placement of legend in Excel

Hello

I try to control the placement of a chart legend in Excel from Labview using ActiveX. The lines of VBA I must perform in Labview are as follows:

ActiveChart.Legend.Select

Selection.Position = xlBottom

The problem I have is that I can't find a refnum of automation for the selection. I tried to search the Microsoft Excel object library, but it doesn't seem to be there. I've attached a screenshot of the code. I'm relatively new to active X so any help appreciated.

    Will be "automatic formatting" excel file the same way text done when you hold down the SHIFT key and click the loaded cursor? (I do not know because I do not use the Excel files in my work).

    If this is not the case, there are scripts for the placement of multipage PDF. I think that there is even an included in the sample scripts that are installed with the application.

    You can easily get the date in a readable format by converting the format of the time Unix date/time format:

    I don't think it matters what table is open when you paste the code in the text box "Execute SQL" to run the code.

    I also added the part in which the image is from a waveform graph. For this you must use the Invoke node Export Image waveform graph. I've exported as bmp, save it in a file and then added in Excel. It is a solution. You can try different image format in order to find the one that works best for you. BMP is big enough.

    Another solution would be to use the graphical waveform / invoke node / export the Clipbord Image and spreadsheet use invoke node function / paste. In this way, that you don't have to write the image to the file. Although I find it more difficult to control the position where the image is pasted.     I have an Excel workbook that has a large amount of data, calculation of many different things. Due to the size of the data, there is not a skillful means to highlight all the data of the particular journal in the InDesign document.

    What I have done, is I created another (Sheet2) sheet in Excel and have completed the Sheet2 worksheet via functions - as in I've seized the '=' sign in a selected cell to Sheet2 and then returned in Sheet1, selected the appropriate cell data I want to show in Sheet2 and press ENTER. Excel then takes me back to Sheet2 showing me everything that was in the cell of data on Sheet1. It's pretty basic things. This method works.

    My question is, when you place the Excel sheet (Sheet2) in InDesign in a linked file, comes from all the data that are based on text in the blank InDesign document. All data that are focused on the digitally appear fine.

    What is a math problem? As in, the formula used in the sheet Sheet2 "= ABC" to get the text of "Sheet1" data, is not reading text of the 'ABC' but rather of Fx = A * B * C and tries to solve a math problem? And because he can't make sense the formula it do not put anything in? Is there something I have to put in, after the sign '='? I tried "= text (subject!" B87)"and, but I still get empty cells when you import into InDesign.

    This is not the behavior, I expect to see, but in fact you're right:

    • In certain circumstances, the Excel data is erased from the field and a blank cell appears at the place when you put Excel data into InDesign.

    By default, InDesign will import data into a table not formatted Excel, and if this parameter is used in fact I see the text disappear cells as you see.

    A workaround for the problem solution:

    • Choose file > place, select Show Import Options, click Select file and click Open
    • In the Microsoft Excel Import Options dialog box, choose two tables: formatting once only, or a Table: table updated in the form in the section formatting.
    • Click OK.

  • Date format changes when you put an Excel file in Indesign

    I have an Excel sheet with the date format DD-MM-YYYY.

    I need to put this Excel file in Indesign - and the link, so I can update the Excel sheet and put it auto updated in Indesign.

    So I put my file management preferences to "create links when placing text years Spreadsheeet Files", go to file > Place and choose my Excel sheet. In the import option, I don't see any option to keep the date format. But when I look at the table in Indesign changed the date format DD/MM/YYYY.

    The same thing happens if I chose 'To format table' or 'Unofrmatted'. That if I copy and paste the table actually the show dates above right. But it's not a solution for me, since I need the linked Excel file!

    So, do I did wrong? Is there some settings in Indesign to preserve the format of Excel date instead of change?

    I use the Mac version and I get different results with the 2011 and older versions. I tested the top down and the values are different. On windows, MS Office is better, so I often work on Mac, but change to Windows, then save again with a new file name, and use it. But not everyone has this opportunity.

    Sorry, married, but nothing has changed there. The legend of failure is there as long as you have the levels of failure, now called "Failure Messages" is not set to None. It was the same thing in CP7 and 6.

    Place the file in excel, with the import options selected.

    Choose to place in the form of tabulated text not formatted

    You can then select all of the text and add a leader of a period to the centeral tab. adjust the placement of your tabs, and you're done.

    You really need to consider together, unless the user has assigned appropriate safety class and write access to it, the role won't do much. If you have no class security and no process management. Bare bones should be the default role and load the Excel data, the rest of the roles are not related to loading data via excel, they are related to consolidation, EI, I / C, workspace. If the user is using an online form to load the data via excellent so it must form data write back to Excel, but if the user is using formulas, the only one of the two above and the appropriate security levels should do the trick.

    The column of VBScript only plays in Between, In, and Like mapping. Are you sure that not looking for a similar rule, only in one of these types to the place? Export to Excel exports the cards (Explicit, Between, in, and Like) for this dimension.

    Also, if it's really an "Explicit" card, the only way that a value can be placed in this column is through a poorly configured model. Where someone filled out a wrong model when it was imported... because the 'Explicit' screen in the web-gui does not give you this field as an option to enter a value with.

    In any case, the column is not relevant for the explicit mapping, so I don't see the harm in changing the value. Please note that the import of models is not a replacement/merge/update. Mapping, so is the only way to change existing editing via the web-gui, or removal of all import of a new model.
