on your keyboard.
    3. Click the eject button in the menu bar.
    4. Press COMMAND-E.
    5. If none of the above works try this: open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following text: / usr/bin/drutil of ejection and then press RETURN.
    6. If this does not work then try this: start the computer in single-user Mode. At the prompt, enter the same command as used above. To restart the computer enter 'reboot' at the prompt without the quotes.

If neither of these work, then make an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar for the service. If you need a Apple Store - find a store - Apple.

  • Message stuck in the Outbox iPhone 6 s more than 128 GB

I have a message that's been stuck in the Outbox for weeks now. I tried to put the phone in airplane mode and I'm still getting the black and white pinwheel and impossible to delete the message. I have an iPhone 6 s more than 128 GB.  How can I remove this message that is slowing things down?

Try resetting your e-mail account. First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider and click on the account. On the next page, delete the account. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.

    Hi Cor - El
I want to thank you for taking the time to write this easy to follow the answer. I went directly to the folder via the specified path, tire/secure the 2 files deleted and found I could enter a new master pw without any problem.
I also read that this (and the previous) FF master pw modification is not allowed...
Well, damn. Guess that's why it is important to read the instructions FIRST.

  • Please recommend a virus/malware protection software.

    Hello

My iMac has been showing the pinwheel much more often, in my view, it might be a virus/malware issue.  Also, on two occasions, I got a note to friends that I may have a bug on my computer because of the emails received by them from my computer, which I have not sent.

Please advice on how better to clean the machine so that recommended better software.  Info from the machine is as follows:

    iMac

    21.5 "mid-2011

Intel Core i5 at 2.7 GHz

    DDR3 4 GB 133 MHz

    OSX 10.7.5

There is no OSX virus in the wild. It is malware, but it would be obvious if you had everything. Regarding the receipt of emails that you do not send friends. This means that someone is spoofing your email. You should change your e-mail password and see if that helps.

Slow can be caused by a multitude of causes.
