Playlists Freakin stupid.

OK maybe Im having one day stupid, but is it possible to delete a playlist and have it remove all of the songs in this playlist? For example, I have a playlist of Christmas music, I'm ready to get rid of him, that I have to manually go delete the playlist file and remember the songs in this playlist, and delete them too? Or y at - there a way to do this in one step?

WMP11, Media Monkey v3,

2g, 2g SD, Vista PC of detonators

When it comes to remove the playlist file and also the song themselves files, then you need to remove both. Removal of the playlist is only; simply remove the playlist file. You will have to go through and delete the song files separately. Faster & easier to do on the computer, rather than using the built-in DELETE SONG.

In the future, or now for next year, consider placing your entire collection of Christmas on a micro-SD card. A 2 GB card should be sufficient. They are really in-expensive now. I have about 20-30 CD (didn't count them) for a total of 324 songs ripped at 256 Kbps on one. 17 hours of holiday tunes. And if you create a .m3u playlist, it will be stored in the folder MUSIC (or root) of the card, so it will appear on your drive when you insert the card. And he won't be there when the card came out. Just remember where you saved the map in a year.

Alternatively, you can also rename the TYPE field in the seasonal "Christmas" songs ID3 tags and then just play like this when the season rolls again. Did the same thing as a selection. And it's very simple to do in MP3Tag.

  • Being probably really stupid, but I can not get my Playlists on my Sansa Clip

    Hello!

You just bought a Sansa Clip 8 GB for the United Kingdom and I'm very happy with it - many of my CD then tried to get smart (?) transferred by creating a playlist, put a few songs in there and synhcing to the top with Clip - no joy!  The read-only list that I see on the Clip is "GoList" and the only way I can add songs to the one on the camera itself - not ideal but doable.

Have updated the firmware on the clip to the latest version with no improvement - can't seem to curb any personal playlists - I even tried to create a playlist called 'GoList' to see if ir would crush the GoList playlist on the clip.  There can be no.

I use the clip with Windows Xp Home Edition (SP3) which has WMP 11.0.5721.5260 and have the unit as automatic detection modes MSC and MTP mode did not work (the computer does not recognize the device)... I think that mode MSC, PlayLists don't synch?

Any help / advice would be appreciated gratefully.

    Jim.

    Glasgow, Scotland, UK

Thank you very much - now that I know that playlists are not supposed to synchronize in MSC mode, I'll invest my energy to get the mode MTP to work... just thought I was missing something really obvious.  In terms of achievement of the MTP mode work there are loads of articles and advice in this forum and elsewhere on that - I probably need a update driver MTP or need a better version/reinstall WinXP HE or something like.

As I am totally new to the unit - and digital music in general (been in the dark ages too long!) I really did not know what, if anything I was doing wrong.  Your answer really helped (and it is not indicated in the user manual or the docs supplied with the device) once again, thanks a lot.

  • playlist

    Hello
I am facing a problem with my safari, playlist.  I don't have the ability to delete individual items from the list.  The greys X which is supposed to appear in the upper right of the clause disappeared completely.  Leaving me with a complete reading list and no way to empty.  I don't want to delete the list completely, I want only to remove specific items.
My computer is a Macbook Pro OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

You can right click on an element and select this option to remove it, but I think it was stupid / a error to remove the X for removal. Maybe they will add this back with an update.

In the meantime, just right click and select Remove. Almost perfect, but better than congestion.

  • Is there a way I can move the playlist of my Safari in another browser?

My computer was giving me grief (see details on the saga here: Macbook Pro gel randomly display.) Sounds and cursor still works.) and I wonder if Safari might have something to do with it. I plan to switch to a different browser such as Firefox or Chrome. However, I use my Safari to read list very frequently, and the list is extremely long. I was wondering, is it possible that I can transfer sort of playlist of my Safari in one of these browsers so that I can access my list of reading pages in these browsers?

I know this may sound stupid.

If this is not possible, could you suggest a way for me either:

    1. Find a way to translate the playlist pages Favorites (as opposed to the playlist entries) for the new browser?
    2. Reading to find a way to transfer or copy the URL and possibly the titles of each entry in list to another type of list (for example a Word doc)?

I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here.

    Before I forget, I use Safari 9.1.

  • "Adding to playlist itunes purchase will download a copy on your computer.

What it means?  (Long story) I've recently updated to El Capitan 10.11.3 and also iTunes 12.3.2.35.  I have no game because it caused many problems for me.  I was happy to see 'Music' as a playlist that shows everything in iTunes is in this version.  The previous version I was using on OS 10.6.8 had that.

Looking at the list of reading music I noticed that I had a duplicate song.  We were already in one of my playlists where it belongs, and I could click "Show in Finder."  The other version was not in a playlist and I can't "show in Finder".  The quality of this version is better that the copy that I have on my computer so I decided to put the other in the trash and move the best copy in the playlist where the other was.  But when I tried I get this.

"Adding to playlist itunes purchase will download a copy on your computer.

