Poor access WLAN

Can I have a real problem with my WIFI adpter or is this normal?

I use my EDGE 13 for 3 months now. As soon as I have the view contact to my router to get the usable connection (maximum 6 meters). It's even more frustrating because we use a 11 EDGE for a few days now! With WLAN connection brilliant throughout our apartment (with connectivity to the neighbourhood access points).

The material in both systems, I think are the same (Intel)?

I have to live with this limitation or shell I have send my 13 EDGE at the service of LENOVO?

Becuse of toal, ignoring my question in this forum, I went to the thipnkpad first service partner, I had found on the LENOVO Web site: Sieslack Datentechnik in Hamburg, Germany!

Lucky me! Excellent service! Excellent customer relations (emails of what needs to be done and when my EDGE is ready!)

Assembly LENOVO 'forgot' to connect the antenna to the WLAN module! I now have a WLAN access! No charge for the service.

No thanks to this forum due to ignorance!
No thanks to LENOVO because of this lack of build quality!

Many thanks to:

  • SA50-122 / intel BG2200 - no found Access Point

    Hi all

I have a Satellite SA50-122 with a processor intel BG2200 access WLAN chipset. When I started the book the first time clean windows software WLAN does not detect any access point. After you have installed the latest available suite intel (Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection - 9.0.2.0) this has worked excelent!

(Note: intel sw now WLAN Management)

But now, after a few weeks, it no longer works...

I tried to do a repair installation, have uninstalled the intel SW, installed the latest version (9.0.2.1) again and again, but without success!

    :-(

Someone there simular problems and have some tips on what caused it?

    Thanks in advance,

  • Help: HAVE Chan 2 volts, 1 AO Chan Volt. UH VI Code gives access to the memory

    Hello:

First of all, I am a total newbie to Labview so apologies if the answer seems obvious, trivial. That's what I seem to be able to put together based on screws of the sample as well as reading here. Some details of the implementation

    * Application: 2 AnalogVoltage input 1 channel data acquisition channel analog output voltage of DAQ devices

    * Material: NOR-PCI-MIO-16-4 (Dev2), BNC-2110 connector

    * OS: Windows XP

    * Version: Labview 8.5

    * Wiring: Two sensors via BNC Dev2/ai0 and Dev2/ai1, BNC to TTL generator PFI0, BNC Dev2/ao0 for material Gain Control

    Intention:

1 relaxation simultaneously (dev2/ai0 and dev2/ai1) acquisition channels and voltage generation nuer a TTL signal (connected to PFI0)

    2. particularly important to be able to generate a voltage signal decaying off Dev2/ao0 which I use to order a part separated from the material.

    Approach (my VI is attached):

    1. I created the inputs/outputs analog cable channels of entry in the series. Added timingand trigger screws

2 selected PFI0 as a source of outbreak of AI. Dev2/AI/StartTrigger selected as source of relaxation for AO. Selested Dev2/AI/SampleClock synchronization AO for the synchronization application

3 used a startup sequence to ensure that GOT it start first

    4. code give the following error message:

    =================================================

Error 3 occurred in an unidentified location:

    Possible reasons:

LabVIEW: Internal error. Area of poorly accessed memory.
    =========================
NOR-488: Controller not properly treated GPIB.

    ==================================================

Indications as to what I'm doing wrong? Any help is really appreciated as I am on a deadline.

My instinct is that associates to the reading of Scripture entry output data, but do not know what.

    Thank you very much!

    See you soon,.

    uidahosa,

This knowledge base article describes your problem.  I didn't specifically see this situation in your code, but the "Okay + warnings" is connected to the [error code] I think that it was probably a misclick.  I'm curious to see what errors you get after that.

  • Satellite Pro 4200: need driver card PCMCIA Win98

    Hello!

Driver with Ms issues I´m 4200 laptop computer series with win 98. I managed to find the display driver, but the driver for pcmcia card is missing. And I can't connect to internet because im using for internet access Wlan pcmcia card.
I m writing this with my friends computer.

    Could someone help me please?

    Hello

AFAIK the PCMCIA port uses the common Windows drivers and so there is no driver PCMICA.
I recommend you to install SP all the updates for W98
In addition, you must enable the PCMCIA in the BIOS
This should help to solve this problem.

  • No audio device in Bootcamp (Windows 8.1)

    Hello

I just added a portion of bootcamp for a second hard drive in my Early 2011 Macbook Pro (8,1). I have loaded Windows on previously without a problem much but this time I can't ens at the end and any audio device whatsoever.

I can boot into windows, and after that I ran the Bootcamp support/setup.exe program that all drivers were responsible for give me access WLAN, graphics support etc but not the audio. When I hover over the "speaker" icon, I get a notification that there is no audio devices found. Enter the Device Manager or watching the drivers currently loaded there is a yellow exclamation on the 'high definition Audio... '. "but an attempt to update this option says that the driver is up-to-date.

I did it with Bootcamp 5.1.5621 who says that Apple is best for my MBP.

Someone at - it other ideas.

