  This problem may occur if Windows Media Player is corrupted.
  Try the following and see if it helps.

  a. exit Windows Media Player.
  b. If you run Windows 7, click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
  c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Try to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media player from Windows features and check if it helps.

  It seems that your iTunes software seems to be stop unexpectedly when you play the music back after about 30 seconds or more. First, I would check to see if there are errors on the disc that need repair:

  Disk utility (El Capitan): a disc repair

  Once the repair and verification done go ahead and test the issue again. If that fixes it, then great! If this is not the case, however, I would then remove third-party plug-ins that may interfere with the operation of iTunes:

  Test with iTunes plug-ins removed.

  • Quit iTunes.
  • Mac OS X:
    • ~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins(The "~" represents your home folder)
    • /Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins
  • If all the files in this folder, move it to the desktop temporarily.
  • Open iTunes and test to see if the problem is resolved. If so, you can leave these plug-ins removed iTunes. If you want to reuse these iTunes plug-ins, check with the supplier of iTunes plug-ins to see if updates are available.

Based on your post, I see that you are trying to use the universal Clipboard; It works if you copy on your Mac and paste on your iPhone, but can find copy on the iPhone do not stick to the Mac.   The article does indicate that the copied information is available for a short period on the other device, so the first thing that I would say if you are having problems, iPhone copy and paste to the Mac, is that you wait long to do this; try to copy the iPhone and stick right away for the Mac. If you can't copy and paste even with almost immediate timing, try the following:

  1. Restart your Mac by clicking on the menu Apple  and choice of restarting... in the drop-down menu. Then restart the iPhone, as described here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

     Test the copy and paste functionality

  2. See if this works from the iPhone to the computer, even if your Mac is started in safe mode. Information about safe mode and the startup can be found here: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up

     Even if the title of the article is not specific to your question, safe mode is always a good step to take.   Thank you for your message.  There is no way to play .wma in the iTunes player.  You will need to find a 3rd party software to convert .wma to .mp3 files.  From there, you would be able to listen to the MP3 in the iTunes player.

  You CAN open the file *.wpl with a text editor. You can (or cannot) be successful
