playing a DVD from an external device

I just bought HP Envyx360 15.6 without CD/DVD drive, so I bought an external. I installed a LG external device and the DVD will not play. How to read the DVD to external devices?

Thanks I'll try that, after I have the LG device to uninstall and reinstall another LG unit. Hope this works

    Hi all

I put Photos on an external HD and it works fine, but I'm fighting by downloading pictures from there to attach to an email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.. When the 'Choose your file' window and I select the Photos, photos of just HD are not displayed. I know I have to choose my media files in the menu side, but since it is on the external hard drive it does not show the. What I do so far exports photos on my mac once again, then download and delete eventually, but it's such an effort... Is there an easier way to do this?

  • Acquisition of data from an external device that uses RS - 485

I am currently using a device cDAQ 9174.  I'm trying to connect the cDAQ to an external source that communicates via a cable series RS-485.  I spoke with several representatives of Lawbview and they told me that there is no direct way to talk on the chassis with the serial cable.  I need to buy a USB-485 cable series and communicate in parallel in LabView.  If I go directly through the cDAQ chassis, so why do I still need?  And I'm lost as in how I communicate with an external source in Labview.

    My second question.

I have a cRIO 9074.  And, through a lot of research, I noticed that it seems much easier to use this device for this situation.  My only problem is that I am new to LabVIEW and I think that working with the cRIO can be a little difficult for me at this stage.  My question is, it would be easier to make the acquisition with the above configuration, or use the cRIO and spend a little extra time.

The application that I am trying to make is the following:

I have a RS-485 of the external source.  Then, I want to broadcast the series of 2048 byte stream that is continuous in NEITHER and do review the serial data and assign a virtual indicator on a chart or display a message to tell me what will happen in the serial data stream.

cRIO is certainly more complicated to go only a USB-485 cable.  cRIO is designed more for embedded applications, series No.  You must also cDAQ in the equation.  All you need is the following:

    NEITHER USB - 485

    http://sine.NI.com/NIPs/CDs/view/p/lang/en/NID/12845

Someone suggested a cDAQ to you for this application?  cDAQ is a platform for flexible data acquisition for reading of the analog signals and digital bullies.  If your data flow conforms to the RS-485 standard, you don't want cDAQ for this.

I have attached a sample program to help you get started.  There are examples that are included when you install the NI-VISA driver that supports communication with LabVIEW series with LabVIEW.  If you have installed NI-VISA it should appear on you NOR Finder example located in the main menu to help > examples find if you search for "serial".

  • Download audio files on Windows from an external device (recorder)

I need step by step instructions on how to download audio files to a portable recorder (via the port USB.)  I want to download on Windows, then Windows Media Player and then place it on the desktop in a file.  Deeply, I'd appreciate any help.

    Hello

Please provide us an opportunity to help you.

I understand you want to move the audio files on your USB drive to your computer Windows 8 Recorder device. You can follow the steps mentioned below.

Note: follow the steps in the step 5 mentioned below on how to move the audio files on your computer that Windows 8.

If you want to copy the audio files from a source computer and transfer it to a recorder USB device and then download the same to another computer, please follow the steps:

    Step 1:

Insert your device USB recorder to the USB port on the source computer. If this is the first time using the player on your computer, Windows takes a few seconds to automatically install the drivers.

    Step 2:

Click on "Open folder to view files" in the window AutoPlay to open Windows Explorer with a view of the content of the flash player. Does identify its easy drive letter. You can also press Windows key + E and under devices and drivers for the USB device drive recorder is listed under "removable storage".

    Step 3:

Locate the files you want to transfer in Windows Explorer. Drag and drop these files on the drive of the recorder. By default, it copies the files, so the originals are still on your hard drive.

    Step 4:

Right click on the USB recorder and select "Eject" once the copy is complete.

    Step 5:

Remove the recorder USB key and insert it into the USB port on the destination computer.

    Step 6:

Open Windows Explorer again through the window of Autorun or go in the Explorer of files after the Windows key + E and the devices and drivers.

    Step 7:

Locate the files that you have previously copied to the recorder. Just drag and drop them to any location on the hard disk of the destination computer. If you need more copies on your device to recorder USB, right click on the files and drag them to the hard disk of the destination computer. When you release the mouse button, select "Move here" this will copy the files to the hard drive and delete the copies of the recorder USB.

    Step 8:

Click the recorder USB device drive and select "Eject" once the copy is complete. You can then remove the USB recorder.

  • Ethernet on external device with static IP address

I'm trying to connect my external station of development (Visual Studio in Windows XP/Fusion on my Mac) for Windows CE device through an ethernet cable crossed for the CE - device debugging.

