• Impossible to apply the swf police embedded in the text in text layout

  We have created a SWF for a police given (e.g., Calibri.swf) that contains all the styles (Regular, Italic, Bold, BoldItalic).

  We have created an xml that lists the name of the font and the path of the swf file. The names of xml is loaded into a drop-down list box in the application.

  When we try to apply the font selected in a text under text layout, it does the same. It sets the font to the font "Times" by default.

  Here is a snippet of code to apply the font for the text:

  Did you put the fontLookup in ITextLayoutFormat? It must be set to search for the police as an embedded policy. I think that, by default, it will consider it as a device font.

  I hope I'm just blind and there is an easy solution for this.

  You are using in the restrictions associated with the loading of content from the local file system.  While Flash has mechanisms allow to trust local files, never to tighten security in the major browsers is making these ineffective approaches.  It's more headache than it's worth.

  If you are developing a Web site, you are much better running a local Web server and preview the content from there.  There are a lot of popular web development stacks like WAMP and XAMP making it is really easy.  Mac has a built-in local Web server.

• Some policies appear in the PDF files after "Print" to PDF, but not after "save under" PDF

  FM9, Kozuka fonts and one of my custom symbols fonts show in a file PDF produced with "Print" and a PDF printer, but not when I do "save in" and select "Save as:" PDF. Kozuka characters out as boxes, and custom symbols are absent; Although if I highlight the place to be in the PDF, the font name shows. I use Acrobat 7 Pro.

  I tried to change the Asian fonts in the police combined with the "Pr6N" Kozuka provided with FM9 versions, but that did not work.

  I also tried to copy the fonts to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker9\fminit\fonts\adobe" and various other places, and of course, they are in the folder Fonts of Windows, nothing helps. My other custom symbols fonts work very well, and they are only in the Fonts to Windows folder.

  These fonts worked well in FM8. Any ideas?

  Hello Tami,

  try saving the PDF file once again, but this time - in the dialog box options PDF - select the check box 'convert CMYK to RGB colours. Fonts now appear correctly? If so, it's just another bug of the famous engine FM CMYK. When you convert the colors to RGB, you get the same result as when printing to PDF.

  I created a button runs swf. I have integrated a link and when I test the movie in Flash, it works very well. As soon as I publish it, the flash works fine, but when I try to click on it, I get an error of an adobe security warning message:

  How can I actually "convert" my files of 100 pages, produced magazines in InDesign (300 dpi, CMYK, prepress ready images) to PDF size reasonable to publish on the web.   You can start the press or high-quality Print PDF you make when you run the optimizer, as both will be incorporated, fonts and images high resolution. You don't want to have courses for your magazine of font substitution.

  If you have converted the images to CMYK before placing them, it matter which two presets you used for the base file, but if it's RGB, high quality print Prest will abandon them this way, which will also result in a smaller file. You can also convert the CMYK to RGB in Acrobat, if necessary. Do this before you re - sample.

  I'm 9.3.1 on an iPad IOS 4 and iPhone 6; OS x 10.11.4 on a Macbook of retina of 2015. Can I synchronize EPUB books between devices in iBooks via iCloud, but notes are not synchronized (from the iPad with other devices). I use an Apple for the App Store ID and iBooks Store and another for iCloud. My questions are the following:

• Display of Arial embedded police loose on the machine of another user

  I have a PDF document that uses an embedded Arial font and it looks good on my machine, but looks like this on one of my end user machines:

• Need help with italics for the ePub and InDesign CS5

  Can anyone one help out me. I can't find the answer to this and I know it must be simple, I just lack.

  I create an ePub from InDesign CS5. All I want to do is have the italics that are displayed in the text box in InDesign, see the in the epub file.

  I prefer not to say what I did (I think I've tried everything, but obviously I got them all wrong, so no point listing them) and I hope that someone can make a simple guide, step by step how to make italics appear in the ePub file.

  Is the EPUB THAT DRM protected or free? If there is a question mark next to the file, maybe that means that there is not an application installed that can open the epub DRM or non - DRM?   I use Total Commander as my file manager, as it is excellent for file management. I use the free version of FBReader app to read EPub DRM files free & software Calibre & plug-ins on my desktop to manage my EPub books.

  When I export my file InD to an epub, all paragraphs are crushed together, without spaces between.  I tried to add styles to paragraph with 'space before' and 'after' but nothing works.  Adding extra line breaks or returns does not help, either.  There is no spacing between paragraphs in the epub file.

  Space before and after should work. Can you tell us what version of Indesign are you use and your operating system. If you can share a sample showing the problem we can take a loot at home. You can use Dropbox or similar and post the link here.
