Playback device

Hello!

So I had an interface audio usb connected to my computer and I got my speakers connected to the card from its edge.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-F2A78M-D3H.

For some reason, I can't change my interface with my speakers. When I try to change the interface to the speakers, the speakers are set by default, but the sound is not switch on!

I tried to reinstall the two drivers did nothing. And there is no new update either.

If I disable the interface it automatically switches on the speakers, but then I must refresh all since that they freeze.

I get no error when I try to change device.

I have been Googling autour and tried everything mentioned but nothing solved my problem.

I am grateful for all the answers, because it drives me crazy!

  • playback device error - idt hd codec

All of a sudden I am having problems with my playback device.  The sounds have been working properly until yesterday (08/10/12) and is now showing an error.  I came across the problem when I was trying to Skype, but the videos will not play with sound.

    Hi Pam,.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55094.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are done, reboot the laptop and let Windows load completely - it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.

Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

If you have still no sound, open windows control panel, open administrative tools, and then open Services.  Verify that the following services are all showing that status = started and the Startup Type = Automatic

    Audio service

    Multimedia class Scheduler

    Windows Audio

    Windows Audio endpoint Builder

If you need to make a change to one of the above, just right-click the service and select Properties, and then in the drop-down list box next to "Startup Type", select automatic and click on apply to save the changes.  Then click on the Start button.

    Kind regards

  • Playback device removed the Satellite A100

Hi, my wife accidentally deleted the device of reading, and that the sound card is still there and working very well (according to the Device Manager), I can't work out how to get the computer (A100 PSAANE) to make any sound! The playback devices screen says "no audio device is installed" and the volume in the taskbar icon has a red x and says "no audio output device is installed".
    Hugh

    Hello

I think the best way to correct this mistake is to back up all the data and recover your machine since if you're trying to tinker with something in your system won´t you have any success.

Just do it and enjoy the sound again after recovering from your beside.

  • Visible HDMI in "Device Manager" but not in "playback devices"... help please?

HP Pavilion DV6-1245dx update to Windows 7 (from Vista).

I had the problem of no sound on my TV with the HDMI connection. I had the brilliant idea to remove the driver and reinstall. The problem is that after I deleted the driver (do not know exactly what other that it was connected to the HDMI audio), the HDMI option as a playback device has disappeared. I clicked on "update driver software" (Intel High Definition Audio HDMI) in Device Manager (he said I had the current driver) and restarted. Yet, no HDMI option on the 'reading devices' screen. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Thanks DP - K. I've updated the OP with model and noted the upgrade.

In other news, I plugged a cable HDMI to the TV and then the HDMI in the "playback devices" window option became available. I removed the cable HDMI and sound still there. Again, I don't have audio, but will follow the fixes posted in other threads for that one. So I guess I'm fixed - I call this 'resolved' - thank you!

  • Audio oops: Device Manager says there is no playback device

I have problems with my audio, impossible to get all the sounds of any file or program. Experienced help and support, system scans, then everything else I can think. Device Manager says there is that no playback device control panel says device working properly, what should I try next?

Reinstall the DRIVERS for your sound card (sur-large or a map its 'ad in').

They (the drivers) have been deleted/removed/wipe out.

When in doubt, always... .go back to the 'basics', i.e. to 'start over '.

  • Playback devices does not recognize an output HDMI for sound!

I have my HDMI connected with video but my output of sounds/audio/playbackdevices does not recognize that I have a connected TV, how do audio? theres no monitor to set as audio device by default!

Normally, HDMI carries audio as well as video, so choose HDMI as the included default playback device work. If you don't see a HDMI, try:

    Click on:

    Start-> Control Panel-> Sound > tab reading .

Now right click on an empty area and make sure that see the disabled devices and see the disconnected devices are enabled (checked). If your playback device (HDMI) appears, right-click on it and select enable. Now, right click on them again and select set as default device.

