Port Forwarding airport 6.3.2 utility Airport Time Capsule model A1409

Some friends and I have tried to reach an audience subscribed to the server, which requires specific ports to be opened to allow friends to see your created server and join your created server.  To try to reach these servers that we receive messages indicating that the server in #. ##. ##. #: 27015 does not.  This IP address that appears in the message is actually our address public router (modem), but the Apple software uses with its base stations does not the entrance to this IP address public opening of ports and allows only private IP addresses equipment connected to the WiFi set up in your home network.

We have all tried to open this port 27015 using our Airport 6.3.2 utility software but when we check this port using network utility, it does not show this port as open, so our port logon attempt has failed.

One of us used a WiFi network provided through Motorola SURFboard SB6121 DOCSIS® modem cable connected to our Apple's Time Capsule 2 TB model A1409 airport.  Use of the Airport utility application on an iMac, we tried to open several ports required specified by different sites for this server in the work and friends to be able to see my server.

However, when you attempt to open ports, only WiFi IP camera is allowed, such as 10.0.1.2 and not the IP that claims server is unresponsive, which is the IP address for the public router (Motorola Modem) of #. ##. ##. ##.

We all visited www.portforward.com for suggestions but this site is outdated regarding the latest software from Apple wireless stations.  It seems that Apple does not provide an operational means to open all ports using this time Capsule which actually work and make every effort to get to our computer via airport base station is blocked by the base station.

The formal question is this: since Apple Wireless/WiFi network has "private" IP for each device connected to the network, how servers join we create outside the home on systems to which we have subscribed and we open the required ports so that we can see?  This server is looking at the public IP address and port (#. #. #. #: 27015) and claiming that it cannot get through this port.  How to open this port so we can use these servers as they are scheduled/planned by the merchant site that we use?

Thank you

J

Airport - Port Mapping Basics using v6.x AirPort Utility

One of us used a WiFi network provided through Motorola SURFboard SB6121 DOCSIS® modem cable connected to our Apple's Time Capsule 2 TB model A1409 airport.

The SB6121 is a known issue with Apple routers. Although most of the problems exist with products of next generation, AC AE and TC version, the latest firmware of the previous Gen, 7.6.4 may also have problems...

I highly recommend that downgrade you the firmware to 7.6.1

There should be no need to map the ports of a server hosted outside your network... so I'm having a problem reading your post... this server hosted within your network or outside it? Cannot open ports to a hosted server on the outside and it is simply useless to.

If the firmware downgraded on the TC does not work... I think you have routing problems and the best solution is a cheap substitute for router... cheap... for example a WR1043ND v2 or v3 works perfectly. You can load the better firmware which will also give you better control... < $ 50.

Looking for advice on how to get the Time Machine utility for access to my Time Capsule. I use an iMac in late 2012 with MAC OS 10.12 TimeCapsule is 2015 7.7.7 running latest firmware. Airport utility is the latest firmware 6.3.7.

When I run the application Time Machine, Time Capsule is not detected. I tried the two WiFi and with cables connected Ethernet (not tried USB yet) and my Time Capsule doesn't have a lightning bolt or firewire ports.

Open Airport utility & see the airport time capsule. I can see all connected devices, including the MAC, but no prompt activation Time Machine on the Time Capsule.

I recently used TM on this iMac with a G-Technology drive. It auto detects the time machine and executes a back up. But airport Time Capsule will not.

    Any suggestions?

Sierra has been problematic with the TC.

    1. make sure you don't have any charge virus protection software. In fact, I would say that disable all software 3rd part at the moment.

    2. make sure that you can actually write to disk of TC.

Attach the TC disc in the finder and copy a file on disk, you can delete it later... It's just to ensure that you have full write permission. If it does not for the most part, you won't be able to use Time Machine... If you can then try TM immediately...

Just to be clear, the TC is a network device. You have tested with ethernet and wireless... Ok.. They are only suitable methods. You cannot use USB. And clearly, TC has never had nor will never be ports Firewire or lightning.

