Port Replicator Slim 2 - resolution wide screen

Hello

Consider buying a Slim Port Replicator 2 for my Portege R500.
I have two questions about the Replicator:

The maximum specified. resolution is 1600 x 1200. I want to connect a monitor with a resolution of 1680 x 1050. Will this work?

I'm using linux and I'm worried if there is some kind of windows driver only required to operate the Replicator?

Hello

I m not port replicator expert but to my knowledge the Slim Port Replicator 2 supports 1 x RGB (monitor), 1 x DVI port (video) that allows a resolution of 1600 x 1200 max.

As mentioned the DVI port supports 1600x1200px max and other higher resolution is not possible.
But maybe you'll be able to choose your favorite of the 1680 x 1050 resolution using RGB (monitor) port

Best regards

  • How to activate the resolution wide screen to external monitor on Equium A60?

    Hello

I had an Equium A60 with an ATI Radion 7000 mobility grahpics chip in it. Earlier the LCD is dead and has decided to use an external monitor rather than replace it. However, the external monitor is a monitor 22 '' widescreen computer does not provide a display suitable for resolution. Is it possible to update the graphics driver to provide the wide screen formats. I looked on the toshiba updates, but there is nothing new there, and ATI are not ready to support offer it on a laptop.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You can't choose your preferred resolution because the graphics driver does not support.
Eventually the 3rd party driver support your favorite display resolution, but to be honest I wouldn't use these drivers because it could cause serious difficulties for laptop.
The point is that these 3 third-party drivers are untested and not certified by Toshiba.
Therefore, the use is at your own risk.

  • Cannot set resolution wide screen on Satellite A100

I have a Hanns G HG216D 22 "(visible de 21,6")) LCD display external, who hails from WSXGA (1680 x 1050) and is horrible to other resolutions. "
I can't select the correct resolution in XP or Vista (I know, because having failed I restored (clean install of authentic Pro with SP2 disc) XP then failed on XP used a Vista Business Upgrade disc to try Vista.)
    But nothing helps: (.)

The laptop is a Toshiba A100 PSAA8 with a graphics processor Intel 945 G Chipset.

    Here's what I've tried:

There is a driver on the disk of the specifically labeled monitor as for Vista 32-bit, so I used the disc have... 'trick' via Device Manager to force Vista to use this INF file, I tried adding EDID (or was - this CSD, something like that) data to the pilot (after driving backward before re - apply incase she thought it was the same driver), I tried PowerStrip, although I'm not familiar with it, 99% some it work well (, one of the first things I tried was using the specially created driver for this chipset that is designed to solve this problem very issue (http://www.Intel.com/support/Graphics/SB/CS-028366.htm)), any ideas?

The LCD has DDC2 and activated but EnTech MonInfo cannot get any data from it. I think I should go back to Linux; never had a technical problem I can't solve there (only DRM related issues, etc.), only problem I use this machine for work and don't mind using virtualization for some things but not for "critical to pay my rent" stuff!

I don't have another machine to test the screen either, as my sister lost with my laptop alternative.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :).

    Hey Buddy,

Then I read a little in some forums on your question. The first question is: have you updated your BIOS? It's really important because many users in the forums Ubuntu has reported that, after that an updated bios updated widescreen stuff work. Since the you´re works with Vista, I would say firstly you update your BIOS, remove all drivers display with 'Driver Cleaner Pro' and then try the drivers from the website of intel again (as an especially for this wide screen problem)

Maybe it works, I confused why it doesn't since this chipset is designed to pull many of the higher resolutions and even all res widescreen 1680 x 1050 and 1440 x 900.

Just give a short answer on your situation. :)

    Welcome them

P.S.: If you try with linux check this thread on the ubuntu forums:

  • IMAQ video on the display mode - resolution wide screen

I try to print the image of an EVS-1463RT to a monitor. The video IMAQ RT Out VI works as expected, however the counterparty IMAQ Out video display Mode VI uses a resolution of display listed, of which there are only 6 possibilities of 640 x 480 to 1920 x 1440. I want to say a resolution that fits my screen. Is it possible to do?

    Thank you.

Sorry, that the mechanism to display current image on the virtual server Exchange is based on the VESA standard that doesn't support a certain set of fixed resolutions (and no widescreen variants).

