  Tools OR DAQmx for Acquisition of data with the Software Inc. MATLAB® from The Mathworks, supports up to the 2008 version of the MATLAB® software.  In order to use our products DAQ Multifunction with MATLAB® software, you could get back to 2008 or earlier, or instead use the Data Acquisition Toolbox provided by The Mathworks, Inc.

  Another option would be to import your ".m" files in a node MathScript in LabVIEW and use the functions of NOR-DAQmx everything in the LabVIEW development environment.  For more information on the Module LabVIEW MathScript, you can consult the information available on this link:

• I need to a portable data acquisition that can measure up to 15 thermocouples which is usb

  Hello, a friend of mine who has no experience with labview wonder on what daq can he buy in order to have a portable thermocouple, measuring system.  It must be usb so he can take it with him and his laptop computer and can connect up to 15 thermocouples.  I've seen some usb based systems which are specifically for thermocuple measure but have only 4 entries.  It is all daq usb that I could use for this application and that I also have to cancel any unwanted noise via programming?

  Take a look at Measurement Computing which is a part of National Instruments.  The USB-TC has 8 channels, so 2 of those who would do the job.

• NEITHER USB-8451 with external power source

  Hi all!

  I try to understand for 2 days now why my USB-8451 gave me a 301740 error: line SDA or SCL or both are in poor condition, or there is no pull-up resistance.

  I try to change a multiplexer channel in order to obtain a measure of the temperature of a sensor. I checked my SDA and SCL lines, thye are both in top condition and I have 2 resistors to pull up with a value of 10K.

  The only change with my older circuit, is I use an external power supply for my chip and a PCA9543 (texas instruments) MUX to select the sensor I need the data.

  Any who have encountered similar problems?

• not able to write the data through data acquisition

  In fact, I need to send a code word (text file) from the program matlab through my data acquisition (OR-USB-6215). my program (transmitter.vi [case structure: page2]) attached below has a problem to do the task. whenever I run the program it gives me an error like

  Error-200479 occurred at DAQmx start Task.vi:2

  Possible reasons:

  Measurements: Specified Operation cannot be performed during execution of the task.

  Task name: _unnamedTask<84>

  At the moment I don't see output in my oscilloscope. But, if I highlight my performance I observe my samples on the oscilloscope with the following error message

  200288 error has occurred in the DAQmx write (analog 1-d 1Chan NSamp DBL) .vi:3
  Possible reasons:

  Measurements: Attempted to write a sample beyond the final sample generated. The build is stopped, so the sample specified by the combination of the position and the offset is never available.

  What I did is I moved the 'write DAQmx' outside the while loop. That made the VI in this case is read the file and passing it to a table, and then this table is formatted a waveform to be written to the data acquisition device.

  With respect to the way in which the data is read, I don't change anything, it was based on your original code. A good way to know if you write the correct data is to check the chart view in VI.

  So the question is, is the graphic display showing the good waveform?

  I want to use 9219 to assess the load cells.

  Internal excitement for 9219 is not sufficient for my application, this device can be used with an external excitation source?

  If Yes is it as simple as cross the bridge of load cell using the external voltage and the output of the bridge on the 9219?

  Power max would be approximately 20 mV.

  Then the 9237 is probably your best choice. For this voltage, you will need to use an external source.

  I work with labview 8.6 and using a NI9237 mounted on a chassis.

  I use 4 guauges of strain with a voltage of 10V for which I need to connect an external excitation source.

  I can't find a way to do this? There are 2 boxes of samll with some connection terminals, but I don't know if I'm doing things.

  Also, do I need to change my connections in any way when I use an external excitation source?

  It is not black magic. The constant reading you get is actually the value of mv/V. Which must be multiplied by the corresponding voltage for the mV reading. Read this article and if all goes well he will clarify all black magic.

