PIXMA MG5420 won't print wireless

I'm losing my mind.  I got my MG5420 PIXMA to print wireless, then something happened and I lost the connection. now, I don't remember what I did time changed so he can print wireless.

Window using OS 8, port is the USB001 virtual printer port. The control panel of the printer to connect WIFI to router by pressing simultaneously on WPS router and an OK button on the machine, says they are connected, but my laptop says printer is connected connection/no offline.

Can someone tell me how to connect my HP laptop to my printer?  I'm just freaking done with this printer.

Your printer is connected to the network, but you need connect your computer to the printer via wifi.

If it says USB then it is connected through the USB port.

Reinstall the printer to print wireless.

Here are a few Canon's PDF documents to help you.

  • C4780 won't print, wireless or USB

There is, I changed the name/pw in my wireless network, and my C4780 printer, I used as a wireless device has stopped working.

Today, I tried to reinstall the software to change the settings of the printer wireless and the installation wizard will not even recognize it when it is on a USB connection. I know that's not the cable or the computer, because if I install the driver without setting up the printer, it appears in Print & Fax in the system prefs. But it will not yet be printed via USB, and I can't understand how to set the wireless settings or the other.

What should I do? It's incredibly frustrating, it is practically new and completely functional.

I am running Mac OSX 10.5.8. I have reset the settings on the printer wireless, I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software several times. I tried to change the name of the network to what it was, but (I guess that since I had already reset the printer's wireless) that no longer works.

Make an another "reset network Defaults" configuration > network on the printer.

Now reset the printer by turning it off, disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer (not pregnant), wait 30 seconds, plug in and turn on.

  • C4780 - won't print wireless

    Hello

I spent about 2 hours until this installation and set up my new c4780. I ran the set up CD, everything completed successfully (but not the first time), including how to set up the wireless connection. However when I arrived at the end of the implementation process he said that was not the installation of the printer. He had not obtained at the point of telling me to unplug the USB cable (what would happen, they say).

The result of all this is that it will print when connected to the pc through the cable usb, but if I disconnect the cable and try to print wireless, he said "the printer is offline.

The wireless signal is present (blue light display) and the signal is strong.

Can anyone suggest what I should do - not too technical if possible, although I am patient by following the instructions!

    Thank you.

OK, you're in great shape.  The printer is connected to your router and you can see on your computer.  You are so far in front of most of the people and are almost cooked.

I'll assume that the software is somehow loaded until the end (I could be wrong on this subject).  If so, we will manually add the printer:

    1. click on the 'Start' button--> printers and fax machines.
    2. under print jobs, click on "add a printer".
    3. click on 'Next' on the Add Printer Wizard window.
    4. Select "local printer attached to this computer. Deselect "automatically detect and install my Plug and play printer." Click "next".
5 under, select a Printer Port option, select "Create a new port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "Next".
    6. in the "Welcome to the Add Standard TCP/IP printer port Wizard" make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the same network that your computer is connected to. click on the button "next".
    7. under "Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" enter the IP address of the printer. Click 'Next' and then click 'Finish '.
    8. now select HP in the manufacturers list, select your printer in the list of the models of printers and click the button "next".
    9. If you can't find your printer, you will need to find the installation CD and use the 'Disc' option to select one of the files hp*.ini. You can also select another model of the same type HP printer.
    10. Add the name of print spooler, and then click "next".
    11. click on "next".
    12. click on "Next" and "Finish."

Have you try to download the latest driver for your printer from Canon?
Make sure that it is the Vista x 64 bit driver when you download and install.  Remove the old driver completely and restart the computer before the upgrade to the new driver.

  • PC won't connect wireless but with a wireless printing?

I have windows XP and my PC won't connect wireless, but I can print wirelessly from the PC. This has happened once before, but Microsoft is not going to help me this time.

  • HP 7510 AIO printer won't connect - Wired workstation, printer wireless

Hello!  I'm talking about (and verified solution button) too early. The printer still "disappears" from the wired network XP workstation. The only difference as apply the given solution is that disconnect it now happening about every 12 hours, against every two hours.

Ink notification has the value "only when I print.

Static IP address is defined for all machines

HNDU works - when the printer is visible, but hangs at the workstation if the printer is not visible.

    Follow the original comments below;

Printer wireless HP 7510 goes - 4 station XP wireless network, w / 1 connected PC.

I think it's fixed now... the problem seems to lie in the module that will inform you immediately if the ink is low (vs only notify me when printing).  If, during the initial installation, the user selects 'immediately', then the printer will disappear randomly. (More on "re-find" later.)