  • Tecra A10 - poor display through the port replicator

I have an error with one of my clients, they have 3 x Tecra A10 is bought in the last three months, the last time being last week.

I get a very poor screen through the port replicator, lines running through the screen almost like the lines of scanning, or RF interference. It happens on all three laptop configurations.
We have new Phillips 19 "wide and 22" widescreen, I also tried a HP 19 "wide where else in the company. also having the same problem. These monitors are working 100% if hooked up to a computer or DIRECTLY into the laptop A10, as soon as you plug them into the cradle we get lines through the screen.

I'm learning to communicate with the provider in order to replace it, because I have three already do the same thing, I'm pretty sure that I will receive a fourth with the same error.

Someone else has the same problem?
According to me, this issue has been raised on another forum, but was not answered. Does anyone have a solution?

Please can you tell us which port replicator you use and which port replicator port?
BTW: you are an authorized service provider?

  • Portege R500 - configure the parser on the Port Replicator

The system is Portege R500 with a port replicator Port MS Vista running. Port replicator has a Philips 19 "LCD monitor

System has BEEN configured so that when the system was in the duplicator monitor 19 "inches would be active and system monitor is inactive.

But, a few days before the following events occur, when the system is in the port replicator and its turned on screen (the one with the mobile progress indicator) Windows startup is displayed on the Port Replicator monitor, then the screen turns white and displays them on the screen on the monitor system, after entering the desktop on the monitor system.

I live in a remote area, so I can't pop in the store of the local computer to ask for help.

I would appreciate someone to give me some guidance as to where it configures the port replicator monitor configuration. I looked at the section Configuration screen Control Panel but it seems to be the performance of two monitors, it appears not to address the peculiarities of a laptop computer with a port replicator configuration

  • What is the resolution of the max screen with speed Port Replicator Hi (PA3838E-1PRP)

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Portege R700 - 11 p and I want to buy a duplicator of Port speed Hi (PA3838E-1PRP), but I want to know the maximum screen resolution with ang VGA HDMI on the port replicator.

Thanks in advance for your answer

    Hello

The maximum display resolution depends on the laptop (graphics card) and the external display that is connected to the port replicator to Port Hi-Speed.

The internal graphics INTEL QM57 (incorporated into the Portégé R700) overview card provides this info:
    http://www.Intel.com/products/Notebook/chipsets/QM57/QM57-overview.htm
    + This chipset supports the DisplayPort interface * with a resolution up to 2560 x 1600. +

Therefore, check the properties of the external monitor.

    Hello

As far as I know that the TOSHIBA Mobile Extension software should be updated to the State.
    Real software version is 3.87.00.

Go to the Toshiba European page and update this!
Also, please make sure that the BIOS is up-to-date as well!

The use of both VGA and DVI ports should be possible since the R600 are supported by this feature.

  • Portege M200: big screen via the port replicator

I have a Portege M200 with APR III. I realized that the DVI Jack does not work with it, even if for some reason any, even though they are not supposed to all other ports don't. EACH of them!

What I'm asking today is how the hell can I get the laptop out on the big screen through the APR? I tried everything, it has the chipset nVidia go 5200 FX (which is able to output DVI according to nVidia)

I just got a Philips 20 "widescreen TFT and got tired of watching her in the stretched standard resolutions.

One of my friends has also Tosh lappy, but it's a Tecra 9100, which will be released on the big screen without any questions whatever it is standard, it appears as an option in the Billboard settins. In addition, nVidia say that this chipset is capable of custom resolutions, but I can't find it in the updated anywhere driver.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Well the Tecra9100 is not a Portege M200. Are completely different books.
The M200 protected does not support these interfaces.
This is a technical limitation, that the port of mouse PS/2 keyboard PS/2 port, serial port, I Link (Firewire) port and DVI port
will be not supported on the Advanced Port Replicator III, if a protected M200 is moored.

The following ports are supported and can be used:
Line-in Jack, taken Line-out, USB port, port external monitor, parallel port, taken Modem, LAN jack, DC IN 15V, housing for security lock, locking the computer.
In the documentation for the Advanced Port Replicator III is a 'fact sheet for III Advanced Port Replicator"sheet where this limitation is descripted.