I guess it is a purchased version, cloud or something and isn't really on my computer, Yes?  As far as I know, I don't have Apple cloud past.  I love my music real files on my computer and to be able to move them and organize them however and when I want to.  I don't want some music files mysterious that I may, or may not be able to listen to a certain point depending on what service I use, or a file that I need to download a copy whenever I want to put it in a playlist.  In addition, I don't want or need two copies of any song even if it's one I want, especially if I can't remove it if I want.

What happens here?  I've stuck with iTunes all these years, but it seems that whenever I update something is even worse... or am I just stupid for not getting it?

Okay what is happening with iTunes?  All my old playlists are gone and then this message "Add to itunes playlist purchase will download a copy on your computer" I just want to have playlists for my different moods, activities, etc..

I burned a CD of music seems to have disappeared.

    The difficulty of this shit!

  • Research and the removal of several pieces of a playlist in iTunes 12?

How can I find and remove, for example, all the songs with the word "fnord" in the title of a playlist without removing them from the iTunes library?  I seem to remember that this OPPORTUNITY be possible before Apple mucked with the interface... Or am I just getting old and stupid...?

FWIW: I'm running iTunes on OS X 12.

    Hello

Open the playlist. Click Edit playlist at the top right. For a smart playlist, the rule of game in the name / do not contain "xxxx" then click OK. For a regular playlist, just select the songs and remove them, then OK remove it from the list.

  • Songs of parentheses do not appear in the playlist

    Hello

I have a problem regarding the use of playlists with my Sansa Clip +. My tracks in the music / folder are sorted by artists. I have a special artist folder called '(various)' (the parentheses make this folder appears at the top in my library) where ranger various artists who are not owned by an album titles (and for these tracks, mp3 tag 'Artist' is equal to '(various)').

The problem is these titles do not appear in my playlists. I have no problem browsing these tracks via the menu 'Artists', I have no problem see the titles of 'real' artists in my playlists, and I have no problem see titles that contain a parentheses in their name in my playlists.

Is there any solution for this? I'm doing something wrong? Is my only option to rename this folder '(various) "?

PS: I use .m3u playlists. Here is an excerpt from a playlist:

    ..\Music\(Miscellanous)\2Pac vs. Gramatik - I Wonder If Heaven Got A Stairway.mp3
    ..\Music\Astronote\The Raw Tape\08 Astronote - 90's Love.mp3
    ..\Music\GRiZ\Mad Liberation\09 GRiZ - Better Than Ive Ever Been.mp3
    ..\Music\DJ Shadow\Endtroducing\02 DJ Shadow - Building Steam With A Grain Of Salt.mp3
    ..\Music\(Miscellanous)\Chaptabois - Commercial Joint (Instrumental).mp3

And here is the architecture of the files to my Sansa Clip +:

    Root/
        Music/
              (Miscellaneous)/
              Artist 1/
              Artist 2/
    ...
        Playlist/
                 playlist A.m3u
                 playlist B.m3u
    ...

OK... found where my problem comes from... it's stupid. The playlist was not properly trained: file was the name '(various)' instead of "(MiscellanEUO)". " Do not see it at the first glance, sorry for this post wrong.

    Thanks for your help though!

  • Playlists - a former but a goody

Hello, I am a newbie and just bought my Sansa Clip + for use at the gym.  I received a card to 32GB microphone inside and loaded a bunch of albums there with the view to the creation of a couple of playlists from them.  No problem and the sound is rarely good for such a small device. And so on for the list of reading: I usually use Monkey Media on a Windows XP computer, but this time, it doesn't seem to work, no selection did not appear on the device.  So, I found I had the same WMP as in the instructions and thought I'd try that.  Nope.  He asked to load a "folder" in the library (I'm not familiar with WMP, I note) but would not accept an artist folder I tried to offer it.  Finally, I created a separate, large 'Music' folder.  It almost worked, but WMP show all albums for a reason, so I gave up on that.  In the meantime, I discovered this topic PSG vs SCM to set, but still can not go right or understand why they are there.  Along the way, I created duplicates of every song on my playlist, deleted everything trying to remove duplicates, tried to copy my music on, only to have the process hang on several occasions for some reason any while I was watching.  He created also, for some reason, artist and album folders that are actually completely empty on the memory card.

So, now I'm getting desperate.  I haunted forums (for one?) and found a host of contradictory instructions.  I said looking for the answer in the latest discussions, and then I read that they are no longer updated and that a new thread should be started.  So, I'm here, and here my question:

How can I create a playlist using Media Monkey or on a portable computer that is running Windows 7 or XP PC? And what is the best for this control or to PSG?

I'm looking for a definitive guide, step by step, and not in piecemeal bits, contradictory advice that I've been finding.

I'm open to other software with the exception of WMP, because I can not work at all.  One thing I know I have to do is Rockbox and I do (it seems so much easier these days that when I have my iRiver IH40 Rockboxed!) but I don't know how much this will help you.  I want just a step by step simple and straightforward guide that actually works.  I couldn't find one for my beloved Cowon X 7 (same thing - lots of tips, none of this actually worked) but the whole point of get the Sansa Clip + just had to use it for the gym with playlists.

