• How we prevent USB plug-and-play for a specific device

  I have a plotter-cutter which is controlled directly by the software, not a pilot. It is USB connected. It works fine until Windows 7 Decides to install a driver and it then blocks the access of the program for the device.

  Windows then refuses to completely delete the driver information and then uninstall the driver and the software for the device is not entirely clear the problem back to blank pre-installation conditions. Even through the registry (after the uninstallation and removal of device) and removing the masses of references to registry keys that remain don't empty the system.

  I have installed the system on about five computers now and I miss.

  What I need to be able to do, is stop Windows from take control of that specific device without disabling USB or mess up the other USB device mode

  "Cisco Small Business 300 Series managed switches Administration Guide" and the sheet indicate that this switch can make requests of accounting with a Radius server. On the switch interface/CLI SF300, there is that the authentication port, the port of account cannot be resolved (and nothing is sent by the switch to the default port). I guess that the SF300-08 doesn't manage accounting. Maybe I need to change to another model. Could you give me another model in the same price range?

  The driver for any optical drive is provided by Windows, then you should just connect the new device, but it can sometimes avoid problems by doing this as follows.

  Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.  Expand the DVD/CD = ROM readers, made existing right click the device and choose uninstall.

  Once completed, stop the laptop and made the new optical drive.

  When you start Windows, then, give it a few minutes to load completely and you should find the new drive is running.

• Windows 7 does not recognize my Dell 2407WFP monitor - only as monitor not Plug-and-Play credits.

  This monitor is able to execute the resolution 1920 x 1200 and it worked well on the same laptop Dell Latitude D820 under XP Pro SP3. However, Windows 7 does not recognize the Dell Monitor (shows as non-Plug-and-Play monitor credits) and will go no higher than 1600 x 1200. The monitor on the laptop will run in 1920 x 1200 and also 1920 x 1200 poster XP running inside a virtual machine, so the problem is with Windows 7 not properly recognizing the Dell 2407WFP monitor in VGA mode. All other operating systems work very well to support the material properly.

  The laptop is running a NVidia Quadro NVS 120 M map. I tried several versions of Vista Dell drivers (do not have for Windows 7 - therefore Dell is not to follow). NVidia has no drivers for this card because it specially designed for Dell and all pilots must come from Dell (new Dell doesn't help here - I know that Windows 7 was just recently released but there are important suppliers for some time. Thought Dell was big by taking charge Microsoft with their business line of products but I think that even they cannot follow.

  It seems that the problem is also Windows 7 is not correctly identify the Dell monitor and many other monitors as well. Unfortunately, I doubt that this issue will never be resolved by Microsoft. I have yet to see that all the issues MS resolved long. I begin to see the truth in the last pub in Apple vs MS on television. Well the time to upgrade the new hardware.

  As I know it is not necessary to install a driver for external USB mouse and mouse is usually recognized automatically. Please check if a driver installation is needed, and even request delivered must be preinstalled.
