PIXMA Pro9000 not black!

I've been printing upward a bit comic, it is all drawn in graphite. So after a few tests - using the original RGB changing print files deposited in gray scale, printing mode 'gray levels' - it was the latter who came better how I want it to look.

I printed some 240 9 "x 12" sheets without flaw. Then all of a sudden two pages come out very light. I ran a nozzle check test and the BLACK showed a few streaks, although nothing that I would call bad alarmingly. But I ran a cleaning. Always had streaks. and then after a second cleaning and another to print the nozzle check test, BLACK completely disappeared. I then ran a deep cleaning, but the BLACK is still not there.

What is strange is that maybe some leaves 20 or 30 in, the black cartridge needed to be replaced. But this replacement always through some 200 perfectly fine leaves. It is hard to imagine that anything stuffed up.

I have not yet tried to put in another cartridge, because this one is still complete reading. But if everyone advises this is the next thing to try, I'll do it. (The red on BLACK is solid; don't flashes do not).

This nozzle could all suddenly have bad / broken?

Aiyiyi... too bad! I put in another cartridge and it works very well. So, it looks like a new cartridge went wrong quite quickly.

I have a PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II Canon printer.

I have ten flashes of orange light.

The manual says that means that the front tray is not set correctly.  I have set and reset the tray before many times and I know that it is set correctly.  BUT, I still have ten flashes of orange light.

What can I do to fix this problem in addition to sending to my printer in for repair.  I am 85 years old and living mostly on social security, so I can't afford a huge repair bill.  In addition, with a refund I get the Pro 100 for ninety-eight dollars.  It's just that the Pro9000 Mark II is a great printer and I hate the thought of junking it.

All the tips on how to fix my problem without sending my printer in for repair will be always appreciated.

Everything worked, finally, happy. I've updated since a Pro9000 at PRO-100. Much and fantastic printer. There are some great videos on YouTube to help with the printer. Search for jtoolman.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

    • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  • HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-one does not print print test page doe but doesn't show is not black

I have a printer all-in-one HP Photosmart 3310 that does not correctly print a test page (print color but not black) and does not print a WORD document from my computer.  The color that should be black in the test page after CLEANING print head appears as a Purple-ish Brown, although after the PRINTER SNAP the printed page shows a short BLACK bar to the left of the five longer bars in FIVE COLORS.  The computer in use is a HP Pavilion dv7 with processor Intel Core i7-3610QM, 2.3 GHz, Ram 8. 0 GB (7.9 GB available), 64-bit and Win 7 Home Premium OS, SP1.

After having downloaded HP Print and Scan doctor, we arrived, after a series of steps to "If the cartridges have been refilled and none is empty, try calibration of color": Open HP Solution Center (start, all programs, HP, HP Solution Center), then click on settings, settings, printer Toolbox, printing on the tab device Services, click on color to calibrate.  This procedure is NOT AVAILABLE, however, because I can't find the HP Solution Center.

What should I try to fix this problem?  Please be specific - and please also include any recommendations for a remedy that is exactly what happens if something must be verified or checked before trying the recommended remedy.

Since the last post, I repeated the test several in Solutions of HP.  Whenever I have repeated the procedure clean print heads, improve the quality of printing in black ink a little bit.  After several passages of this test, maybe 5 or 6 more and separated by some rest of the time, the quality of printing in black ink has reached the State that I consider finally acceptable.

A variable that I can't rule out or rule through all this is the temperature and the humidity.  It has been a winter VERY exceptionally difficult, with a lot more than zero days and subzero temperatures.  And with that comes challenges with the indoor humidity (even if we have the whole House humidification).

In all cases, the printer now works without problem.  And I'll post that I accept the solution most recently proposed by the HP Forum.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: Officejet 6700 premium prints in color but not black

Hello, I had this printer new and used for 6 months, worked perfectly.  We moved and he was sitting in the box for the last 16 months.  I have just connected printer to the top and she supposed to replace the black print cartridge, so I did.  He also mentioned that the yellow was low.  I printed a test page and it does not print in blue and indicates the Microsoft Test Page.  I cleaned the print heads and I have replaced the yellow cartridge.  It took all three cycles of cleaning, but at least now, the ink test page shows all the color ink, but not black levels.  I ran the print heads clean again three times, no change.  When I put in place, reports, and report printing quality, I get everything except black output.  I replaced the black cartridge twice with no change...

