Pomp A60-106: how to print wireless using HP Photosmart C4380

Good afternoon

I confess that I am no expert PC but have spent 4 hours this afternoon trying to follow all the help and support options to turn on my laptop to print wireless using my new HP Photosmart C4380.

Wireless network adapter appears under control panel, but I can't get the light to come on the front by FN and F8, of the any or others 101 things I tried thorugh etc. Device Manager - I'm sure that there is an easy way, but I can't find it and lose the heart! Can someone offer me some ideas?

If so please have them step by step so I can make sure I don't miss anything.

Thank you in anticipation of your ideas...

Rachel

Hello

I'm sorry if this seems a silly question but first:

Are you REALLY sure have a wireless card installed?

And the second question:

Do you have already turned the switch on "ON"?

Because otherwise, the light will NEVER go up.

Please give feedback if you tried to change the pit wireless switch 'ON '.

Greetings

  • Canon MP620 "forget" how to print wireless until I have reinstall completely

I had my Canon MP620 for about five years. I use it to print wireless from my laptop. It worked fine all the time that I got it. Recently, I tried to print from my laptop and I got a message that the printer is offline and cannot connect (Yes, the printer was on). I tried all sorts of things and the only way to print by plugging in the printer to the laptop via USB. I kept trying to print wireless and finally the only thing that worked was completely uninstall the printer drivers, reset the network settings on the printer and the definition of completely back up everything again from scratch.

Yes, problem solved. However, two days (and a few prints) later, I had the same problem. Would not print print wireless, while it is plugged. And once again, after all sorts of fiddling, the only solution that worked was AM I described the first time. Well, it works again. But a few days later, the same problem! It was this morning. However, this time still connect the printer via the USB port did not work! Once again I have had to reinstall and reconfigure everything from scratch. Now it works again (for now...)

Then, as the title suggests, I think that my printer is 'forget' printing wireless after a few days of regular use. Any suggestions on fixing this? Or do I just get a new printer? Thank you.

    Hi MattL2,

Your PIXMA MP620 shouldn't forget its wireless settings.  It is recommended that you contact the direct technical assistance. There is NO charge for this call. Information in real-time to a technical assistance call live would be very beneficial in this case.

Please call 1-866-261-9362, Monday - Friday 10:00-10: 00 ET (excluding holidays). A Canon technical support representative will be able to solve this problem more quickly.

  • How to print wireless in a network home

I use a two year Vista old and hard desktop PC connected to a wireless cable router.  My wife has a new laptop running Windows 7 using a wireless connection to the router cable.  Our range of printers HP all-in-one is connected via USB to the desktop.  My wife wants to be able to print wireless from the same printer.

I was researching the requirments to upgrade desktop for Windows 7 and test requirments.  I noticed that Windows 7 has a capacity of home network.  If I improve domestic desktop for Windows 7, we will be able to form a network or do I add hardware for the Office to connect with his laptop.  I don't know that my old pc has not built based on router what to do most recent.

    Thanks for the help.

You can form a network with Vista too. However, you must use on the computers on the network job option rather the HomeGroup.

In any case, upgrade to Windows 7 is nice and would facilitate networking.

You should be fine with your current hardware.

  • Photosmart 5514: How to print wireless photosmart 5514 without router (from iPad 3 g)

I want to print wireless air of the ipad 3g (wireless) for photosmart 5514 without router.  I don't think that the printert has a direct wireless option.  Kind of printer in order to broadcast, it's own 'signal' that my ipad can communicate via?

    Hello

The printer is not compatible HP wireless live indeed, I'm afraid, it requires a router to allow wireless connectivity.

The printer does not support ad-hoc connectivity and will not broadcast its own SSID.

    Kind regards

  • Extremely slow printing wireless with HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m

I see extremely slow print speeds when printing from a Mac or a Windows XP system on a new printer HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m wireless. The printer starts printing immediately when I request a print, but it only prints one line. It will take about 15 minutes then to print the rest of the page, each print after a very long break line. Print demo page doesn't exhibit this problem, only documents of programs such as Word 2008, Safari, and Firefox (I tried firefox on PC and Mac) are affected.