• LabVIEW statechart module of data acquisition error external trigger

  I have a 2 loop vi is the acquisition of data of a data acquisition instrument loop and the second is a loop to run my statechart of.  I would like to respond to an error in device of acquisition data if it occurs in transition out of my current state in my diagram States-transitions and enable management of custom unique business mistakes.  My States-transitions diagram is synchronous and send it external trigger.vi funciton will not work with it.  How to achieve this?  In addition, there is some confusion about this literature in http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372103F-01/lvscconcepts/sc_c_callervi/ at the bottom of the page it saidNote sending triggers for synchronous charts is optional. If you do send triggers, LabVIEW sends the NULL trigger for transitions. If you send a synchronous statechart triggers, you can send these triggers to the caller VI. »

  Hello I just receive the NI 9265 Daq for research in my lab. I'm trying to present entry and display it on an oscilloscope. I don't get anything. I did some research on the internet, so my question is do you need a power supply to the current entry with data acquisition or 9265?

  Read the data sheet.  Clearly on the first page is a sentence which reads "the NI 9265 requires 9 V to 36 V external power.

  Hello

  As long as you have compatible connectors, SCSI cables will work DAQ of basic functions.  They have the advantage of NO cables is that we can meet our DAQ hardware.  So, we can create pairs twisted differential pairs to HAVE, using the ground for shielding terminals and generally specialize the cable to minimize noise and crosstalk.  Because the SCSI cables are not specialized, you are likely to see the most noise and, if you go the sampling rates more Rapids, crosstalk.  If you are in a laboratory or factory with a good amount of noise EMF that your readings are not quite as clean, or if you have fluorescent lights you might see 60 Hz noise you might not see otherwise.

  If you want more details on the specifications of the SH68-68-EPM cable, I recommend these two articles.  The first example of the twisted pair and the principles of the SH cable shielding and the second gives the most precise specifications that you can compare with when looking for a SCSI cable.

• DAQmx data acquisition with persistent error of nyquist

  Hi, I created a multi channel data acquisition vi (accelerometer 2 and 1 sound pressure) using models for producer.   The vi is attached. Thanks to labview 2011.  I get the error of nyquist (2 enclosed) when you make a bandpass filter between 50 to 5000Hz.  This happens despite having put my sampling rate to 22050Hz.  When I checked the output of wave I noticed that the signal has a dt 1 s.  The text output to check the result.  I could not understand how this is so since I had set the sample rate to 22 k Hz.  Any help will be much appreciated.  Thank you.

  I would do something like that.  You must calculate the dt of the set (with the recipricol) sampling frequency and use to initialize the shift registers.  This way you only need to change 1 constant if you need to change your sample rate.

  

• Sample clock dependence with small signals data acquisition

  Hi all

  I use a NOR-9205 on a NOR-cDAQ-9184 and noticing some interesting dependencies of waveform on my sampling rate selected. It seems that small changes in the sample clock frequency have a significant impact on the measured waveform.

  Quick background, I am in a position a signal with a ripple of mV ~ 10 with V 1.6 bias. I'm not interested in DC, only the AC signal but the NOR-9205 has only DC coupling. The application is a circuit where I expect simulations noise past the circuit must be greater than the higher noise frequencies. In the waveforms attached the background plot is the applied signal, and the top graph is the signal arising after that the signal was mostly annihilated. The two waveforms are measured with the NOR-9205.

  I am aware that this measure is less than the precision of the NOR-9205, which has a maximum precision of ~ 3 mV in his +/-5V range. However, if I can't at least on the basis of shape which is good enough for me. I'm also now pretty curious that data acquisition is actually to create this

  My best idea, is that it is a product of internal multiplexing of the 9205 with the DAC.

  The first plot shows the waveform at 20 000 Hz, which is what I expected:

  

  The second shows the waveform at 20 001 Hz, which seems to be modulated with a backup sawtooth:

  

  The waveform looks as expected for 20 000, 20003, 20004, 20005, 20008, 20009, 20010 and Hz 20011. The waveform looks like modulated to 20001, 20002, 20006 and Hz 20007.

  Ideally, I would like to understand this problem so that I can configure the measure in a stable way that I can count on the basic shape of the wave. Has anyone seen something similar?