Any thoughts would be great.  Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestions to Bob.  I've already tried one.  For cleaning of the printheads, I went on this link and follow in his footsteps.  When I got to the printhead out, I had a syringe and pushed water soapy warm through to the stream of print heads has been good.  I then ran the clean hot water through out the SOAP.  Then I used compressed air to dry the printhead.  I have no ink needed to fill the resovoirs, I so back up the device and installed the ink cartridges.  It took the printer a few power cycles to start working normally.  I also ran the printhead, clean once more.

The printer works like a charm again!  Thanks for your suggestions.

  • You are looking for a number that is not black

I need to get a long document for a number at the beginning of a paragraph which is not black. Is there a way to do this in InDesign?

With GREP, I can watch ^ \d+ find paragraphs starting with a number, but I don't know how to specify the constraint of formatting.

It can be done - or rather, not at once.

A method of passages is this: Add the underline of all numbers. Remove the underscore from all the numbers that are black. Check the remaining underlined numbers. Remove the underscore from all numbers.

You should do this, of course, with an attribute that you are sure that you do not use!

  • HP B210a Photosmart: not black not printing

I read all the similar posts on this problem but still can not my black printing ink.

I was to have absolutely NO problems printing, but needed to replace my cartridges.  Did, with the new ink HP 564, but now the black does not print.  I replaced the black with a new cartridge.  For the color ink levels are now less than half (from all the pages of diagnostics, impression I guess), the black is full.     I did everything what I can do. all instructions from HP, including soaking them head printing (only once).  I get the error 'ink system failure' and when I try to align the cartridges, it still fails.   When I reset the printer, I get error Oxc19a0013 and follow all the instructions to resolve the issue.   After all this, I resorted to buying a new print head, but I always meet the same problems.  Help, please.  Maybe it's time for a new printer thanks for any help.  It seems that it is a fairly common-HP problem can something to help?

On a hunch, I turned everything off-router, modem, PC, printer.  Now, the prints in black, but the colors don't. The estimated ink levels are OK.  Copy and print are the same black only.  He keeps asking me to realign the print head, I already did several times.   What happens here?

    Hi @PB14,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that the black ink is not printing with your HP B210a Photosmart on Windows 8.1. I'm sorry to hear that, but happy to help!

    I suggest the following guides:

    1. Printer prints a blank Page or does not print black or color ink for HP Photosmart Plus e-all-in-one (B210a, B210b, B210c and B210e) printers.
    2. " HP printers -"Problem with print head","printer failure,"'Ink system failure,' or ' 0 x ' r a 'C2 '.... "Displays Message error.

Also, I'd take a peek at this video:

  • Satellite C50D does not (black screen)

    Hello

I have a problem with a Satellite C50D-A-133 which does not (rest on the black screen).
I tried the reset procedure and I replaced the RAM without success.

    Has anyone had this problem?

    Thank you in advance.

PS: for information, if someone reads Toshiba does not have this message, the french support site (redirects to the homepage when you enter the serial number or by selecting the model in the list).

By reset procedure do you mean remove the battery and by pressing and holding the long power 30 dry?
It is the common procedure in case the laptop doesn't wake up no more.
But of course this will help in case of a hardware problem.

It would also be possible that corrupted BIOS CMOS data prevents the machine to start. This can happen in case of module of the BIOS EPROM, but this should be verified by the authorized service provider

As you can see, it's really not very easy to say what could be wrong here

  • Photosmart 6520: HP Photosmart 6520 does not black ink print

I ran through the steps on the troubleshooting http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03954004 page and it did not work. I know similar questions have been asked and have "answered", but I have found no solution that worked for me. The printer was working fine earlier this week, and all of a sudden, it would not print black ink. I went out and bought a new black ink cartridge and that does not work either. It was the same problem that led me to replace my HP Officejet 6500 I loved tenderly. I need an all-in-one for my work, but I can't afford to buy a new after spending the money on this one. The warranty just ran out last month and I need help to solve this problem, because I'm not buying a new HP if it is a problem that all have the all-in-one. Other family memebers suggest Epson printers, but I love HP and wants to stick to what I know.

    Please help me.

You mean by 'options', to have bought an upgrade right? Because I just got the phone with them and they me nothing that HP will make becaue it's out of warranty. So, build a defective product to force the new buy, is that correct?