    3. no chance that a reset complete TC. This will not delete the files on the hard drive, but you must make sure that the device is configured on the current computer.

    4. There are many positions in these days... read through them and do some research. Sierra is a bleeding edge new... So wait you to spend a lot of the precious liquid if you choose to be an early adopt.

  • Parameter problem to the airport Time Capsule

Already, we currently have a WiFi system with a NetGear router and a modem from Time Warner.

I just want to use the airport Time Capsule to back up my Mac.  My husband has a PC.  I followed the instructions but the airport still comes up in the utility.

Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and the latest 802.11 ac 3 TB so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I plug an Ethernet cable at the airport, then in the Modem - nothing after I plug the power - Amber flashing light.  I have changed ports unplugged and plugged back in French - restart the Modem.  Nothing works.  I bought it so it would work straight out of the box - so far, I have spent a lot of time trying to understand it.

Any help would be so appreciated!

  • I discover airport Time Capsule via a non-Apple router?

Hi, I have a WiFi router non - Apple I want to use it as a main router. I've disabled the WiFi AirPort Time Capsule option and plugged into the LAN 1 of my primary router port. Now I can connect all devices correctly to my main router with the exception of the time Capsule. In addition, on my MacBook AirPort Utility cannot find the router Apple AirPort TimeCapsule more. Is it possible to find out the time Capsule in this way?

The ethernet connectivity is light, the TC and the router main LAN port?

I presume that the TC is in bridge mode? Why turn off the wifi... It's always useful to have, especially as all later Mac OS seem to expect wireless now rather than ethernet, airport utility, in particular, is lost without her.

Plug ethernet directly in the TC from your computer...

Change the utility Airport on ethernet... have you thought this step...? If this is not the case, the AU shows nothing.

  • HOW THE AIRPORT TIME CAPSULE WIRELESS NETWORK IS PROTECTED?

I implemented the airport Time Capsule, using a DSL modem connected to the internet as its bridge.  MacBook Pro was used for initial set up by the bolt of lightning to Ethernet connector and then disconnected and works perfectly.  Now, I would like to use Wi - Fi for my Samsung phone not iOS.  On the Samsung wireless I connect to my home network using a password.  Well, I don't think that a password was never set.  How can I configure my wifi at home to establish a password?   I don't think that the modem settings should enter in solving this for me, but I'll add that the modem required a static IP address be entered for this connection when its router features have been disabled for the connection of bridge.

If the Time Capsule (TC) provides the wireless network, then you can secure it using AirPort Utility, as follows:

    • Run the AirPort Utility.
    • Select the TC and then, select change.
    • Select the wireless tab.
    • In the wireless security, select the type of security. I highly recommend that you choose: WPA2 Personal
    • Enter a password in the field password wireless. Enter the same password in the verify password.
    • Select Update.

  • Airport Time Capsule and WD MyBook

I'm a newbie Macbook Pro owner, about a week now, El Capitan running.

I've just hung up my Airport Time Capsule (3 t) and it seems to work, as the reports of Time Machine backup complete.  I am also connected to the WiFi Airport.

The Installation Guide says I can connect a hard drive via the USB port.  I have connected a WD MyBook USB port; It is in the format exFAT and contains the data from my old computer to Windows 7.

What should I do to make this available for the Macbook Pro?  I don't see anywhere in the finder.

The time Capsule cannot read USB drives to NTFS or exFAT format. Plug it directly into the Mac.

  • Airport Time Capsule ethernet and WiFi installation

I am trying to set up my home network, but also, somehow, the practice run for the configuration of my future business...

    Here is the component.

-Modem: Fast 5250 BELL FIBE Home Hub 2000.

    -Airport Time Capsule 1 t (a big)

    -AirPort Extreme (large)

-AirPort Express (size of the Apple TV)

Here are the different coverage area and device usually used in the:

-office: Printer via USB or ethernet, ethernet MacPro, 2xMacBookAir.

