Planning reports > user time zone is not defined.

Hello

It gives below error when I select the snapshot recorded under REPORTS and continue.

The user's time zone is not defined. Please click on the link 'Préférences' in the upper right and specify you the zone to proceed further.

In the preferences there is no option to set the time zone. Please notify.

Kind regards
Raj.

There are 3 options of profile which must be equal-

1. "allow time zone Conversions' should be set to 'Yes' at the level of the Site.
2 ' server Timezone' must be set at the Site level for the time zone in which resides the database server.
3. "time zone of the client" must be set for each individual user in the user level based on the location of users (not if the default user level the value "Server time zone").

For customizations, see MOS Doc 304670.1 pl (how to remove a customization of the OA framework)

    Problem of time zone: time zone is not consistent
    From sqlplus, the time is displayed:
    SQL> SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL;

    SYSDATE
    --------
    09-11-11
    from the Windows command line tool:
    D:\coherence\lib>DATE
    The current date is: 11/11/2009
    Enter the new date: (dd-mm-yy)
    But from the Control Panel, it shows at the present time is 10:40.
    For this reason, a database of programs don normally work.

    There are two ways that you could do.
    Track 1:
    Search for a file by the name "glogin.sql" on your client workstation and add the following statement

    alter session set nls_date_format = 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS';

    Make sure that you save the file. This change will apply to all users who will connect to the database using SQL * PLUS to your machine.

    Track 2:
    Create a shortcut and place it somewhere (for example on the "DESKTOP").
    Right-click on the shortcut and choose Properties.
    The text corresponding to the box 'Start' to reflect the current location of the shortcut.
    Create a file by the name "login.sql" and place it in the same folder that the shortcut.
    Edit the file and add the following line.

    alter session set nls_date_format = 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS';

    Make sure that you save the file.
    When you double-click the shortcut to launch SQL * more and opening of the session, the "login.sql" script is executed.

  • U410 - cannot connect after Windows Update after restore factory when the time zone is not UTC-8.

    Steps to reproduce the error:

    1 use OneKey recovery to restore the initial factory settings.

    2. on the initial setup of Windows screen, select a time zone to UTC - 8, UTC (London)

    3. connect to Windows, open the Windows Update control panel and click on "Install updates"

    4 restart the computer to complete the update.

    5. on the login screen, try to connect or shutdown the computer.

    Result:

    Computer is blocked with the only desktop wallpaper and mouse pointer visible. Does not meet all the keys. By pressing the power button sleep machine. Press again on he wakes the machine in the blocked State.

    I have reproduced this problem 3 times for initial help restore every time.

    Wordaround:

    Before starting the factory restore processes, set the clock of system by 24 hours. After the end of the restoration of the factory, set the system clock to the correct time.

    Otherwise, wait 24 hours between a factory reset and try to install the Windows updates.

    Analysis:

    This problem is caused because of the way that Windows stores time. It assumes that the system clock is set to local time rather than UTC. When you use the OneKey recovery system he doesn't know what time zone of the system clock is set on, and so it assumes that it is set to UTC - 8. If it is in fact the UTC value, OneKey Recovery creates files with a time stamp of 8 hours in the future. This causes the Windows Update to fail.

    One step that I forgot to mention, that may be important:

    After the installation of the plant, during the initial configuration screens, I updated the time zone GMT London.

    Since the OneKey recovery uses GMT - 8, this can cause some files to have a timestamp of 8 hours in the future. Maybe if I waited 8 hours before the update of this problem would not occur. I'll test this by setting the clock system for 1 week in the past, make reset factory and then it retroactively to the correct date before the update.

    EDIT: Test successfully. This workaround works.

  • Setting of time zones for those imported for integration AD

    We are setting up integration of ads for VSM9 to import customers and agents.  We hit a roadblock with the time zones.  People are imported based on their membership in a group AD.  Members within each group can be of several regions with different time zones.  Therefore, it is not practical set the timezone in the model of the person.  Within resource maps, there is a timezone field, but I don't see any reference to the time zone in the AD resource that could be associated with the time zone field.  He also doesn't seem to be an option to create a resolution rule as you would for an organization or a location.  We have rules of resolution in place for the Organization and the location, the time zone which is getting applied to the person is not based on the Organization, but instead, it is to be set to 'undefined', which is the option selected in the model of the person.

