Player Windows media poster duplicates, how to remove?

Windows media player

My Windows Media Player will duplicate frequently basically all my songs that are out there. Is there an easier way to get rid of all duplicate songs without having to go through them all and individually by clicking on each of them to be deleted? I've lived now also press the CTRL key and clicking on each song, but which also takes a lot of time. (I have at least 2 500 songs) If there is an easier way to go about it please let me know, or even a solution so that he could stop the duplication of all.

Hello

You can re-create the database of Windows Media Player and see if that fixes the problem.

To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

1. exit Windows Media Player.

2. click on start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

1. exit Windows Media Player.

2. click on start, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database

How can I prevent double or invalid entries to be added to my library when I play music files?

When you move digital media files on your computer, the file name and file path information remain unchanged in your library. Then when you select a file to play to its new location, a new entry is created in your library if you select the option automatically added to your library when played. As a result, your library can quickly contain a large number of entries, duplicate or invalid.

To prevent it be automatically added to your library of music files

1. in Windows Media Player, click the Tools menu, Options.

2. on the Player tab, clear music to add to the library when played check box.

You can't really uninstall Media Player from all current versions of Windows, it is a central element.  It is best to not not muck on that.  Also notes that some readers of third part depend on Media Player components working properly, ask only trouble if you muck on this.

  • C00D0FF4 error message when you try to share the media in the Player Windows Media Player 11 and Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit

    Hello
I can't share my media using WMP 11.  When I try to do, opens a window of options asking how I want to share media files (with xbox, other users, etc.), and I select the options and click OK.  Then, when I return in the sharing of multimedia files to see if the media are indeed shared, a window opens informing me "Media sharing has been disabled because a required Windows setting or component has been changed. For any additional help, click Help on the Web. When I click Web help, the error code above, with a few troubshooting not.  You must ensure that Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service is turned on.  However, when I get to the list of Services, WMP Network Sharing is not.  It is also a step to confirm the ownership of a registry subkey.  When I try to access the subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences\HME\ [security ID], however, there is no security ID subkey.  Instead of that, by virtue of the MCH, there is a list of "default (name), REG_SZ (type) and not the value (data)".

Suggestions about how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.  Would it be useful to simply uninstall WMP and start over?  If so, how to do that?  I saw an obvious way to do it.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Hi Catwoman,

Follow the steps below and check if that helps you solve the problem with Windows Media Player.

You can try to clear the database of Windows Media Player and check if it helps to load the music into the library and if you can play all the songs.

To do this, follow these steps:

    Step 1

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. for Windows 7: click Start, click Run, type Player, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media , andclicknext OK.

    3. Select all the files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Step 2

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Playercache of database files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. If you are running Windows 7, click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, , andclicknext OK.

3 select the folder Media Player, and then click delete on the file menu.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Also note before performing the steps above, I suggest to save the songs and try the steps above.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

  • Player Window media C00D11BA error

How can I fix this error

    Hi japodaca805,

The usual cause of the error C00D11BA is when the sound card drivers are not installed or outdated.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device, such as a map his or her controller.

    Things to try would be:

    · Quit other programs that may be using your sound device, and then try to play the file again.

    · Install an updated driver. To see if an updated driver is available, use Windows Update, go to the website of the manufacturer of your audio device.

    · If you have multiple audio devices installed on your computer, try to use another. The selected audio device might not support Secure Audio Path (SAP).

    1. click on organize, and then click Options.

    2. click on the devices tab, double-click speakers.

    3. Select the audio device, click on a different device, and then click OK.

    ·  Make sure that the audio device does not work correctly. To troubleshoot device problems, see Windows Help and Support or refer to the documentation of your audio device.

.  Make sure you have a sound device installed on your computer. If not, install a sound device (for example, a sound card) and then try to play the file again. If you are unable to install a sound device in your computer, you may be able to solve the problem by attaching USB headset or USB speakers to your computer instead.

When I copy a CD it takes forever. This has changed recently because it was fast. It takes between 15 and 20 minutes to rip a standard CD. It is used to do this in 2 or 3 minutes. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the latest version, but it did not help. I am ripping to MP3 format 128. I ran CCleaner and Avast. Any suggestions?

    Hi razorray1,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. Do you have any third-party DVD burning software installed on the computer?
    3. What version of Windows media player installed on the computer?

    Method 1

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, consult you are facing similar problem ripping CDs any other size of file and check if that helps.

Also uninstall any of third-party DVD burning software installed on the computer and check if it helps.