If the above does not try to install the latest package of graphics driver that they usually contain the necessary audio drivers for output over HDMI.

You can also check that your graphics card is capable of audio over HDMI output as some may not.

Hi, following an automatic update of Windows Vista 64-bit I have no sound. Thank you for that.   I had a similar problem before, the sound quality has been reduced to a rate lower than 16 bit 44.1 k.  I've changed this before clicking on the button configure on the playback device, manage audio devices.  But now, this button is disabled and I can't check the set up or make changes.  I am logged in as an administrator user, how to re - activate the button set up?

  • Playback device selector

Is there a program out there that allows me to set different future programs through various playback devices?

For now, I have to manually switch the playback device before you start each program.

for example. I have to run my game with helmet as "Default Device", then move the default device my speakers before starting my music.

    I want a program where I can say "use to"Windows Media Player"and for «World of Warcraft"»

    Hello Wolfieeiflow,

Unfortunately in Windows Vista, there is no default program to change between different programs reading devices.

There could be some third-party programs that can help you move the playback device. I suggest that you use your favorite search engine to look for the program.

  • Audio HDMI not listed under playback devices

My laptop is and Inspiron 15 (3521, end of 2012). This morning, I was with my HD TV as a second monitor. The audio and the video worked. I wanted to switch the audio to the laptop and I accidentally disabled the external audio device HDMI so the portable speaker in 'use of the device' in the tab «General' of the «Speaker Properties» window I went to the dell support page and reinstalled the "Realtek ALC-3221 high definition (HD) Audio Driver ' recommended product for my laptop Dell support page. My internal Laptop speakers work once more, but I can't adjust the audio to the external speakers to my HDTV. The video works but not the audio. Before all this, when I right click the icon audio and selected "Playback devices", both the internal speaker and external speaker HDMI were classified as options. Now, however, only the internal speakers are listed. I just want to know how I can get back the external speakers to HDMI on my playback devices. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. Return to the playback of the sound and made properties right-click in the empty area to open the context menu, then click on 'See the disabled devices' and see if HDMI Audio return.

  • Several SndTAudio playback devices

I run Vista Ultimate, 32-bit MS.  There are 16 instances of SndTAudio listed as playback device in Control Panel, sounds.  All of them are disabled.  The driver tab indicates that the driver provider is SndTAudio, 4\4\2008, V. 6.1.10102.333, signed by "multimedia private authority".  The Device Manager shows an entry for SndTAudio.  Under driver file details, he lists the following drivers in the windows\system32\drivers: drmk.sys, LVUSBSta.sys, portcls.sys and SndTAudio.sys.   I use a Bose Companion 5 sound system.

What is SndTAudio used for and why is there 16 reading entries in the Control Panel, sounds.  Can I delete these since they are all disabled, anyway?

    Hi curt1943,

Thank you for visiting Windows Vista Microsoft answers forum.

The SndTAudio.sys file is not a system file. Probably, those are disabled and disconnected device listed in playback devices. To prevent these disabled/disconnected display devices, you can right-click the empty space in the reading devices and uncheck show disabled/disconnected devices.

Also, I will suggest you to run a scan for viruses online on the computer.

You can run the full Service scan of: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

Please let us know if it helps.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Cannot change the default audio playback device

    Hello

I tried to get a sound via HDMI, but after hours of trying, each solution is to change the audio playback device by default (in the volume mixer). My PC allow me to do so! It just won't change current default device (digital output Realtech). Can anyone help? It's driving me crazy.

PC is HP Pavilion Slimline model s5395a. Using Windows 7.

    Thank you, Bill.

    > I don't know much about computers
Then, it is the question, if you want to change things in the bios.
You can make changes so that the pc will not start, so be careful. If you don't change anything else, save.

    It is described here:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01884922

You can try some of the other steps first, access to the bios is described before step 10.
You can 'onboard audio' the value 'Auto', or just turn it off.