    The idea has already crossed your mind that I could create a recurring SQL task that runs a query to update with terms such as "If the time zone is set to undefined, then set the time zone to match the organization."  However, I prefer not to do this way and use the system as it was designed, and using the SQL task would mean that those imported would have a time zone is not defined until the SQL job runs.  Someone at - it suggestions on how I can get around this by using standard parameters within the system?

    Untitled.png

    Hello

    Few things currently comes in my mind:

    * If it is possible to store the zone information in AD (to use any unused property or extend the schema with a custom). You can then map this property in your integration with field tz people rule. The worst thing - you need to manage updates (for example, script) of your users AD setting the values of the source (maybe the one you use for synchronization of organization vsm) tz.

    * You can create the SQL update for the AR_CLIENT_COMPANY table trigger to replicate the TIME_ZONE_REF value for all users in the current organization.

    I always have the feeling that it is possible to manage that with vsm rules of integration, but we should go deeper into your infrastructure, for example maybe you can update vsm people of the source you use for organizations.

  • Time zone offset problems

    I use a system where I have a Linux server and Windows clients.  The software is running is for security cameras, and it compares between the server and the client time zone offsets to determine what time to display for the recorded video events.  The problem is that Linux thinks I'm in GMT - 05:00, which is correct, and Windows think I am GMT - 06:00, which is false.

    Both are set up for Central time, and the two report the correct time despite the different offsets.  I'm assuming that Windows maintains the offset based on the time zone, and then applies in addition an advanced time of savings (DST) offset because if I turn off the DST, the offset is the same.  In any case, something is wrong.  He is not much of interest to mention the system that I'm under because it is obscure and who will not help.  But the time zone difference time lags is the problem.

    For what it's worth, this happens on several Windows XP and 7 computers.  An Android client works correctly, but is based on Linux, so not a surprise.

    Anyone know what the problem is with Windows time zone does not properly?

  • Best way to get the time zone

    I'm looking for the current time zone of the user. In my view, there is a function that seems to be able to do as part of the Pim calendar. I have to ask permission to do seems like overkill when I just want to get the current time zone is not currently using the calendar functions.

    http://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/reference/Cascades/bb__pim__calendar__calendarsettings.html#f...

    Is there a better way to do it?

    This can be quite difficult because there isn't anyway that I am aware of ask BB10 directly for the offset of UTC (GMT). The basic procedure is:

    • Get the current time with QDateTime::currentDateTime()
    • Make a copy with QDateTime::toUTC()
    • Force the date in UTC format.
    • The difference between the two dates and times now corresponds to the offset from UTC.

    Something like this:

    QDateTime dt1 = QDateTime::currentDateTime();
    QDateTime dt2 = dt1.toUTC();
    dt1.setTimeSpec(Qt::UTC);

    int offset = dt2.secsTo(dt1);

    After that it works offset will contain the offset from UTC in seconds, so divide by 3600 if you want hours.

    UPDATE: For everyone it is the future that has understanding of the difficulties of reading what the hell happens in this code...

    • Line, you get just the date and time in a QDateTime. This will be the time in the local time zone. It doesn't have to be updated to do this, any date and time will be, but current is convenient.
    • Line two is a copy of the first date and time, but as one hour UTC. If, for example, if you are in Toronto to UTC - 5:00 and the current local time is 15:46, then T2D will be set at 20:46, the time in Greenwich, England, but the dates are in fact always the same, because we're local, and the other is UTC. For this reason, at this point by subtracting from each other will result in zero, because they are actually exactly the same date and time.
    • Third line says to t1d" I know you think you're time local 15:46, but you're actually 15:46 UTC. " T1d believes that without a doubt. Now the two dates are actually different and separated by the local offset to the hour UTC.

    Hope this makes things clearer because the reason that this code works may not be obvious.

  • zone will not update automatically

    Hi all

    I travel a lot around the United States moving in and out of different time zones (Pacific, mountain, Eastern, etc.) I have the time to internet synchronization implemented by using "time.windows.com"but my time zone do not update or synchronize with the time." Example: I have traveled to Pacific at the time of the Rockies recently time, but the time my laptop was still at the time of the Pacific.

    Is there a way to get the time zone to update automatically the correct time zone, as does my Blackberry?

