  I'm done with the same problem after having accidentally reset the Bios of my meeting place 8 Pro 3845 it is "optimized" parameters by default and after a bunch of hours of frustration, I tried a mixture of solutions different people had posted. Now I just got through my fixing registry problems so that I have all my .exe programs can open without a problem. All other issues are resolved except this! What's wrong?! Please, someone help. (I can get Internet explore any other way, but it's not my PC and I don't want the owner to think I broke it) PS Can't do system restore I would lose my updates which are very necessary can't do a registry fix because I already did and I don't want to mess with it again is not sure if reinstall dell dock should solve the problem I just install IE9 and all my other icons in dell dock work very well

  My HDU failed (Inspiron 5100 using XP Home).  I installed a new HDU, you use Win XP Home oem disk (object of Dell original lost).  Use the drive as a partition.

  Now to start a 'Operating System Not Found' message appears after the Dell Logo is displayed.

  Pressing on Ctrl/alt/del removes the message, and the Dell Logo displays of new laptop starts perfectly in XP Home...

  I guess that's because I couldn't set up the small partition normally present (assume it has diagnostic data, etc.).

  No way to delete the message?  (?? The BIOS setting?)

  I searched the internet for similar cases and it seems that this happens to more people using Win XP. It s is not serious what laptop you have looks like Win XP question with respect to certain wireless network cards
  However, I ve had Win XP and Intel WLan card and never had such problems.

  Here's my recommendation;
  -Go to the Device Manager and remove the WLan card in device list (press DELETE)
  -Download CCLeaner (free tool) and clean the registry
  -Visit Toshiba WLan portal and download the latest version of the driver for the wireless network card: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
  -Restart the device and then install the driver Wlan card.
