  • Sorry, unable to save your movie. Find missing files or delete the unusable items in your project and then try again. "Error: 0 x 87160129" during video editing in Windows Movie Maker/Windows Live Movie Maker

I use the same device which was used to make movies in the past with no problems. The error message is sorry, unable to save your movie. Find missing files or delete the unusable items in your project and then try again. Error: 0 x 87160129

I've never had any problems with this before and made more than 100 movies using WLMM or WMM. Thanks for any help. Would that my camera settings? I use a Lumix.

I just found out what the problem is freakin ' and the solution. If the inserted videos have different "video codec" then it will not work!

Before adding videos to Movie Maker, throw in a video converter and convert them all. (Even if the original format is WMV, convert again to WMV) that will ensure the output videos have the same codec!
This solved the problem for me, hope, it does for you too...

  • My Movie Maker file won't save!

My windows Movie Maker will not save my movie file, error rises and says: Windows Movie Maker is unable to save to the specified location. Make sure the source files are always available, the location of backup is available and have sufficient available disk space, and then try again. I have the files sources and 346 GB of space on my hard drive. Anyone know the answers?

The error you see usually occurs when we
or more files (Photos, video clips, Audio source
    clips) are corrupted or incompatible.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

    Also see the following article:

Sometimes, it can help if you clear all filters...

    all the boxes / OK.

UGH, I'm so sick of this message! HELP IS THERE WAY OF!

To check... you use Win XP Movie Maker 2.1?

    What error do you get?

What is the duration of your project?

What was the source of the WMV files? If you have converted
the which converter do you use?

Are all included in the project MP3 files?

Have you tried going in Tools / Options / Compatibility tab

  • Movie Maker: the difficulty to save the storyboard with WMV clips table to a movie file (stops at about 72 %...)

Greetings - I'm working on a movie maker project. I downloaded various video clips tube in u (in FLV format), converted to use U-Tube downloader WMV format and placed on my table of Storyboard. He looks good and the sound and image (on the small screen) are OK. However, when I finished my project and proceed to save any thing like a movie I'm umable to do. The file is about 13 minutes long, so it's a big file. The dialog box indicates (summary in my own words) '... ". Please check the location of the files and if there is enough memory, etc. "In any case, about 72 percent of the way, he stops to record and so I am unable to finish my project. Thanks a lot for the answers. Best regards.

Sometimes it helps if you open Movie Maker and go to...
Tools / Options / compatibility... tab and uncheck all filters / OK.
Failure to return to... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab...
left click on the "All default settings" button / OK.

The error you mention generally indicates incompatible source
files or project too complex. WMV should be a compatible
format, but maybe YouTube converter does something that
is not fully compatible with Movie Maker.

  • Error message in Windows Movie Maker 2

I use Windows XP and have the latest Service Pack.

In any case, when I download a Youtube video and import it into Movie Maker, it works perfectly. Then I add the clips in the Timeline. I cut the sound. I then cut part of the video. Then when I try to save it to my desktop, it fails and I get an error message saying that I either:
1 is missing source files (I'm not sure what this is.) I think they are clips, but I already have all the clips when I imported the video.)
    2. not having enough space (I have more than 1.3 GB of space on my hard drive. The film takes only 6 MB.)
    3. the backup location does not exist (My Desktop exists.)
I already searched the site and got no response. I tried to contact someone who works for Microsoft, but I have to pay $50 (which is a RIP-OFF).
    Can someone help me?

Apparently the .wmv files you have are corrupted somehow.

And it is possible that your project is too complex for your system
    resources.

What format are the videos in the how you downloaded the

    Hello

    ·        What happens when you try to save the film? You get the error message?

    Method 1:

I suggest you perform a clean boot, and then check if the Director of windows works fine or not. To perform a clean boot follow the steps mentioned in the link given below.

  • Windows Movie Maker 6.0 error during recording: check if the original sources are still available, the saving location is available and if there is enough disk space

Original title: Windows Movie Maker 6.0 Save Bug?

Something's weird with Windows Movie Maker...

It cannot record movies, I create somehow.

Immediamente when it starts to save, it gives an error signal: check if the original sources are always available (and yet, they all), there is no such thing as the save location (of course it is!) and if there is enough disk space (a lot of). Still, it will not save. How can this be possible?

I use an mp3 file (pendulum - watercolor) and have a lot of footage, often used with effects. They are 1280 x 1024 and a .avi file. Everything should work fine, but still does not work. Help me!
