Port forwarding on the WAN IP unique vShield

Hello, is it possible to do port forwarding "of the router outside the IP address' for the vShield Edge VM, or am I assume I have to add a second outside of the IP to perform port forwarding from a foreign port to worms a server in-house. Essentially, here's my problem:

I want the vShield Edge IP, if I type the IP address of it on port 80, I want that it will to an internal server on this port. I am only able to do that if I add a SECOND outside address on the firewall. It is a problem because I don't want to burn two addresses by customer just to PAT. Any thoughts? It is an important situation. Thank you

At the point where you need two survey periods to do this. Basically, the first IP address is dedicated to the NAT traffic.

VCloud many users have requested to change this behavior, I hope that we will be able to use a unique IP address in the future. Even as a service provider with several available IPs, they are valuable, and it is a waste.

    Hello

IM typing this on mobile, so my editing options are limited, but here's what you need to do:

    1. download the following file:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/security/multi_function_securit...

    2. create a new personalized Service for the port that you need. Watch the guide you just download page 104. Repeat for all required ports.

    3. then set up the rule for inbound traffic. See page 110 on the guide for this information. Make sure you select WAN by virtue 'Of Interface' and LAN "interface", then select the personalized service, you created and pointed to the ip address of your internal server.

Port Mapping on the time Capsule airport cannot be enabled unless you have the right type of modem on your network.

As directed by your statement the port that you have passed on the closed router without any connection to the server is unusual. Please make sure that you have configured an IP address static (outside the range of the router DHCP) on your server and put the same IP address for the specific port port forwarding tab.

I try to convey a port to see a camera over the internet.  On the screen of transfer of single port in the game, I put in the port 8090 (Ext and Int), Protocal both, an address IP and Enabled.  I also tried to put in a range, but doesn't seem to work.   After the shipping port, I check from what is my IP address to get the external IP address, then put the IP address in a browser page empty with and without the port number.  I tried several times without result.  What I am doing wrong?

1 192.168.0.1 is your modem. This isn't the DNS server. You must configure as DNS server 192.168.1.1 on your camera.

2 192.168.1.126 is an address in the DHCP server address pool. It is assigned by the DHCP server. Use a static IP address outside the pool of server DHCP, for example 192.168.1.2 - 99 for a static IP on the camera address or use DHCP to assign a static address to the camera on the camera and a DHCP reservation on the router.

  • Setting up Port Forwarding on both routers E2000 for the Slingbox PRO - HD

I bought recently a Slingbox PRO - HD and the software of the iPad in HD mode on my iPad when I'm away from home.  When I install the Slingbox using their setup program web-based, he pointed out that I don't have my network configured to optimize performance for the visualization of the internet, which is what I need for the iPad.  I think that I don't have the port forwarding for port 5001 set up properly on my system.  I can connect successfully to my Slingbox away from home on my iPad and my laptop, but the performance is indeed poor.

I have a modem cable and two routers E2000.  The first E2000 is connected to a modem cable into my home office and the second E2000 is in my home theater.  I used Cisco Connect on separate computers to configure two routers.  Here are the details:

    Cable modem:
    Scientific Atlanta
    Model DPX2203 series
    Part number 4006351
"Ethernet" connected to the "Internet" Router 1 connection.

    Router 1:
    Cisco Linksys
    Model E2000
    IP 192.168.1.1
    Wireless enabled.
'Internet' connected to the modem cable.
    Connections 'Ethernet ':
    1 Seagate drive network storage
    2 desktop PC
    3 desktop PC
    4. the Router 2

    Router 2:
    Cisco Linksys
    Model E2000
    IP 192.168.2.1
    Wireless enabled
'Internet' connected Router 1 "Ethernet 4'.
    Connections 'Ethernet ':
    1 Slingbox PRO - HD
    2 desktop PC
    3 A / V Receiver
    4 Blu - ray player

How to configure the port forwarding for Slingbox PRO - HD on port 5001?  Also, what is the best way to configure two routers E2000 so that I can use as wireless access points?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I would recommend using the second E2000 as an access point only. Which simplifies and facilitates also the transmission much:

0 unplug the E2000 second the first. Connect a computer to the second E2000. Open the web interface to http://192.168.2.1/
    1. change the address LAN IP of the second E2000 to 192.168.2.1. on 192.168.1.2.
    2. turn off the DHCP server on the same page.
    3. save the settings.
    4. disconnect the computer and son, one of the LAN ports of the second E2000 for the first E2000.