  • Ini file importing visa connection problems

    Hello

In the Test Import Connections.vi joint, I try to import a resource (COM3) of a configuration file name. Import the keys in an initialized global functional. The functional global is read and the output is sent to a production cluster. However, after running the code, I always end up with an empty string for the name of the resource in the cluster of production. When I run the vi within the main application, I get an error 3, (or the possible reasons: LabVIEW: internal error.) Area of poorly accessed memory. (= OR-488: GPIB controller does not correctly addressed.) (I don't have a GPIB controller in my system.)

Any ideas why it does not work?

    Thanks for your help.

With each entry, you are erase all previous data in the shift registers.  You must run 1 writing or make a check for each setting see if it is updated.

  • Router wich to choose? Help, please

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post, my apologies if this isn't.

I can connect to the intranet (no internet) with a static IP address, but I have 2 PC, doing different tasks. I was asked to use a router using NAT to redirect traffic to each PC according to the port of the request. I could do something like this with a N Router? Which one do you recommend me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi rpachecoh,

Each router has NAT built in. This is its main function connect your LAN WAN and give computers and devices in LAN Internet access / WLAN.

According to what you expect from your router, there are many to choose.

Each router Linksys E-Series is standard and will do just fine.

    Check them out.

    Kind regards

    Hello

I want to make the restriction on the bases of the SSID. I have two SSIDS on Wireless LAN controller and all authentications are happing via Active directory through ACS. ACS is integrated into Active directory.

The goal is to restrict users, I want that GROUP-A users cannot connect to the SSID-A and GROUP B, user one login on SSID-B.

Users GROUP-A could not connect to the SSID-B and GROUP-B users could not connect to the SSID-A

Is this possible in ACS to apply the restriction on the basis of SSID or any other workaround?

    Concerned,

    Sylvie

    Sylvie,

Yes, restriction of basic SSID is possible with Cisco acs, please set up the GROUP A and GROUP B with their respective as SSID (* ssid) as shown in the example configuration below.

  • Satellite M70: I can't connect to the WLan access point

I have several wireless laptops, all work fine - except my M70.
I use Intel Proset, and he sees the access point, but says "unable to connect" when I try.
The signal is high (2 meters distance).

I tried with WEP, WPA and without security. I am absolutely convinced that I entered the right keys.
The access point is a Belkin Pre - N-, but I tried with a point of access 3Com, with the same problem - my Ipaq, my other PC, and all guests can connect,- but not my Toshiba!
The wireless card is the standard Intel, with the latest driver from October 2006 intalled.

    Getting desperate...

    Hello

If you get a signal strong, so I guess that the laptop is already connected to the access point. Or am I wrong?
On my laptop, the computer WLan small icon appears only if I connected to the Wlan and then I can see the State of the signal.

However, you suggested to use the Intel Proset utility to configure the WiFi network but on the clean Windows configuration. Have you tested it?

This question seems very strange to me.
Sometimes it of not possible to connect the WiFi network because of poor compatibility between the router and wireless network card.
My router supports Wlan AB mode and my second card for computer laptop support BG.
That's why I m not able to connect to the Wlan. Maybe it s also your case.

On my router, I can also put the MAC address filtering. You should check this option on your router.
But generally it is not easy to say why it happens. You know you should check every single option and if it s not possible so I guess that it s a compatibility issue.

  • Tecra 9100 - unable to connect to the WLan access point

    Hello

I have a Tecra T9100 with miniPCI WLan. I reinstalled XP Pro and all the drivers (downloaded from the Toshiba site) and I've always had a problem with Wifi:

I can see all access point (in the windows control panel), but when I click on connect, I received a message that the access point is no more...
He didn't ask me for the security settings?

    does anyone have an idea?

    Much thanks

    Leclere

    Hello

To my knowledge the Tecra 9100 was equipped with the wireless LAN standard: 802. 11B mini card PCI ORiNOCO.

You need to check if the WiFi signal is strong enough for a transmission correctly
I think that the signal of WLan access points is not strong enough because of the distance.

  • Satellite L - limited access to the WLAN router

    Hello

My laptop has stopped all of a sudden to have access to the internet, even if the wireless is turned on. It connects with access limited, so boring. I called technique for service provider to wide band and can't do anything. This is the laptop. When connected says limited and no internet access available. I have disabled the firewall to see if that was the problem but still nothing.

If his laptop certainly - I tried reinstalling drivers wlan realtech. I'll have to use ethernet cable to connect to the moment.

    Please please help.

    Hi deanplay,

Unfortunately I think that it s not easy to help you if you don't show your laptop model and operating system information. It is always important to know for an etailed response.

For the moment I can only recommend to read this section of the FAQ:

  • Satellite L20-101: can't see my WLan access point

    Hello world

I have a L20-101. It worked well until we change our AP with 802n Apple AP again. I can see any other network, but I can't see mine.
    Any idea?

    Thank you

    Hello

Yes, I have an idea ;) How about you change the WLan card?
Seems that the new access point is not compatible with the wireless network for laptop card.
Maybe the minPCI wireless network card does not support the standard wireless access point.
