  Hi, I write novels using normal pages that was shipped with my imac and upload to Amazon KDP using epub. I just found out that my readers are unable to change the font size on their e-reader when I do that. I box unchecked the 'Embed police' in the drop down menu when the file is exported to epub and resubmitted, but appears not to have worked. Anyone had this experience? What is the solution?   Unless the site you develop is for the Asian market, I don't know why you want to use that particular font. The Basic, standard and digital alphabet punctuation glyphs has sans serif, Roman characters, but the rest is thousands of Kanji characters. While you can use the font .ttf and .otf and web fonts, it would be very unusual to use one so great. Pages should load quickly and 78 MB, with a value of faces to download for those who have connections slow Internet is not fast.

  Check the date of creation on the police (I found one online that says 1998).

  Some very old fonts work well with the latest software. I have this problem with an older version of Optima since the 1990s.

  Do you have (or have access to) a program that allows to convert type to outlines (such as Adobe Illustrator, for example). I do not use Pages, so I don't know if Pages can do or not.

  If you need the cast for only short excerpts of text, it may be possible to create, convert to text outline, and then import them into Pages in the form of a graph for each instance. It is not as convenient, but it might work.

  Another thing to try out of curiosity is the following. Create the document. Instead of printing directly, make a PDF file on it. (Can you export a file of PDF Pages?) Then try to print the PDF file in preview or Adobe Acrobat. See if it works.

  This probably isn't the answer you wanted, but maybe it can help a viable solution.

  You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

  You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.
