    Its broke

The bios cannot locate the drive. The on-board diagnostics can find and test without problem. It passes all the tests. Help!

I'm done with the same problem after having accidentally reset the Bios of my meeting place 8 Pro 3845 it is "optimized" parameters by default and after a bunch of hours of frustration, I tried a mixture of solutions different people had posted. Because I wanted a clean install anyway, I didn't have the data on the disk.

Long story short, the venue Pro 3845 8 will not start via microSD, insert the microSD card into a card reader USB and that attaching an OTG cable has worked to get the boot made in this sense. I have used Rufus to create this bootable microSD/USB key, based on a Windows 10 iso home x 86 which I had downloaded through Microsofts MediaCreationTool. The next challenge was the support of the mouse/touchscreen missing when installing Windows. I'm managed by addition of AutoUnattended.xml, the first round with some standard settings disc missed a great time (i.e. Setup was not able to copy the files because he had problems to access the internal disk (MEM).

I came across a tabletpcreview.com topic that contains the details of the right disk in the provided AutoUnattended.xml, where I caught the "DiskConfiguration" and "ImageInstall" section for my Windows 10 compatible file.

Now I just got through my fixing registry problems so that I have all my .exe programs can open without a problem. All other issues are resolved except this! What's wrong?! Please, someone help. also run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

2.) method 2: check the show disabled devices and still no device appears.  He says still no audio device installed under the recording tab.

  • "The operating system not found" message after the display of the Dell Logo

My HDU failed (Inspiron 5100 using XP Home).  I installed a new HDU, you use Win XP Home oem disk (object of Dell original lost).  Use the drive as a partition.

Now to start a 'Operating System Not Found' message appears after the Dell Logo is displayed.

Pressing on Ctrl/alt/del removes the message, and the Dell Logo displays of new laptop starts perfectly in XP Home...

I guess that's because I couldn't set up the small partition normally present (assume it has diagnostic data, etc.).

No way to delete the message?  (?? The BIOS setting?)

  • Portege M800 - WLan not found after installing Win XP

I recently "downgraded" my M800 ppM80A - 03H 009 to XP, everything worked fine except the wireless no longer works. "."
I installed the PROset utility it gives the message "State of adapter not found in the registry.
The Device Manager gives the yellow exclamation and error (Code 10).

I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers from the Toshiba site.
I ran System Mechanic to check the registry problems.

    Hello

I searched the internet for similar cases and it seems that this happens to more people using Win XP. It s is not serious what laptop you have looks like Win XP question with respect to certain wireless network cards
However, I ve had Win XP and Intel WLan card and never had such problems.

    Here's my recommendation;
-Go to the Device Manager and remove the WLan card in device list (press DELETE)
-Download CCLeaner (free tool) and clean the registry
-Visit Toshiba WLan portal and download the latest version of the driver for the wireless network card: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
-Restart the device and then install the driver Wlan card.

    Good luck

  • Primary hard drive 0 not found Dell Latitude

    Hello

I just bought 2 notebooks of Dell Latitude D800 with no operating system. The first laptop is fine, but the second, when I turn it on it shows the Dell screen with the loading bar. The loading bar is to halfway to the end when it freezes. The system freezes on this screen for about a minute, then it beeps twice and a black screen that says:

"First hard drive 0 not found '.

No bootable devices - don't strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for Setup utility.

So I go into the BIOS and see under "internal hard drive" and he says: 'no '. I checked and make sure the hard disk has been activated, and it is.

I took the hard drive and reinstalled it. Nothing. The drive is a Toshiba 40 GB. In addition, mention, the reader makes a weird noise (not the click of death) and the hard drive on the laptop stays on all the time.

Other D800 I mentioned boots very quickly and displays a no. OS screen, which is very good.

    So is my dead HDD?

    Thank you

It is quite clear that the BIOS does not recognize the hard drive.  I suspect that the IDE controller on the motherboard has failed.

Given that you have two cell phones similar to fool around with, probably the fastest way to isolate the problem is to swap hard drives.  Call the laptop that does not have one and one that works B

If the laptop has now boots and cell B now is not, you know that the player who has been to A is bad.

If A laptop computer still does not start and portable B boots again, then you know that the two disks are OK and the problem is the motherboard or the connector of the drive in the laptop.

  • Not found CD players in dimension dell 4500

I have a Dell Dimension 4500 running Windows XP Professional 32-bit.  Apparently, my CD players are not in Manager devices, desktop, Start Menu, etc.  They are both IDE CD-drives and are not available for download from the Dell Web site.  One of the discs is made by Micro advantage and the other made by Memoriex.

In addition, the computer seems to become glitchy sometimes not open programs and random errors when opening programs as well.  I have a Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit installation disk, but I can't use it because Windows cannot read CD disks.  Help, please.

    -cpu.central

    Hello

You can run this fixit. The fixit diagnose and fix CD or DVD drive problems, when you can not burn or play CD or DVD discs when a disc is not found, not available or not connected.

However, given that CD players are not getting detected in the boot menu then it could be a hardware problem. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer for help.

    It will be useful.

  • First hard drive 0 not found on Dell Windows XP computer

Original title: Hard Drive not found

I have a Dell Dimension 4550 Series computer using Windows XP SP3.  At startup the following message now "Primary Hard Disk Drive 0 not found".  Only the option F1 or F2 gives me or what appears to be a viable solution.  Impossible to access anything whatsoever beyond this screen.  All connections look OK.  Resolution ideas are welcome!  Thank you.

    Hi MartinL960,

Remember to make changes before this problem?

It is a hardware problem with Dell, through my research I found that users encounter similar problem solved the problem by making changes to hard disk parameters in the BIOS.

Important: Change BIOS (Basic input output system) /semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Since the resolution requires the modification of the BIOS that is risky, I recommend you contact dell for more specialist on this question help