This forces me to set a static IP address on the external device and the development station.
Both must be on the same subnet. How can I do this?
I tried to use the Bridged (ethernet) mode on the network card and set up a static IP address in windows XP. I also created another static IP address in OSX. Looking at the IP/ethernet side traffic OSX (using Wireshark), messages from the external device IT appears, but glancing Wireshark in merger/Windows XP, I don't see them.
Am that I on the wrong track here with the Bridged mode?

First of all you shouldn't have to use a crossover cable as Ethernet adapter of the Mac must Auto-Sensing and automatically process the cross above a straight through cable. (At least this is so on my Mac.)  Secondly, I would not give the host a IP road-able and only set the IP in the - CE device and virtual machine with no gateway/DNS IP address. When you use a NIC jumpered in the Virtual Machine.

On the host if the Ethernet adapter using DHCP then you will have to wait for it to expire and get a 169.254.0.0/16 address IP or if you want an answer more quickly then manual assign a 169.254.0.0/16 IP address for the host's Ethernet card.  In this way communication is directly between the - CE device and virtual machine using VMware Bridge Protocol.

If you do what the host itself to have connectivity in this loop, then of course assigns an IP address appropriate with no gateway/DNS IP address.

    Example of IP address Configuration

    CE-IP address: 192.168.3.1/24

    Address Virtual Machine IP: 192.168.3.2/24

The IP address of the host: 169.254.0.0/16 or 192.168.3.3/24

No gateway/DNS on any IP address.

  • Satellite P200 - 1 FT do not play HD DVD: error on an external device output

    Hello

I received my free HD DVD yesterday and was very disappointed that my laptop could not play all. I always get this message:

"Impossible for the release of the video on an external device. Please put your screen by pressing the Fn + F5 keys after the end of the application. »

I've already updated the following for the latest versions of yesterday:
    -Firmware
    -HD DVD player
    -Display driver
    -Sound driver
    -BIOS

Like I don't know what I can do, I would be recognizing any kind of advice.
    Thanks in advance!

    What to say;
It seems that the audio driver should be updated.
    I found the solution here:

    [HD DVD title does not play ("unable to output the video to an external device"): http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_dtlView.jsp?soid=1664788&moid=1854872&rpn=PS B PB9U & BV_EngineID = ccciadedefffijgcgfkceghdgngdgmn.0 & ct = S & all_docs = false]

I see you already tried updating the sound maybe driver you should chose a driver from the Web to Realtek site directly.

  • HD - DVD will not play on Satellite P200-123 unable to output to external device

    Hello

Yesterday I bought a P200-123. One of the first things I tried after installation of Vista originally ran a HD-DVD. I know that the drive is fine as it works in my Xbox 360. Unfortunately, it has not worked with the software provided the HD-DVD player - the play icon will light up and then I get this error message:

"Impossible for the release of the video on an external device. Please change your display keys of the device by pressing the Fn + F5 after the end of the application. »

I don't have an external display connected to the laptop. I tried different discs but all gave me the same error. I then carried on the update of drivers and install a bunch of Windows updates. I tried several times the HD-DVD player in the countless updates and restarts but I still get the same error. Frustration, I bought PowerDVD Ultra. Who played the film for about a second before giving me an error:

"Failed to initialize the display secure session - (error Code = 0122).

The error dialog box goes on to say that the error can be caused by an incompatible graphics driver or even because I use a Setup dual monitor. The reference to two monitors is common to every player application so I wonder if the problem is in this area. I have not connected to a secondary screen but when I look at the standard windows display properties or the ATI Catalyst control center app dialog I see a disabled secondary monitor. I guess that's normal - there is no obvious way to remove the secondary display disabled.

Can anyone help me to work the HD-DVD playback?

    Thank you

    Ian

    Hello

I found a good thread posted several days.

There is exactly the same problem and a link to the document from Toshiba with the solution.

According to this doc Realtek Audio Driver for Windows Vista installation or update should correct this problem.

Check it out and please give me feedback.

  • Satellite P200-1EE: DVD player HD Toshiba "video output for external device cannot".

    Need help!

My P200-1EE won't play HD DVDs. At startup the HD DVD software with an HD DVD in the drive, the drive displays on the screen, and after a short time returns an error. The message is ' + Toshiba HD DVD Player - impossible to output the video to an external device. Please change your display device by pressing the FN + F5 keys after the end of the application ' +.

Problem is that I do not use any display on the screen of the laptop. Only the screen of the laptop is available when I use FN + F5 suggestion. It does not cure the problem.

Drivers are up to date as far as I can tell.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I searched this forum for similar issues and I think I have a solution.
It seems that the Realtek audio driver causes this problem.

According to this Toshiba document a new soud driver installation will help you solve this problem of HD - DVD.