  • latitude dell max resolution with e-port replicator

    I have the following scenario:

    • Laptop: Dell Latitude E6420 i7 with Intel HD Graphics 3000
    • Monitor: Dell 3007WFP 30' (up to 2560 x 1600 resolution)
    • Docking station: e-port replicator for Dell T308d
    • Adapter: Dell Display Port to DVI - D adapter cable DP/N 023NVR

    Problem: the screen 30 '' Maximum available resolution is 1280 x 800.

    Question:

Say that I can't get the monitor resolution of 2560 x 1600 with the integrated Intel HD3000 card or the e-port replicator as the laptop has no native DVI - D Dual Link, I should be able to get at least 1920 x 1080 per display port. No difficulty to get the best resolution of 1280 x 800?

Among the measures taken so far:

    1. The monitor has only a DVI - D Dual Link port so I use a DVI - D Dual link to cable DVI - D Dual Link to connect to the docking station does not work, I read somewhere that the e-port replicator is actually DVI - D Single Link inside so won't work because the monitor needs native DVI - D Dual Link.
    2. Using the same DVI - D Dual Link connection cable double DVI - D, but this time I add a DVI - D Dual link adapter port screen and connect to the port of display in the e-port replicator port, always the same question.
    3. To connect directly to the laptop using DVI - D Dual Link to HDMI Cable, always the same.
    4. Also tried manually add resolutions custom in the Intel like 1920 x 1800 Graphics Control Panel, or by using p 50 Hz frequency refresh, 30 Hz, etc. timing standard CVT or FTE or CVT - RB. When I apply these custom settings, the monitor screen goes black as if it does not support so it changes again in 1280 x 800.
    5. All the drivers are up to date.

Help will be greatly appreciated! -

You will need an active displayport to DVI. Here is the link to the purchase page.

  • Portege A600-133 - Slim Port Replicator III does not entirely

    Hello...

I just got a Slim Port Replicator III (model PA3681E-2PRP) and annexed a number of devices (a VGA monitor, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse), according to the user manual.

The unit, however, does well with my laptop (a Portege A600-133). Specifically, the laptop battery does not, the devices are not recognized and docking led remains off. However, the laptop turns on and off of the port replicator power switch, and the ethernet port also works very well.

    Clues?

  • Two screens DVI on Port Replicator II with Tecra S10-160

    Hello to all 2!

Right now I'm working with two external 19 "TFT screens connected to the Port Replicator II (Tecra S10-160 inside with closed screen). A display is connected to the DVI port available, the other is connected on the available on the Port Replicator II VGA port.
A single display (DVI) is used as the main office, the other (VGA) is used as office improved (both show different content).

My problem is the poor quality of the VGA signal and the problem, my two new screens are only supported DVI.

Is it possible to connect two DVI displays to the DVI - D Port Replicator II? I already checked several DVI-Y-cables, but I'm still looking for a solution connect two displays via DVI with the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens.

Hope you got my point and have information or ideas for products for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Have you already tested a VGA to DVI? So, you can use the VGA connector on the port replicator and your monitor's DVI port.

I mean such a cable like this

Such an adapter you can always use the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens. :)

  • Portege Z30 16 GB with high speed Port Replicator III and two monitors - resolution

I have a Portege Z30 with 16 GB of Ram, connected to a Toshiba high speed Port Replicator III which is connected to two monitors running in mode extended.

The monitor attached to the first section of the video is 1920 x 1200 running.
However the second monitor is only show support for a maximum of 1280 x 1084.

The monitors are identical, and both are connected by DisplayPort cables.

I tried to lower the resolution and save the settings on the first monitor to see if it offered options on the second monitor, but the options remained the same.

At this point, I have narrowed down to 1280 x 1024 so that it conforms to all the monitors but would like to a plus-res solution.

Does anyone know if there is a fix/work-around for this?
If this is a hardware limitation, has anyone tried a USB 3 to DisplayPort adapter in a similar configuration?

    Thank you!

At the same time using two displayports?
I wonder how it is possible, because of my knowledge it is not possible... as far as I know the Port Replicator III supports two DisplayPorts but you could choose and use one of them...

In any case, you can use both with a lower resolution, I guess that this problem can be caused due to incompatible display drivers.
I suggest you to uninstall reinstall or update the display drivers and check if it helps
