  Did you meet a very old thread... but... I know that with some machines, you can actually disable some ports USB in the BIOS. Take a look here and see if there's anything out there.

  I have a communication problem with Labview with GPIB instruments (with functions of visa).

  I get:

  "Error 1073807298 occurred at the VISA opening

  Possible reasons:

  "VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF003E) failed to perform operation due to i/o error."

  However, it works with an interactive control visa and this is where I am confused!

  Here is my setup:

  -Labview 2011 assessment

  -VISA 5.1.2

  KUSB - 488B with the associated drivers (adapter USB to GPIB of Keithley)

  Because I can speak with my instruments in visaic, I guess the installation of drivers for the Keithley interface is ok.

  Trace IO NOR I see beeing of commands passed through Labview to VISA so that they "see" between them.

  I found a thread where someone had the same problem and its solution was downgrade to Labview 8.5.1, which is not possible for me.

  Here's a follow-up on this issue.

  I tried with Labview 32-bit on main machine: it works.

  The pleasure is that I have to use Labview 64-bit.

  So the ultimate solution is now to run a client and a server of visa on the machine: Labview 32 bit can directly access my resources GPIB, Labview 64-bit must go through the closure of the network.

  I have a laptop Vaio Sony of SV1513KCXS and for some reason my USB 3.0 on the left side only works with devices let. Now, it is not broken... but my hard drive for example does that from time to time. My USB 2.0 all work effortlessly with the Toshiba 500 GB USB 3.0 Hard Drive. This is the weird part... If using a USB extention or a USB hub, it works every time. What is the cause? Also when I got the laptop HD 4 months she would transfer around 85-90 MB per second, but now it's a constant 36-38 mb a second not more not less. This could be the cause? Thank you.

  First find/click Device manager

  Disc players

  Find the hard drive, that is my toshiba 500 GB HD and right click for the properties option.

  Tab 'political '.

  Check the "best performance."

  BOOM! Back to super high speed!

• Card USB Reader works only with Windows 7 Final

  My internal card reader is not recognized by Windows 7.  I have uninstalled and installed the drivers of many times without effect.  When I installed the drivers from the website of manufacturers or automatically by Windows, it is not recognized.  After installing it manually through the Device Manager, it is now recognized, but returns the error: this device cannot start. (Code 10).  This device worked perfectly with Vista, Win 7 Beta and Win 7 RC.  The USB port on the card reader works, but not the card reader itself.  Can I use an external card reader and read the card.  The driver is: 6.1.7100.30093 by Realtek.

  I solved the problem.  I have checked the connections to the motherboard and swapped USB1 and USB2 connections.  When I reconnected it everything the computer would not start.  I disconnected the connections usb case before and tried and it worked.  It seems that one of the two connections business is bad and the card reader to stop working at the origin.

• Wireless USB mouse works only with Windows 7

  When I plug the usb antenna, it recognizes and installs successfully the mouse.  I then sync the two but the mouse does not work.  In the device, the mouse Manager is listed under "Human Interface Devices" as an "input USB device..."  I deleted and reinstalled, rebooted my computer and several other things but still cannot make it work...

  I guess that your USB ports are in need of a better driver. It is probably in your drivers "chipset".

  I use a 1394b (grey Grasshopper Point 14S5M-C) camera connected to a 1394 bus controller. In MAX, the camera works fine, but it will not work with all files of 1394-example LabView. These allways throw the error "NOR-IMAQ IEEE-1394: (Hex 0xBFF6800F) attribute not supported by the camera" even if some of these example like "grab.vi" files no attributes are defined at all. On the same computer, another device (Point Grey Scorpion 20SOM, 1394 (a) works without any problem.

  Thanks for this tip, this is the reason. I was unintentionally using the IMAQ instead of example IMAQdx files. With IMAQdx it works now.

• Program works very well in LabVIEW 32-bit but not 64-bit

  I have a very complex program that works very well with LabView 2014 32 bit on a 64 bit Windows 7 computer. I installed LabView 2014 64-bit to be able to use more RAM and now the same program pose problems at one of the Sub screws. specifically, the sub - VI has a "invoke VI' and have problems since LV is not able to find the VI to call. How is it can be found in 32-bit but not 64-bit?

  What happens when you open the VI normally? It seems that you use DAQmx. Is the 64 - but version installed.

  I have a big problem with my external hard drive and I hope someone can help me.

  Here's the thing:

  I used my external drive only on computers that don't have any port usb 3 and all worked well. The drive has been used only with usb ports 2.

  Now, I got a computer with a usb port 3 and I was happy to be able to use my external hard drive at full speed.
  Has been fine until I wanted to transfer a file using my drive.

  The disc has been recognized either of usb ports 2. The NTFS partition is a partition BRUTE! I had to ' chkdisk/f G:' to make it work again on my usb ports 2. And some files were missing!

  Then, back on my other computer (usb port 3), the contents were not the same! I mean some of the files that I deleted when it is plugged into usb 2 returned when plugged usb ion 3! And then, back to the usb 2, partition became RAW and I had ' chkdisk/f G:'... once again!

  So, to make it as simple as possible, after some testing, it seems that the drive can only be used on the usb ports 2-only on ports usb 3 but can not be used at a time, which is very annoying for a portable external hard drive.

  I tried to format the drive to my usb port 2 and return on the usb port 3, the content came as if I had never formatted it and then back on the usb port 2, the RAW score again...

  I use Windows 7 and 8.1 Windows computers.

  Someone at - it experience that? What is the drive (Toshiba Store Art 1 TB USB3 4)? What is the USB 3 specification? Is - Windows 7 or 8.1 drivers?
  And above all: what can I do?

  This external plug & play Toshiba HDD supports two USB standards: USB 3.0 and USB 2.0
  HARD drive around needs bus power 900mA to work correctly.

  The USB 3.0 port supports this standard 900mA. The USB 2.0 port allows only to 500mA.
  If in case the HARD disk is not working properly connected to the USB 2.0 port, I recommend you to use a USB cable to Y in order to connect the 2 ports USB 2.0 HARD disk.

  I have no idea why the content on the HARD drive is different, but from my point of few of the USB standard does not affect content.

  In my opinion, the HARD drive wasn't working properly using a USB 2.0 due to the low power.

  By the way: this HARD drive supports some additional features like the ability to oversight function and monitor to alert of the disk space that sends a alert when there is not enough available storage space.

  For advanced users, Toshiba has added the ability to customize the backup routine, including the ability to select only the most common file types for backup and change how many times a backup takes place.