If I connect to the printer via a USB connection it prints very well, so this problem seems to be the only wireless printing.

    Printer: HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m
Computer: Mac mini (late 2009 model) (also tried a Windows XP laptop, by comparison using the latest drivers from the HP website)
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.2 with all available updates installed
Method of connection: cable Ethernet connection to the router wireless
Printer drivers: version 2.2.1 (Apple provided, drivers HP never installed as system comes with 10.6)
Wireless router: Apple TimeCapsule (early 2009) 1 TB, honing a/d and modes of b/g on 2.4 and 5 GHz. TimeCapsule is in transition as the DSL modem handles DHCP service mode
Encryption: WPA2 Personal, no MAC filtering or hide the SSID.

IP addressing scheme: all addresses are distributed by the server DHCP without reservation of any kind

The TimeCapsule is sitting three inches from the printer and the printer indicates the complete signal. Connecting the printer to the wireless network and setup of the printer on the Mac went off without a hitch. Only when you print a test document discover us the problem. The wireless network will behave as expected when you access Internet from Mac and Windows devices (tested with a laptop computer Dell XP and a MacBook with OS X 10.6.2), so I don't see any problem with the wireless network together.

    Attempt to use:
1 reboot and power off, wait, restart the computer
2 reset the print subsystem, the printer off and on again and reinstall the printer

    3. disconnect the power to the printer and let it sit for several minutes before trying to print wireless.

    None of them worked.

I don't know exactly what is happening... I'll have to think about.

Looks like you're running with the current configuration.

    Can we call this resolved?

  • P1102w printer: have new router and can not figure out how to print wireless at P1102w printer - he sees old router

I installed a new router (Netgear R6220) and cannot figure out how to get the P1102w printer to recognize the new router. It shows the former name of the router (Belkin.833) on the test page and displays the IP address configured by AutoIP rather than DHCP as the old router does. The computer is a desktop Dell Dimenstion about 3 years and use Windows 7. The router connects to the computer to the Internet.

Help - How to make the printer recognize and communicate with the new router? (The original installation instructions don't seem to work for me.)

I made an update of the firmware a few months ago and the currtent datecode is 20130703. Allowed to print from my Samsung S2 Tablet through the router.

    Here's what finally worked.

1 had to withdraw from old installation CD but Uninstall selected, so I completely shut down the computer. Guy at Best Buy said to "remove the device" but it was not enough.

    2. download install the latest software from the HP download site and ran it. (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL32431/bi-80329-11/hp_LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution-v20120831-50157036_SMO.exe)

3 downloaded another file and ran it. (Setup_IP4, [192_168_1_5], [NPI073E2D] _it) Not sure where I found this one, but the software prompted me to run.

Finally, everything works and all devices are wireless printing

  • Using my printer wireless uses one of my monthly GBs?

My wireless printer is hooked up to my router so that means when I'm scanning (IE just work offline) I'm using one of my monthly data?

Wireless printing does not mean that I use data because I have to send it to the HP printing Center before he goes to my printer? At least that's what I understood the instructions to mean - maybe I'm just confused!

    Hello

For all local print jobs, it does not use data, because it runs on your home network. For ePrint (using his email address), Yes, he must use data from internet and HP servers.  Under normal conditions, it also uses the data to 'talk' with HP servers to get information such as firmware etc... but should be very little.

    Kind regards.

  • Satellite A60-106: How can I remove the old CD/DVD player

    Hello
    I have a Satellite SA60-106 and want to date my DVD/RW X 1 on a 8 X DVD/RW.
How can I remove the old DVD to replace with a new one.

Please help if you can email [email protected]

    Hi, Malcolm

For this model of laptop, it is quite complicated because the STRANGE is from both sides. First you must remove the small screw placed in the Middle near the coverage of memory in the lower corner of your laptop (also near the cooling rack). The STRANGE is also secured with small hook placed under the keyboard.

At the right place of this small hook is not known but I know that it is placed somewhere under the keyboard. I don't really know what you need to do. Have you already tried to remove the keyboard?

I have to be honest and it's not so easy to give instructions here because I don't know if you're familiar with the disassembly. I don't want damage you something on your laptop. Small error can ends with a broken plastic cover. Please be careful.