I know it's something stupid, stupid to many - if not all of you - there and I admit I'm not the brightests technospark, I kept the perfectly fine playlists on my old iRiver, but obviously technology has, for some reason, moved.

I'm so appreaciate any help that can give a sweet soul, patient.

    Thank you in advance.

    Adam K

Can't help with media monkey, but I just downloaded winamp lite. It opens in a horribly small window that can be double size under options. If you can live with that (and I don't), the playlists is a snap.

Open the player in windows Explorer to see the albums of music, either by virtue of the music for the main memory or one you use on micro card (I have just the folders under the root). Select some files to source some albums or folders you use and selections drag winamp playlist window. You can use only a single source, either main memory or micro.

When just select playlist option and save the playlist clip +, repertoire of music for the internal memory or the micro root card (if you have created a repertoire of music on micro card you probably save).

  • Create playlists of music already on the player in MSC mode

Let me start by saying to pretend I'm disabled mentally. I've never used a sync button in my life has always been Sansa and used to use MTP mode, right click in Windows, create playlists of pla and get exactly what I wanted. Now I have a zip clip and based on other issues, has decided to switch mode MSC that no longer allows me to right click to create files of pla. So I have a clip zip with various structured files that I leave on the random mode. Everything is good.  I want to create some playlists that put some albums in the order of the pieces. There are several reasons I want to do what some of the music lies in different folders.

So the question is how to do this? Yet once again, I have synced never anything in my life. I opened the windows, created a playlist by dragging the songs on my player and sync says, but who seems to want to copy all the music in the folder (it is are not enough space).

All I want to do is create a playlist based on songs that I already have in my records player void, not copy the music to the player. I don't really know WMP interface since everything I've ever done with, it's hitting the room.  Can someone tell me if I can do this and if so, how, step by step?  I have a Sansa Clip Zip, Windows XP and WMP11.

I really apprecate any help and apologize me if my question is stupid. I went with Sansa from the day 1 to avoid synchronization of Word and simply drag - move the hard drive to the player, but it's time to broaden my horizons.

    Mar

I tried to create several playlists that were basically my favorite albums in the past, back when we bought an album and he played in the order of songs over and over again. The life of God was so simple, not better just more simple.

I just realized that WMP is not the same thing as WINAMP. so I downloaded WINAMP, followed the instructions I got from another forum (anythingbutipod) and it works. Here is the thread in case someone else is as naïve as I am (and assuming it's ok for me to post here)

  • Playlists and data cards, need help.

Is it possible to put a playlist on a memeory card and have this playlist appear in the menu of the music with the internal playlists? I have a v1 e260 as well as a 2 GB card... I made a playlist and tried to put it on the memory card in msc mode. The music is on the map, but not in a playlist. The music is presented as individual albums.

It seems pretty stupid to not be capable of this. I'm not a fan of just drag / drop off willy nilly.

Since you have a player of v1, you can use playlists format .pla and even combine music card and memory in a single playlist if you want to.

The key that you have to remember is:

Go PLA playlists in the PLAYLISTS folder on your drive (not on your map)

Make playlists m3u NOT go in the folder SELECTIONS. This format requires that you put them in the MUSIC folder along with your music. With this format, you must make separate lists for the internal memory and the card. They are not cumulative in a playlist. So, if you create a music .m3u playlist on your map then Yes, you store this list on the map as well.

When you view the playlists menu on your player, if you have a .m3u playlist on your card, it is designated by the small icon to the left of the title playlist showing whether they are on the memory card, just like with the songs.

    I hope this helps.

  • E200 issue of playlist/shuffle SD R - box'ed

    Hello all-

I have a couple of E200, two V1. Both are Rockbox' ed. I want to use microsdhc cards more in them, but am puzzled something. How can I get the shuffle function to 'see' the songs at the same time the main memory & card so that it mixes through all the songs? At the present time, he'll mix one or the other, but not both.

I thought to create a playlist for everything, but since Sansa V1 recognize even a 4 GB card, I can't synchronize just something. How I put together a playlist of the player off power & make run the player? Or, if all goes well, how I just get the player to shuffle through the entire library on it?

If all goes well, it's very easy & I appear quite stupid. ;-)

Wow, it was easy & I'm stupid! ;-) I used lists song under "Files" instead of "Database". I tried & mix it all without a hitch. Thank you!

OK, here's my problem. I installed VLC. It works very well. I have 'Add to playlist in vlc meadia player' on the pop-up menu file.

PROBLEM: If I select more than 16 files and then "Add to vlc meadia Player playlist" disappear from the file context menu.

ANNOYING: This stupid Windows Media Player is still there.

QUESTION: Why vlc disappear from the file context menu if I select more then 16 files but wmp doesn't?  Is M$ trying to force people to use WMP?

I also did my OWN program and he added in the context menu, and I discovered that my OWN program has also 16 files limit.

Why windows deletes non MS program context menu, if I select more than 16 files? How can I solve this problem? I want to have my custom context menu program, even if I select more than 16 files.
