Plugin page keeps being open when Firefox starts
I installed a Firefox plugin and the associated plugin page continues to open in a new tab, whenever I start Firefox. How can I stop this from happening?
This also happens if I go to the window modules and disable/re-enable the plugin, a new tab opens with the page of the plugin.
The latest version of the HelloSign plugin has no more of this problem.

Hello, I have the boot option: "show my windows and tabs from last time" activated. Works fine, except when Firefox starts when I click on a link in an external application (typically Thunderbird). Then, the new link is opened in a new tab, Firefox remembers the number of tabs I had open when I finally closed it, but all of the 'old' tabs are empty. Somehow fix this behavior?
Deactivation of the modules does not help. By clicking on a link in an external application when Firefox is already open works OK. I use Firefox for some time short (probably half a year) and this problem was still there (not that is not due to a new update).
Thank you.
If Firefox is closed, and an external link opens Firefox, you must go to history > recently closed tabs and open tabs before closing Firefox. If you don't 'last session' will be gone and only one page than the open external program will be the new "previous session."
If this is not satisfactory, you will need to install an extension of type "session manager" as well as "the last sitting" remember only.

Old tabs open when I start firefox
Hello
When I run Firefox, it opens all my tabs I had open until I closed my last session. I went through one of the help pages already telling me to go to the options-general tab-"When Firefox starts" and changed to 'home page', but I still have the same problem.Thank you!
You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

As soon as I opened the Firefox Start Page, all my favorites have been posted on the left side. I accidentally hit something, and now all my favorites have disappeared.
For your safety, you must do a lot of software updates. You may be holding back for some reason any. Let us know what it is because there may be a fix or workaround now.
To update to the 19 of Firefox, you can use the "Check for updates" button here:
Menu help > about Firefox
To update your Adobe PDF and Shockwave Flash plugins and check for other obsolete plugins, you can use this page:
https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/pluginCheck/
I know it's tedious, but don't let slip too long or you might get up to have to rebuild everything (the curse of your lack of backups, and if you do regular backups).

Something I have observed since at least for now it is as if I have more than one pinned tab, and I close Firefox and start it again (it's designed to open my default home page), my "targeted" default tab is the tab to the right. If I have a pinned tab, the homepage is door as it should.
I tried from Firefox with a - safe-mode and got the same result, from a new profile however did not seem to see the problem, so my problem is limited to this profile (but at the same time, has nothing to do with my extensions).
I remember not to make any changes to the browser by myself (I'm careful about this, so I'm sure that on this topic). Whatever the problem is, it has crept in also.
I tried to reset slightly changed to the topic: entries in config I have, but have had no solution and it's a minor annoyance, but it leads me into the wall because if I have a home page, I expect to be open when I start the browser!
Problem seems to have been set on update to Firefox 16 beta 2.

Even thought is selected the option ' when Firefox starts to show my windows and tabs from last time "I always have the default page of Firefox.
Hi Goldie_,
I guess you don't watch this page when you closed Firefox last time. Also that you are not in private, correct navigation mode? Looks like it is maybe a problem with Firefox being able to save your file pref.js. You should try the steps listed in the preferences section that won't save trouble. Try and let me know how it goes.
Hope this helps!

How to stop a program to open when I start my computer?
How to stop a program to open when I start my computer?
I would check the following:
- The program has an option to stop from?
- Otherwise use Windows Defender to disable: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Stop-a-program-from-running-automatically-when-Windows-starts . If you cannot use Windows Defender because your antivirus turns off, you have to use the Configuration utility system; See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-System-Configuration and http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Using-System-Configuration
- Some products start themselves in other ways. Http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902 Autoruns lists most of these places. This tool is designed for advanced users. Incorrect use can result in an unusable system. See: http://forum.sysinternals.com/what-to-uncheck-and-what-not_topic5226.html

How can I prevent the "Mozilla Firefox Start Page" tab to appear when you start Firefox?
I got my start page wanted to establish OK.
I just don't want this extra tab showing when FF starts.Firefox version 34.0.5
Windows 7, 64-bitMake sure that you only have one tab open when you set your homepage.
Use current Pages allows you to have multiple home pages.
See - How to set the home page -
This problem began only after I've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox.
Hi Doug,.
Sorry about that. It might be this time your home page and the Firefox start page are defined as your home page.
Here's how to reset your home page:
- Open your home page and close other tabs
- Click on the
menu button and click on Preferences
- In the Preferences window, click on general
- Click the use current Pages button
I hope this will fix things. Let us know if it works!
Best,
Jayelbe