For other ports LAN to get an ethernet switch.

Now, all you have to do is to set up the port forwarding on the first E2000.

  • The port forward does not work in RV120W?

I am trying to configure a simple port forward in the RV 120W router, but can't seem to make it work.

I created a custom service called RDP for the TCP 3389 3389 port.  I added a Port forward to always allow the RDP service, from any source to destination IP 192.168.50.23 IP address.  I tried with 'identical to incoming port' and also specified the port 3389 to forward to and to.

Firewall access rule is activated and incoming value, always allow, RDP service, any source & destination IP, DNAT IP is 192.168.50.23.

RDP works at the IP address of the local network.

    Any ideas?

There is a problem with the RV220W, and work around this problem:

Just use the firewall rules and not port forwarding.

try on your rv120w and see.  Make sure that the last thing you do is re save firewall rule.

    It will be useful.

  • WRT54G2 - port forwarding to a different local port

    Hi people,
I just tried to set up my wireless G router to transfer a WAN calls on a specific port IP address local and ANOTHER port. Here's the scenario:

    An incoming request: port 80
    Should be rerouted to: 172.16.0.2:8585

The only option I found is to reroute the port 8585 to 172.16.0.2:8585 which unfortunately does not work for me in this case.
    Am I missing something?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi, thanks for your response.

The problem was exactly what you mentioned at the end of your post - interface (not the router mmee) linksys does not Port forwarding for the local way different.

For those who are interested in the solution - you have to Flash your router - details and download here - www.dd-wrt.com

I did and now I am able to transfer to a specific LAN IP: Port (+ 1000s other useful goodies).

  • Issue from site to site of SRP527w port forwarding

    Hello

I have problem with setting up port forwarding on the VPN between two cisco 527w.

Scenario when we see a tunnel VPN from Site to Site between Site A and B; a printer behind Site B must be accessible using the IP WAN of A Site address.

    Like the picture above:

-From site A, I am able to ping printer and printer access locally and via 120.146.x.x with port forwarding to installation on site has to the printer.

-From site B, I am able to ping A site gateway but not able to access the printer through 120.146.x.x. The printer can be access via 129.203.x.x if port forwarding is configured on the site B on the printer.

Cisco SRP 527w supports port forwarding via VPN site-to-site site A to site B printer?

Y at - it no suggest or another solution for this scenario?

Some help would be very appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Thai

    Hi thai,

I'm not entirely sure - I think that an IOS based router, for example, the 800 series, you could do with proper setup.

I would say that remote access to a printer or a server like this is perhaps not the most secure solution however.  A better approach would be to use a router that supports both a remote access VPN site.  With this, you must be able to use a VPN client to access the site with the IP address static, then tunnel to the other site where the device is.  You might consider the series RV of the device as well as IOS routers for that.

    Kind regards

  • RV220W and Port forwarding

    Hello

I have a problem with my Cisco RV220W with Firmware 1.0.3.5

I have in my local network a Dreambox with the IP 192.168.1.230, he listen Port 8880.

How can I implement a WAN port forwarding to the Dreambox?

    Thank you

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for posting. Please follow the steps below to transfer the port to your Dreambox:

    1. Log in to the router, then go to: Firewall-> Access Control-Services > custom.
    2. Press 'Add' and then type Dreambox name, TCP for type. The Port of departure and Port of finish will be 8880. Press "Save".
    3. Go to the IPv4 firewall rules and press 'Add '. Use the following settings:

    Area: No reliable (WAN)

    Area: Trust (LAN)

    Service: Dreambox

    Action: Always allow the

    Source host: no

Send to the Local (DNAT IP) server: type the address LAN IP of the Dreambox here device (i.e. 192.168.1.150)

Ignore the other settings on this page and press 'Save' at the bottom. You should now be able to reach the Dreambox from the Web using: 8880

Please let us know if it works or if you need further assistance.

