  • Window Popup with strange characters when you want to play music from the cloud

When I try to play music on the cloud (music downloaded on my computer), I get a popup with some strange characters. It was working fine 2 days ago. Nothing has changed on my computer. I tried uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling. Shows the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

This is what looks like the pop-up window.

PS - all anti-virus software are up and running.

As an addendum, I tried to download music (by clicking on the cloud icon, which then shows an arrow pointing downwards). This popup has shown once again.

Then I thought maybe it was having a problem with my account or my computer don't think she was allowed. So I checked my account login, and I was connected. Then I tried allowing my computer and this popup appeared again. I then tried my scroll wheel and it seems that it is a right screen. I guess that is the lower right button 'accept' but I'm not confident in the present.

    Strange things brewing.

  • Popup wouldn't let me close.

I was on a website (may not been the safest) and a popup came. He wouldn't let me go outside by clicking on the red x, but had only two options that says: stay , then leave the page. Leave page button was blue and white stay normal. I clicked on the page of the authorization and the popup went. IM afraid that by clicking on the blue button page let I installed malicious software or provided access to my computer to someone. These are legitamite concerns and if so it would be smart to install something like bit defender?

You have nothing to fear in what concerns by clicking on this button "exit page".

OSX has already built systems of protection and trawling through these forums is anti-malware applications additional third cause more problems than they solve. Your best defense is common sense (do not download and install something you do not or that comes from one source other than directly from the website of the developer of the application. Also never trust any Web page that warns you have been infected by a virus or an unsolicited phone call.)

Returned to Energy Saver prefs., unchecked the hourly option to sleep. But the problem persists. I always get the popup at random times, at least once a day. I noticed this problem after everywhere in the world in India and back.

  • I received a "popup" to update Firefox, it was ligit?

I received this "popup" who said that I had to click to update Firefox, because "I am at risk." I didn't proceed/click because I thought that the updates are performed automatically. Should I have clicked on this "popup"?

If you get a pop-up message asking to put plugins or Firefox updated or anti-malware analysis then this message probably is a scam and you should never respond to such reporting to avoid being infected by malware.

    • Don't update Firefox via "> about" or by downloading and installing Firefox from Mozilla and server never using a popup or a link on a web page.
    • Plugins should be updated only through the plugin itself, or by visiting the home page of the plugin.
  • At random intervals, sometimes twice a day, sometimes twice a week, I get a popup when searching mail saying my certificate is out of date. What is going on?

I'm currently not a screenshot of the "popup" that says 1) my 'certificate' is obsolete and 2) click on 'ok' to make a permanent exception. There is a warning on the popup that is unusual. It happens both when I check mail or try to send it. BUT it does not happen all the time. I was not able to detect a pattern to his accident. I have multiple accounts on my Thunderbird, with different ISPS and I think that's happening for them all.

As you can see in your second accessory, the cert for your server POP of Gmail was published by Bitdefender. It is not the original cert of Google.
Thunderbird does not know about the certificates issued by Bitdefender and therefore give you the warning. It is unfortunate that most people don't seem to have any idea what certificates are all about.
At the end of the day, this means that BitDefender is intercepting your connection to the Google server. They can see your Google password and your plaintext authentication token. It is not something I want.
    Your options are:

    1. accept that Bitdefender is interceptung your secure connection and install the cert of Bitdefender in Thunderbird as a certification authority
    2. ban of Bitdefender to analyze messages inbound and outbound on SSL/TLS, secure connections

For more details contact the Bitdefender support.

  • This cable or accessory is not certified popup while not connected iOS 9.3.4

I've updated to 9.3.4 iOS on my iPhone 6 more this morning. Now, this afternoon, I get a popup every few minutes saying "this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone." I'm not connected to a cable or accessory. Support Apple advises to do a hard reset, which I did. After a few minutes I received once again the context menu. Not plugged into anything.

Never received that message before today. The only thing I know that has changed is the software update 9.3.4 (G 13, 35).

Similar experiences please mark as I have this issue too. I saw another post here, a user with an iPhone 5 with this exactly the same problem.

    Kind regards

    Hi ccphd,

I understand that you get an error that the accessory is not certified, despite not having anything that is connected to your iPhone. I know it's important to have your device works reliably, so I am pleased to provide you with tips to help with this.

Learn the steps of troubleshooting we have for this message here:

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

If an alert says that your accessory is not taken care of or certified

These alerts can appear for several reasons: your iOS device could have a port of loading dirty or damaged, your loading accessory is defective, damaged or not certified by Apple or your USB charger is not designed to load devices.

    1. Remove all debris from the charge on the bottom of your appliance socket.
    2. Restart your iOS device.
    3. Try another USB cable or charger.
    4. Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.
    5. Contact Apple to set up the servicesupport.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, cheers!

  • Is my site Popup does not work on the Android browser

I am the owner of a website IE http://www.stdtestingorlando.net . The Web site is using a responsive model. I just installed a popup javascript based on my site. I just noticed that it is works well on desktop computers, but does not appear on the android devices. What could be the problem?

Mobile browsers have usually a single window, so the idea of a second window to appear has really no sense, or it will end up as another tab.

When browsing, a popup of Yahoo appears often invites you to add an extension of yahoo. I don't want the extension, but this option is not given. I downloaded the update, but the installer says that it won't work with my operating system. It appears constantly and it is very annoying. How can I stop it? Block popup is selected in my preferences.

Unfortunately, at a given time that you have installed the extension MediaPlayer, possibly as part of a free download of something else.

Please remove this one and disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CMD + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then take a critical look on the list on the side right and, in case of doubt, disable (or delete). Keep in mind that all extensions are optional and none is included with Firefox when you get it first.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  • 'Bookmark this Page' goes - does the popup form flood data bookmark for the page I want to bookmark.

I use it every day. I click on bookmarks and the drop down shows - I click on MARK THIS PAGE - and he died - the drop down menu disappears correctly but the popup didn't come with the form to fill out the name of the bookmark and the location that I want for her. This happens sometimes during some time. Maybe a few months I don't know. I have no idea why it starts and stops working on its own. How can I fix?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Check the security setting, and Yes, the master password is now set. It has not been set before. If it is set, but probably without a password. Can it be disarmed without losing all previous passwords remembers?

    Try it and see.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
