  • Synchronize music on a portable device.

When I sync my music library with a mobile device, it keeps the album order of the music, even when I mix the playlist.

Is it possible to do so that I can have a mix of music, instead of a series of albums?

    Hello

The storage sync to the portable device must be the same as existing on the computer
which was written by Album. But many mobile devices have an option to play
"Random" or "Shuffle", and even create the set lists.

Check with the support of your portable device.

    I hope this helps.

  • Sansa 280 not recognized as a Portable device

General information: Sansa 280th with firmware version 01.024.24A; Operating system Windows Vista, service pack 2; MSC mode; Windows Media Player version 11.0.6002.18111.

My computer only recognizes the Sansa player when it is connected in MSC mode.  When it is connected to the MTP device does not appear in the computer widow.  However, when connected in MSC , an icon labeled mass storage mode removable disk (F soon will appear next to DVD RW drive (E labeled and a few seconds later a removable disk (G labeled icon appears next to the removable disk (F labeled icon.))))  An AutoPlay window appears followed by a popup indicating that "it is not children in the drive...". ».  I tested other portable devices and all appear as a portable device.  It seems to me that my Sansa player has lost its identity.

When I drag a playlist to sync pane in Windows Media Player (WMP) and click on the button synchronize the files copy to the device.  Everything looks normal on the player.  The music seems like songs, but nothing appears in the list of reading as the list go.  I formatted the device, both on the computer window and using the method of hold/record , after which I reinstalled the firmware.

I would appreciate help anyone can provide in resolving this issue.

This morning I took a glance at the problem again. I went into the Device Manager and uninstalled the driver in MTP mode. I then reinstalled it manually with the driver selected in a list. Driver selection was easy because there was only one on the list. It is installed successfully! When you try to update the driver automatically, Vista kept saying that the driver was updated. What I think happened is that the driver has become corrupted and the only way to replace it was to force Vista to reinstall, which then solved the problem. Just my guess. Sorry, but I know just enough about dangerous software systems. But I learned a lot during this experience.

In any case, under the MPT mode the computer recognizes the Sansa player as a portable device! However, in WMP it has no music file recognized. I think that WMP table should update since I Sync playlists and he did return to his table where that data is stored. It comes to decide whether or not to reformat the device in MSC mode and start again, then switch to the PSG and synchronize albums, playlist, etc., in WMP. And then there are worries that something can go wrong, since OMP recognizes two Sansa e280 players. We're working and the other is a mannequin. Additionally, this strange thing of two in MSC mode mass storage devices is always displayed in the window of the computer (aka My in Win XP) (see the original post). So not all of my fears are unfounded, while other strange things continue. For now, I'll leave the single unit and reformat and start over when I feel compelled to do.

I appreciate the assistance. He made me started lookng in the right direction. Thanks again!

  • The original driver of the camera again (which should be listed under portable devices) is missing

I'm trying to get my Canon PowerShot A4000 IS to connect to my computer Dell Inspiron A537.  It has a Vista x 64 SP2 operating system.  When I plug the camera in I get a message that a device driver is required.   He research and can't find anything.   I contacted Canon.  They say that there should be a device driver built into Vista in the category of portable devices.  He isn't here.  I suspect that this was deleted when my daughter tried to connect his phone I some time ago.  How can I fix it?  I tried the program of Mr. Fixit in the support section.  Found problems, it could not fix them.

    Try this:

Go to Device Manager and find the device that may be under 'Other devices', ' unknown devices "USB controllers" or "Hard drives" category. " It should have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Right-click on it and click on "Update driver software..." The next box, click 'Browse my computer for driver software', then navigate to C:\WINDOWS\System32, click on the OK button and make sure the front box "include subfolders is selected', click 'Next' button and let windows install the driver.

  • The disk ripped files do not playback on portable devices

Files ripped with media player won't read in portable devices, how to check if they are mp3s?

My LG rumor and my Blackberry play mp3s, but will not play the music files I have copy on the microdisc in each device. A mistake on the Blackberry indicates its a format not supported, but I don't know how to determine the format. How can I check this, and how can I convert these?

    Hi bcrich58,

The default format in Windows Media Player is Windows Media Audio.