-Living room: Smart TV, Apple TV2, PS4 (all via ethernet if possible) as well as a bunch of iOS devices and laptop computer via a Wi - Fi connection

-In room: IOS, Apple TV via Wi - Fi device.

So good, here's the catch, the modem's in the entry closet surrounded by concrete, so I close the Wi - Fi on it. Cable Ethernet running from there, at the office, upstairs room and the main living area. The plan was to put the TimeCapsule 1 t in the office, extreme in the living room and express on the floor. But I already have problems that they can't be all connect via Ethernet in the modem... Oh! What a mess, he made... So I saw on the support page from apple, is it better to put the airport Time capsule 1 t as principal to create the network. So if I put the Capsule in the closet as the main will be backup my stuff via ethernet?

Also, I have the older version of Time Capsule (dish 500 GB). Shud I use it as the main airport will be connected to it via ethernet anyway?

And finally, I connect to the modem using PPPoE bell hand and another airport the main via Bridge DHCP mode. Is this fair?

Probably all covered already in other posts sorry if it is redundant. Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me.

The guarantee to the United States on the Time Capsule is 1 year and 2 years in a number of other countries. Apple will replace the device for you.  If the Capsule is longer under warranty but you have AppleCare implemented on one of your Macs, the time Capsule is still covered in this framework up to 3 years from the date of purchase of the time Capsule.

If the Capsule is not covered, ask Apple to replace the device for you in any case.  If they won't, then unfortunately you yourself, because Apple does not offer repairs or spare parts for the time Capsule. If you are a DIY kind of person, you can open the Capsule and clean the fan or replace the fan. Be extremely careful when you open the time Capsule to shoot components, there are has Ribbon connectors that can easily tear or break if we don't take care.

Quick question I have a new airport Time Capsule. I'm trying to connect my 2 extremes of 2 airport with the new unit. They are in 2 different places in the House, I see them in my utility, but they're more connected... Lost... Help?

Are you using ethernet to connect or wireless extend?

When you installed the TC you replace an existing router that used EI or did you do a clean install?

If you want to extend wireless simply reset the two AE at the factory and start on with installation... they should auto select this option to expand the TC in wireless... but you must start with them the two reset otherwise it will mess up the network.

Do you have an idea how I can fix this connection?

I guess that your Mac has a Thunderbolt port.

Use a Thunderbolt for the Ethernet card.  It's up to 10 times faster than the USB adapter. Your actual speed will be 4 to 5 times faster than USB.

  • Create wireless network with airport Time Capsule

I replace my ISP provider rented the modem / router with a modem, I bought and I would use my gen current airport Time Capsule to set up the wifi network. I can't find the instructions on how to proceed and AirPort Extreme do not seem to apply.

I am running OS X Capitan 10.11.3 on an early 2015 MacBook Pro.

    Thank you!

    Dale

I can't find the instructions on how to proceed and AirPort Extreme do not seem to apply.

Hmm.  A time Capsule is an AirPort Extreme with a built-in hard drive, so what works for one should work for the other and vice versa. You might be looking at old operating instructions?

Since you've decided to add a new modem, Time Capsule will be reset back to the default settings and then set it up again to work with the new modem.  Apple installation "wizard" will guide you in installing the time Capsule, by appointing a wireless network, set up a password, etc, so the process is very easy to name.

The installation provided with your Time Capsule Guide goes on how to set up the time Capsule.

After resetting the time Capsule to factory default settings, you would connect an Ethernet cable from the modem into the "O" on the Time Capsule WAN port.

To get the "Assistant" Setup running, just click the WiFi icon at the top of the screen of the Mac and are looking for the new AirPort base station. Just below that, click directly on the Time Capsule.  The example below shows an AirPort Extreme, but you would see on your screen time Capsule.

When you click on the Time Capsule, the next screen that is displayed looks like this, except that you will see a picture of a Capsule of time on your screen.

Simply click next to get the process going and follow the instructions.