    Fine thanks

    I don't think there is, but you can view an additional clock in a different time zone.

    Go to the clock in the Notification area, right-click and select "set date/time".

    Click the 'Additional clocks' tab and select the options of the clock you want.

    It is done like this because changing the time of the computer can adversely affect program and process based on the clock being right...

    Hello

    It worked for me,

    1. go to the directory where you ran the script config.bat.

    2. use a text editor open the file config.bat.

    3. locate this line in the file: SET CONFIG_JVM_ARGS = % CONFIG_JVM_ARGS %-DCOMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME = % COMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME %

    4 Add this string to the end - Duser.timezone = "+ 02:00" and run the script to Setup again. "

    5. always confirm that the time zone the oracle db is properly defined.

    SQL > select sessiontimezone double;

    SESSIONTIMEZONE
    ----------------------------------------------
    + 02:00

    Hope that helps - it worked for me.

  • Time zone in Webworks works do not properly with OS 7.1.0.342 on BB9810

    Hello developers,

    We are running on a question of bringing together the correct time on a BlackBerry 9810 (OS 7.1.0.342 b1149).

    In Germany, we are now GMT + 2 due to the DST and the Javascript framework is always at the wrong time (GMT + 1).

    On 9810 devices with OS 7.1.0.1033 b2807 of the same code is back at the right time. So this behavior seems to be a bug in WebWorks?

    We have about 400 devices with the old 7.1.0.342 b1149 OS within our environment, so we are not readily able to do an OS update on all of these devices... The webworks app is a large data management that works with a SAP backend. The SAP backend reports errors due to bad time zones, so we can't use the app.

    Can you imagine no work around to get the correct time zone?

    Thank you for your support and your help!

    Thank you

    Daniel

    Hi Chad,

    Thanks for the link. We looked at the posted code there and found a bug in the JavaScript code for the old OS 7.1 to BlackBerry 9810 package.

    We tried the following code with the two beams of BONE:

    var d, i, lastoffset, newoffset;
    i=i;
    lastoffset = 0;

    while(i <365) {
     d = new Date(2014, 0, 1, 12, 0);
     d.setDate(i);
     newoffset = d.getTimezoneOffset();
     console.log(d);
     if(lastoffset !== newoffset) {
      alert(d);
     }
    lastoffset = newoffset;
    i++;
    }

    This code is looking for the days where the weather changes from DST to standard time.

    The old operating system is back on 01/04/2014 and on 01/11/2014 (it's fake!)

    The latest version of the operating system back to the correct date: 30/03/2014 and 26/10/2014

    Today (02/04/2014) the application works properly, because the Javascript environment is back at the right time yet. But we'll run into problems again in the fall.

    So now, we will update all our devices to the latest OS.

    Thanks for your support!

  • Necessary to define the database time zone differs from the OS

    We have a database of who currently resides in New York. Let's move to another server that resides in London. This is a problem, because each date which is currently in the time base is New York time, but after the move, all the new data that created time will always be time to London. We do not want users to have to remind any date preceding the date of move, will idle 5 hours if we would like to do is to have the database always on time in New York despite the BONE being London time. The server will be shared with other applications for the operating system time zone will have to remain with London time. The database will only have data for our application. So is there a setting of database that we can use to set the time zone database is different from the operating system time zone? The database is currently 10 GB but is promoted as part of the move to 11 g.

    What is the data type of the column? If the date or timestamp, then there is no time zone stored with the data. If timestamp with time zone, then the time zone of the data remains the same regardless of the time zone database and operating systems.

    SQL> select dbtimezone from dual;

    To set the same, tried the resolution below as suggested on the forums and did not fix the issue

    1. define the Application-> default Application of properties-> Run/Debug/profile-> Edit and set java options like - Duser.timezone = "-05:30.
    2 edited the jdev.conf file and set the AddVMOption property - Duser.timezone = 'GMT + 05:30 '.

    The steps that worked.

    Set java options like - Duser.timezone = "-05:30 ' for each project that is available in the application.
    Note: This correction of the problem. But my application has more than 10 projects and must be repeated. So for each application and its projects step below must be repeated.

    I understand that there is a resolution. But is there a solution to the same difficulty in JDEV level. If so help me please on the same sample.