In addition, it is difficult to change the notification of ink setting, because it doesn't seem to be 'sticky', but will sometimes flip. (I don't understand this yet).  As long as the 'notification of low ink' setting is on "only when printing", life is good.

If the printer does not disappear, go to the Advanced tab when the printer software/firmware page, instead of the current ink level.  Reset the selection on "tell me the notification of ink" to "only when printing" and then toggle the "autoshut off' from 'NEVER' to '2 hours' and then, finally, a return to '' NEVER. ''  Then, finally, press closed on the Panel.  Printer must be connected again. To test, returned to the Photosmart 7510 app and select "Show estimated ink levels".  The meter will start at 1%, to 41% and then bounce around until it displays the ink level.

FOR HP TECH: Please consider the "ink level notification" persisted to the registry OR to provide an of-install tool that will completely clean any prior installation of 7510 driver / app in the registry, to install a new can have this setting properly recorded.

Hope this helps some of you: it's a great printer after its running!

  • OfficeJet pro 8620: HP 8620 won't print via wireless for nay on my home mac

I have 2 Macs in my home, Macbook, and Macbook Pro running Yosemite. I tried to implement a pro 7310 office via an ethernet cable printer to print wireless from these two macs and after 3 frustrating months trying everything that I could find, I bought the 8620 thought that would solve everything.

Instead, it's the same. I am trying to print from firefox or word or anything and it cannot find the printer. But if I turned off everything, including the Mac and the router (N of Belkin N300 router wirleless) and the computer and then turn them back on, the printer is detectable and prints well. It just seems to disappear and I can't find it when searching for available printers after a few hours. I installed the last softeare for this printer and it worked when fine forst, implemented.

Any help would be greatly appreciated that I spent way too many hours trying to figure this, it doesn't help that I'm not that tech savy.

    Thank you!

    Hello @bokke ,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you are having problems of communication between your two Macs and your 8620.

    I would like to help.

Three things have caught my attention.

You said that this is happening to both computers.

You also mentioned that the same thing happened to another model of printer.

Finally, after you power cycle your network everything works. At least for a little while.

I feel that we should seek less software and more to your network.

Belkin N300 wireless N Router, how old is this router?

How is the printer to the router?

Your router should have the following configuration

~ The multicast must be on or enabled (allows connectivity Hello)

~ Wireless Ports, they can also be frozen in security software:

    The incoming (UDP) ports: 137, 138, 161, 427

    Outgoing (TCP) ports: 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500

~ Our printers support only the 2.4 GHz not 5 GHz

~ Recommended that the network name and password DO NOT containing and spaces/punctuation or special characters ~ Dual Radio enabled (for b/g wireless & networks n)

    ~ Mac disabled filtering

~ The built-in firewall must be the default or the lower settings

    This should solve the problem.

    PORTS TO UNLOCK.

    UDP: 137, 138, 161, 427, 80 & 443

    TCP: 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500, 5222 5223

So please make sure that multicast & Hello are enabled. Also never hurts to check for an update of the firmware.

    5. once all settings have been selected, click on the OK button at the bottom of the window to save the changes. The IJ Scan Utility main screen is displayed.

    6. click the DOCUMENT or PHOTO, depending on what you are trying to scan button. Housing starts scanning. Click CANCEL to cancel the scan if necessary. The scanned images are saved to the location of the selected folder previously specified in the SETTINGS... window.

If you find that you need to analysis advanced options such as setting resolution, brightness, contrast, saturation, balance colors, etc. in addition to the options selected above, please click the SCANGEAR button on the utility main screen Scan of IJ, then adjust the necessary elements.

How to set the printer wireless ad Hoc mode to CP1025nw with automatic stop is off? IE never automatic.

Thank you very much for your help, if necessary.

Quite a few questions, send, but I will do what I can to answer them.

I recommend first to buy a router, even if it's one you won't connect to internet and it network with others your PC and printer. This will give you the best features and the results of what you're trying to do.

In addition, the automatic stop of the printer function can be disabled and is not affected by the type of connection. Usually, you can go through the configuration Menu and select tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.

Finally, the auto off function on your computer is a Windows question, but one easy answer. If you're on a laptop, you can right click on the battery in the tray (lower right corner) and change the settings for energy conservation.

You might be better off installing the printer via the USB cord and alternately inspiring when you use it, but which is not optimal if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A network connection is the easiest to manage across multiple computers, honesty, but you have certain requirements for this connection and limits as well.

I hope this information is useful!
