Plot XY to polar trace

The plot required is a polar plot to draw the objectives is to identify a radar detector. I traced a XY Chart with coordinates obtained remotely and measures of angles.

I want to draw this positions X and Y in the polar plot. Source to the XY graph is a cluster of 2 elements while the connection to the Polar curve needs a picture 1 d of the cluster. The individual data are table 1 d of double and make a bundle does not solve the problem.

Please let me know how to build the polar plot with distance and angle data.

Kind regards

Is there an easy way to manipulate the angle scale on a ground of polar?  Specificaly I want to 0 degrees where 90 degrees is and then fill in the counterclockwise around the circle.

I installed the following update sound and vibaration and I have the Polar VI trace to the 8.2.1.

I sounds like the plot of Polar VI is only in the more Sound and Vibration and not in the Toolbox.

  • Problem with several polar plots

I have a vi where I graph three plots using the polar plot vi.  The problem is that one of the graphics are messed up when I draw all.

You can see that the outer circle does not look right.  However, when I have the probe after the individual parcels, they seem to be ok, except the last.

I have attached a strongly simplified VI.

The first chart, you must draw the grid and it works fine.  So for all subsequent graph you can change the color of the transparent grid so it's not redraw on the other plots.

  • How to determine the type of trace

    Hello

I use a graph xy with a variable number of plots: line a few plots and multiple xy.

After tracing, I would like to inspect the data: for this purpose, I thought that scroll the plots using ATTR_FIRST_PLOT and ATTR_NEXT_PLOT.

Then, using GetPlotAttribute (ATTR_PLOT_YDATA) I thought to get the data sets for analysis - I hope the plot is an xy trace and not a line plot... Unfortunately I have not found an appropriate attribute that I could read to differentiate a line plot and a plot xy - using GetPlotAttribute (ATTR_PLOT_YDATA) on a line plot is not valid and returns an error. (There is no trace of attribute plot type)

The only thing I could think about using different lines for the tracing types - but in this case the xy plots are dispersion diagrams...

    Tips are welcome...

There is an attribute of type of terrain without documentation, that you can use. You can't define it, but you can get it.

You can find it in this list of attributes without papers. In this case, you don't have to worry about disclaimer that in this post, I did. After this public list, we will certainly not belittle one of them in a later version, and this particular attribute is as simple as they come, so you don't have to worry that it is buggy.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • How to use mesh to 3D image optimization

    Hello world

    I'm trying to draw a 2d object in a 3D picture control.

The 2d object is a type of polar trace data, contour is variable depending on the data set. I want to display in the control of the 3D image, always in 2D. In my view, that the mesh is the solution. But I can't draw anything in the control of the 3D image. Can anyone produce a small example to show how to draw a polygon mesh into a 3D picture control, where I assume that the points on the polygon can be any number.

I am very new to 3D in Labview picture controls, never needed before. But I managed to produce a nice 3D environment in the control of the 3D image, just stuck on that one aspect.

Any help is always welcomed and thanks for your time to support this amazing forum!

  • Read the current range of field

It is easy enough to read the default Beach plot Y for any trace of a stacked graph, but this property does not appear to follow the currently applied range (EX: zoom manually or entered manually in the axis during execution).  What property stores the current scale settings can (Autoscale, min, max, etc.)?

    Thank you

If you have stacked locations, you must write to the Active Scale Y read property information of the scale for this specific plot.

    Hi Greg,.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do in tiara at the moment. I presented a report of Corrective Action to resolve this (#323394), and I hope that this feature will be included in a future version of DIAdem. Thank you for that bring to our attention.

  • How to change polar plots

I would like to change/control as many features on a polar ground as possible. I am aware of the function of property node, but those who seem to be limited to what can be changed. I would like to have control over the thickness of the traced line, solid color of extra under data and text size. I've seen these changed things before, but I can't understand me. Anyone had this same problem?

    Thank you!

    robin533,

Looks like with as much customization as you want, you will need to dig deep into the code. I would suggest trying to get into the low level of Polar VI code trace and see if you can change what it is that you are looking for. You can access some controls of pen and color in this way options.

    See you soon!

  • Polar coordinates plot

    Hello

I was wondering if it was possible to show the actual values of coordinate for each point on the image of the polar plot?

I currently have to view each set in a table on the side of the image, but it would be much better if I could get the values next to each point.

    See you soon,.

    Darren.

    Hello

I solved this problem by using the "Draw text at the point" vi and trig simple to calculate the coordinates of the origin of entry.

I think the ability to do it automatically would be a very good addition to the next version of LV

    Thanks for your reply.

    Darren.

  • How to interpolate the measures of impedance in a polar plot

    Hello

I do measures of impedance and then draw in a polar route (see annex VI). Due to a strong resonance, it is difficult to get a high resolution there.

-Is it possible to do an interpolation between the points?

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards

    Michael

Take a look at the attachment.  I created a table to resample the data based on the data itself and then resampling (constant to variable) used to generate the interpolated data.  In this way the resonance is interpolated with more resolution than the other places.  This is what you want?

There is a constant on the block diagram which controls how much more resonance is interpolated.

  • trace in polar coordinates

In my program, I managed to get the RADIUS and the degree (r and theta), how can I trace or draw a line through that point? Even if I convert it to cartessian ready, I can't use the FitLine IMAQ. VI because they need more of a point. Any body has a dea on how to do?

Well, you need to define a second point, because there are infinite lines that can pass through a single point.  Looks like you know what is the second point, even if you don't realize it.  Should she go through (0,0), or it should be horizontal, tangents, vertical etc.,?  This response should give you a method to get a second point.

  • How to display waveform data in a Trace of squirm and Wiggle Plot?

Anyone has any advice on how to do it (easily)? Basically, all the foregoing (right) of the axis is filled with color axis.

    Hey Aaron,

I found a work around to get there, even if it's not exactly an ideal solution. Basically, for each parcel you can create a second parcel, containing just the positive component of the data and use the fill parameters in the chart of waveform for filling of the zero point to this parcel. Here is the result for a simple sinusoidal signal:

And in part VI of the code, that I used to divide the positive component of the wave (there may be an easier way to do it):

I hope this helps - so far, it's the only way I found to accomplish what you are wanting. If I find anything else, I'll reply to this message.

    Thank you

    Hello

The code downloaded Barros is the example provided with LabVIEW with the Subvi "Plot polar data" replaced by another which trace points instead of lines. As the article points out the example provided with LabVIEW shows how you can replace the Subvi used in the example to draw the points instead of lines. The entrance to the 'pen' to the Point 'draw' VI indicates the thickness of the points. You can wear this "Feather" entry to a Panel control before or hard wire it to a value.
