  Plex Media Server worked with Vista, but apparently ot with Windows 7.  All solutions?

  I discovered Plex media Server will not start since the shortened link in "all programs".  It will launch in the taskbar (bottom right), where it was included in the "hidden icons.  In other words, the problem was (my) operator error, not a problem of compatibility.

  I have a problem with streaming * avi files * via * DLNA * on my TV * 40TL838 *. My * Ubuntu Server 12.04* is my Media Server with a * Plex Media Server * running on it. The Plex Media Server is my DLNA server. I am able to view the mkv, m4v, m4v... videos, but my avi files I can see, but if I select a nothing happens.
  Streaming via DLNA on my iPhone or iPad is no problem.

  First I would recommend you to check the records of media supported player.
  This is mentioned in the manual on page 67/68

  There, you will find all the details on the format of media supported, video codec and audio codec USB and DMS (digital media server is a device that can function as server for a player) reading.

  As you wrote, Satellite A210 is not Windows 7 64 bit supported, so the only option you have the Vista 64 bit drivers

  This can help with some (but not all the) programs/drivers:

  (1) uninstall the program, if it is already installed. Then when install you / reinstall instead of double click on the Setup file, right click and select 'resolve compatibility issues.

  (2) then click on 'Try recommended settings' and in the next window, click on "Start the Program" to install it.

  (3) after he set up see if it works properly. Note: some programs may not be able to run in Windows 7.