  • RV042 & Port forwarding

    Hi all
I connect to my ISA Server to the linksys RV042 router. the router is configured to work dualWan and not of DMZ.

I have configured port forwarding on the router to forward all traffic on ports 80 and 443 to be forward to the IP address of the ISA. I disabled

    the firewall. but without success.

I tried to open the http connection to ISA from a laptop computer connected on one of the LAN port of the router (port next to the port where ISA is

    connected) the test is successful.

another test is done, I installed a Web server on your laptop (xerver.exe) application. I connected the laptop to the router linksys lan port,

and I configured the port forwarding on ports 80 and 443 to the IP address of the laptop. I tried to connect via http/https to the ip of the router

address of WAN but without success. which means that the problem is in the transfer of traffic from the Wan to the local on ports 80 & 443 network and not with the ISA iteslf.

If a configuration option is still missing on the RV042 router to complete my setup.

    can you please advice.

    Thank you

    Hello

Dual WAN or DMZ mode will not affect the firewall rules, as long as you try to access the ISA server through the IP WAN 1 address.

You mentioned that you have disabled the firewall, you have re-enabled the firewall before you add new rules for port 80?

If this isn't the case, please do and report your findings.

    Thank you!

    Dave

  • Automatic EA6500 for PokerStars port forwarding

When I play poker online I am sometimes disconnected. The network status report showed that it is because of my router. They recommended that do the following:

Please set the trigger (automatic port forwarding) for the following ports: 26002 and 443 22.

The access router configuration page and follow the instructions as a guideline.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    Click the app button

    Click the enable button

    Name of PokerStars

After the outbreak of Port, enter 26002

After the trigger Type, select TCP

After the Public Port, enter 26002

    After Public Type, choose TCP

    Click on apply

Repeat to ports 443 and 22

In the Linksys Smart Wi - Fi, under Security, I went to the apps and games to find the port forwarding and triggering, but I don't see how I can implement a port as an example here with a public port. Can someone explain? I have little knowledge about this kind of thing. Thank you!

First, you must go in the DHCP server setting and to reserve an IP address for the main device that you use to do this.

Then in simple port forwarding using that IP address and the same port number for internal and external. External port, that's what they call public port.

  • Port forwarding blocking access SSH, POP3, and IMPA

I recently acquired a Linksys EA8500 and very strange, annoying, and annoying problem has developed. I have a mail server and files in my home network I can access it from outside my house using a dynamic IP service. The server is running DNS as well, so it can be but from inside and outside the local network form using the same URL. Of course, external access, to set up the port forwarding on the router. This Setup has worked well with my previous, lower end, (a D-Link) router and, for a while, with the EA8500. However, there are some time (and I'm not aware of anything that has changed the situation) it doesn't work anymore: If port forwarding is enabled, requests for access over WiFi within the local network and outside the LAN are received by the server, as if they came from the top , instead of the actual computer and are thus rejected (authetication is through security keys). Always access requests work correctly on the cable connections and return to normal over WiFi if port forwarding is removed. Of course, this cancels the whole point of port forwarding. This never happened with the router D-Link and, as I mentioned, didn't happen with the EA8500 first. I have enabled and then disabled access as a guest and no DMZ have put in place, but which did not help. I have both the 2.5 MHz and 5 MHz networks active, although I'm only using version 2.5, but they have different sid, and I'm on the network with and without port forwarding 2.5 on.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Okay, I found where the problem was, and I apologize for having raised this issue just because I made a very stupid mistake. It turns out that I had added DNS servers external (outside my local file/mail/DNS server) to the list on my router (and I forgot about it). Cancel the additional DNS resolvers seems to have solved the problem. I'm far from understanding how the DNS works really, as you can see.
