  I had developed a program in Visual Studio 2005 (VB) and it worked fine under XP. The same program displays error when installed on Windows 7. I changed the Advanced Options of compilation to x 86.

  In my program the database file "evqed.mdb" is placed in the folder of the application with the following code

  This works very well in my development PC and is installed and works just as well. In the other PC, I get this error.

• Visual styles in Windows 7

  Please keep in mind that I'm not the most experienced computer scientist out there, as you can probably vocabulary I use. If excuse ahead for any errors I will probably do that.

  I was trying to download some programs that required me to turn the Visual styles and turn it on to work properly. According to their instructions:

  • I first opened Panel and selected the Tools and information on the performance
  • From there, I clicked on adjust Visual effects
  • Not sure how to do exactly to disable Visual styles, I click Adjust for best performance and clicked on apply
  • My computer everything came back blocky, not modern style, not the elegant I was uncomfortable with
  • Not like this change (my computer is very slow, so the change was unnecessary), I chose the ball Adjust to improve the appearance, thinking that this would change me back to my old layout

  Well, he didn't. So my question is, how can I go back to the default layout for Windows? Thank you very much!

• Visual style of Windows has been changed?

  Two days ago, I downloaded and ran a program auto-cliquant (that's a silly game). When activated, I noticed a change to what looked like my screen. I was confused and looked closer program. I noticed it was a setting that says "Visual Style changes Windows for Windows XP". After I closed the program, the visual style has not changed back and I noticed that the photos and images in other programs and games have slightly, but significantly and aggravatingly pixelated. Although I updated my computer, and even did a complete system restore, the images are always noticeably pixelated. If it's just my paranoia or actual Visual styles, I don't know, but at least I would like to know how to know and/or repair.

  Visual Studio 2010 support added in NOR-DAQmx 9.2.3, so I expect to install a copy of the API reference that works with VS2010.   Which version of Windows Vista you have installed?

  Have you tried "turn Windows features on or off"? If this isn't the case, please follow the steps below:

  1. click on start.

  2. go in Control Panel.

  3. click on programs.

  4. Select programs and features.

  5. on the left pane, you will have an option turn Windows features on or off, click on it.

  6. a new window will appear on the, select games and click Ok.

  You need to restart the system to allow the changes take place.

  ·        Why are you starting in safe mode?

  ·        Do you see the safemode, written on all four sides of the screen?

  If you see you're starts in safe mode so you can't uninstall programs in safe mode since the Windows service install will not work in safe mode.

  Windows service install is responsible for installing and uninstalling a program on the system.

  I suggest to start the desktop normally and then check if you are able to uninstall the program on the system.

The logo is saved in Publisher 98 and old computer run Publisher 97. Access to internet on the old computer's dial-up! Any ideas? Thank you!

  You can view these methods:

  Method 1:

  Temporarily disable UAC and check if the problem persists.

  1. open Control Panel.
  2. under the user account and family settings click on the "add user account / remove."
  3. click on one of the user accounts, for example, you can use the guest account.
  4. in the user account, click on the link "go to the main page of the user account.
  5. under "Make changes to your user account", click on the link "change security settings".

  I used the special edition of Quicken 2002 on multiple computers - which this one with Vista for 3-4 years.  I accidentally deleted and tried to reinstall it.  Using the installation application, the system makes the installshield, then stops and says "this program must be launched by the Windows program manager."

• During the installation of a program, receive the error message that Windows Installer is not installed properly on Vista

  I tried to install a program and I got an error message that says "Windows Installer" is not installed correctly and I need to contact the support staff.  I get also a message when I log that says steetings.ini is occupied by another program and it will not allow the sidebar to come.

  Try the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to troubleshoot the problem with Windows Installer:http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml.

  For the issue of the Sidebar, do a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.
