  I am having some problems with the SDK to BBM and send a file to a contact. It works perfectly fine on the Simulator, but on a real device the Contact selector always appears under VACUUM (despite the fact that there are contacts in BBM users contact list).

  I figured it out and got, it works.

  Still have a problem:

  When a 1 Simulator adds simulator 2 via their PIN 2100000b (by default), Simulator 2 get the of EOFException and did not receive the request to add. It is still pending in the Simulator 1.

• Smartphone blackBerry OS 6 - cannot send photo to BBM contact

  After upgrading to OS 6, if I si je selectionne selects send - Messenger Contact photo is delivered in the compartment of bits, but not for the contact selected BBM. Conversely if I select send a picture in a BBM conversation he will send successfully. Recipients are on a Curve 8900 with OS 5.

  I have two contacts with the same name (e.g. Bob).  To make it easier to tell apart them, I've renamed one to be Robert. In Blend when I try to compose a new message and type R O B no name not developed.  I have to type B O B and then they both come. It seems to search based on the original name.  On the device, it works as expected, research based on display names as I put them.

  Not a huge problem, I wanted to just report the bug somewhere.

  When you are in the list of BBM contacts, further down from the top, you can see "Settings" in the upper right. Touch it and then scroll down to "Contact Layout".

I had to implement an invitation for those who do not have the application installed using blackberry.bbm.platform.users.inviteToDownload, I so was able to access the profiles of users through the pickUser() function.

  I have the BlackBerry Curve 9360 with BBM 6.x version.

  A few months ago, I upgraded in BBM v7, which cause the BBM app runs slowly.

  Then I tried to restore to previous version by myself (cloth, etc.), but still I did not downgrade from my BBM version.

  I therefore decided to go to the service center and ask them to reset my phone in the State brand new.

  For the moment, I was sure after I reconnect using the same Id BB BBM contacts will be restored automatically.

  But after that I got my phone from the service center (BBM v6.2) and then tried to login using the same Id of BB, I found that the BBM contacts are all gone.

  Unfortunately, I have no any external backup for BBM contacts.

  I am a newbie in this stuff and need some information about several things:

  (1) does the v6.2 BBM version causing the contacts passed (is not) while using the same Id BB?

  (2) if so, if I upgrade to v7 and re-login using the same Id BB, will be my BBM contacts restored?

  (3) is it possible to use the v6.2 release and get restored BBM contacts?

  After having had a problem with performance in the previous update, I think the upgrade to v7 or above will be my last option.

  In any case, after searching in my PC, I found an old BB backup data using BB Desktop Software (*.bbb), and after I restored it on my camera, I found "BBM-(yy-mm-dd-hh-mm).bak" files in my BB device.

  so I tried to restore my BBM contacts since the last file using surveys BBM-> Options-> system restore, and I managed to restore about 80-90% (because it is an old backup) my BBM contacts and I agree with it.

  So, private affair and just a tip to all of you who read this post,.

  Please download BB Destop software from the official website of BB and backup ALL your data on your PC now, even if it is not any problem with our unit right now,

  because we do not know what will happen to our device in 2,3 or 4 weeks/months in the future...

  If you have restored a backup of your phone, it have restored to backup your BBM contacts. As part of the restore lists the process it would update your contacts with your new PIN.

  If you have BBM v7 or newer contacts BBM are saved with your BlackBerry ID and you need only memory in BBM with your new device. If you have a v6 or older then they would be stored in your backup with Desktop software.

  Sharing the same e-mail address is no problem... e-mail systems is generally accessed from multiple customers, and the application of enamel on the BB is just another type of e-mail client.

  But, if you meant that you share the same BBID on both devices, then it indeed is probably the cause of the problem. It is inadvisable to associate a BBID to more than a SmartPhone BB. Strange things can happen, including the tangle of BBM contacts, as has happened to you.

  Since BBM7, BBM contacts are not stored on the device itself... on the contrary, they are stored "in the cloud" with the BBID. Before BBM7 (indeed, "a couple of years"), the BBM contacts were stored on the device itself and therefore would not mingle if a BBID has been shared between several BB devices.

  Here's what you need to do:

  1. Decide which of the two devices will retain the existing BBID
  2. Manually clean the BBM contacts to reflect only what desires this device
  3. On the other BB, you need to prepare by making a full backup of the device, because the "fix" will wipe
     • See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions to complete backup
  4. Once you have this backup, you should separate this another BB the BBID existing and create a new brand for the single device

  5. Once this is done, you can switch to manually re-create all BBM contacts on the 2nd device (no, there is no way to automate this process for you)