When you rip MP3 files in Windows Media Player, if the format is not changed to .wmv in mp3, files will be torn in .wmv format. After extraction, it is not possible to use the player to change the format (for example, from WMA to MP3) or the bitrate of the ripped files previously.

To read this file in other devices, you may need to convert it to MP3 again and try to play.

You can use your favorite search engine to download a third-party codec and check if you can play the file in other devices

Note:  Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • How can I disable WPDBusEnum aka Portable Device Enumerator Service? __ __

I were quick around more than a week with a synchronization with a SanDisk "memory sticks WMP problem".  I came on what could be a possible solution, IE cut the WPDBusEnum aka Portable Device Enumerator Service.
    Anyone know how to disable?

    Bindu S,.
Since I never want to synchronize anything, I never tried to synchronize the WMP with SanDisk.
However it is 'uncontrolled mode' WMP sync once to the Sandisk.

Apparently turning off device enumerator Service Portable solved my problem!

I don't see none of 'Symptoms' I was trying to prevent.

  • How to assign a drive letter on a Portable device?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XSi and I am on Windows 7.  I would like to have the images automatically copied to my hard drive, when I connect the camera.  When I connect the camera via USB, it shows fine in portable devices.  The problem is that the path is Computer\Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi.  I can't get any third-party software to recognize as a path valid (because it does not begin with something like F:\), I can find no way to get Windows 7 to assign a drive letter to the camera directly.

Is it possible to assign a drive letter to the camera or get a third-party software to recognize Computer\Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi as valid a path?

  • The camera driver won't install; all portable devices under Device Manager have yellow warnings

    Windows 7 64 bit

All portable devices in Device Manager have yellow warnings.  I followed the directions of the driver reinstall paragraph each device status, but nothing has changed - warnings remain. Although warnings have existed for some time, I had no problem with the computer read maps or the connection with devices until recently, when a Canon camera wouldn't connect via USB or wireless because his driver would not move.  (The camera connects to my other Windows 7 64 x computer.)

Running sfc/scannow a couple of times have mounted several corrupted files that could not be repaired: WUDFPlatform.dll, WUDFrd.sys, WUDFPf.sys, MsftWdf_User_01_11_00_Inbox_Critical.Wdf, WUDFSvc.dll, WUDFHost.exe, WUDFCoinstaller.dll, WUDFx.dll. The scannow report also stated that the same files under ' Package_1_for_KB2685813 ~ 31bf3856ad364e35 ~ amd64 ~ ~ 6.1.1.11.2685813 - 2_neutral_GDR ' were also damaged.  Each file corrupted in both sets also said 'hash mismatch' at the end.  I tried to replace the corrupted with good files, but Windows won't allow.

KB2685813 was apparently the above Windows Update. He appears twice on the same date (in November 2012) in the list of my computer for updates.  I tried to uninstall it, but get the message that the uninstall failed.

Wudfsvc service is set to automatic, but it is not started.  It displays the message "unable to read the description. "Error Code: 193. In the Manager of tasks, under services, its status is "stopped".

    Any suggestions?  Thank you.

Thank you.  I solved the problem more simply.  I learned live to access corrupted files (TrustedInstaller owned files and blocked any changes to them) and replaced by vouchers.  Now everything works.

There is information online times how to change the owner of TrustedInstaller or anything else and then restore ownership to TrustedInstaller.

  • WMP does not recognize the 3 different portable devices

I have a new PC Win 7 with WMP. My PC DID recognize 3 different portable devices, when I connect (an iphone a plane mp3 iriver and Sandisk fuze mp3 player.) But WMP does not recognize everything, even if the PC is. I've tried different USB ports on the PC, makes no difference, other than that, all works fine USB ports. And I didn't look at using WMP, which does not seem to realize that this problem can exist, no info at all.

How to make WMP to recognize so I can sync? And BTW, I'd like to go back to WMP in Vista, I'm bored of advanced tag editor.

    Thank you.

When you write that the PC recognizes your devices, you got the popup that says that each device has its driver installed and it was ready for use or that you just want to say that you get another indication that the device is connected?

What WMP version you have (click Help > about Windows Media Player; if you do not see the menu file/View/Play/tools/help, right-click at the top of WMP)?

    In general:
