Portable HD tv hdmi audio problem

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3102sl laptop with Windows 7 64 bit home edition.

If I connect my laptop to my hd tv via hdmi, I have no sound... but the sounds of the laptop speakers. IDT high-definition works.

In this case, if I change to Ati High definition audio I can't read mp3 files, and should control the sound of the applications.

In particular the volume control ITA high definition never moves.

But if I connect to my playstation 3 to the same TV I can listen to.

And if I connect to my computer hp laptop to another hd tv can I listen this too!

Why is my ATI High Definition Audio creates this problem?

I'm an Italian user, sorry for my bad English.

Ok

the solution is to install the driver for the device realtek high definition audio for ati.

HDMI cables are supported, but not all, audio signals compatible HDMI video audio support cards. If your TV has an audio input, you might be able to connect an audio cable separated from your sound card of the PC directly to the TV and check out them.

  • HP 8440p: DisplayPort to HDMI Audio problem has never been resolved?

I have a HP 8440p with NVS3100 graphics card. I tried all suggestions get the DisplayPort to pass audio through a DP-HDMI adaptor without success. I even tried to buy several cards in the hope of findingone that worked, even the own expensive adapter from HP.

I cannot conclude that it is now established that the HP 8440p with the discreet NVS3100 (not the graphics card Intel integraed) simply cannot get audio of the DisplayPort adapter to a HDMI adpter? If the answer is he can't then I start shopping for a new laptop computer with native HDMI and DisplayPort not troublesome.

    Thank you

    Hey Dude.

If you want that works = it is confirmed in Windows 7 (x 64) and Windows (x 64) 10 = - and assuming that you have the NVS3100m GPU, all you need to do is to install the older drivers NVIDIA 188.31, file name sp47020.exe and can be found once you go to HP/Support/Drivers on your machine and after selecting either Windows 7 Professional 64 bit as your operating system. This driver also works well to win 10 x 64. It is probabbly not the fastest graphics driver or, after being released in 2010, but at least audio on DP/HDMI works :-) Have fun!

    If not clear, contact me.

  • 13 d-0016nl envy: problems with the HDMI audio

    Dear Sirs,

Due to some problems with an engineering program I had to reinstall Windows 10 on my laptop. The version of Windows is the same of the one installed on the laptop when I bought it. Before the laptop with HDMI audio installation worked fine, but then, while the HDMI video continues to work well, the audio turns off directly from the laptop, such that the cable was not connected.

I tried to activate the 'reproduction devices' HDMI connection, but I'm not able to do this because it's as if the cable is not connected, and the HDMI connection icon appears as gray.

I tried to update the audio driver, but it didn't work, so I tried to download and install the latest version of these drivers from the hp site but neither this worked.

Can you help me? The laptop is quite new and I would like to solve this problem without using 2 different cables to connect also a speaker with a cable to the because the HDMI does not work as it should.

    Thanks in advance,

    Martina.

You are the very welcome, Martina.

It would be the graphics driver you need install the HDMI audio driver...

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

  • Satellite L650D HDMI audio driver problem after upgrade WIN10

After the upgrade to Windows 10 audio HDMI stopped working.
Tried reinstalling the Conexant Audio driver
Any ideas how this problem could be solved?

Recently, I saw something on the CATALYST of the interface driver. There is an option "INSTALL HDMI AUDIO Driver. I was surprised to see this option under Graphic-catalyst-Driver. But it is logical, the HDMI is a video like Audio (AV) connection.

So please try to install the latest driver of your interface.
Maybe it will work for you.

  • Second screen with HDMI audio source after connection or wake

It is a very minor issue, but one I still dealing with.

I have a BenQ RL2455M monitor connected to my MacBook Pro w / retina with HDMI. I plug headphones to listen to music and talk on Skype on the plug headphones of the MBP. It all works perfectly.

The question arises when first connecting my laptop to the monitor (plugged the HDMI cable) or when waking up the laptop from sleep. If my helmet was left plugged in the headphone during this process, so I have no sound. Sound is sent through the HDMI. I have to unplug and plug in the headset to steal her back.

Of course, El Capitan is the choice the newest device to use for output. It makes sense, when you first connect the HDMI, but less after sleep.

In addition, this occurs when only my screen is in sleep mode and not my "computer". I changed this setting to 3 hours, because I had some programs that are not keep the laptop awake.

My HDMI provides the video component from my laptop when streaming from a video output on my HDTV (1080 Panasonic 42 "). But last week, the associated audio signal is not be included in the transmission to the audio control on my HD (via HDMI to the TV port). I do not know what sparked the question, but I checked for a driver when studying the sound card details and has not seen a driver for audio support HDMI.

  • HDMI Audio and Windows 7

I'm trying to connect my Pavilion dv6 on my HDTV with a HDMI cable. I make the video, but no audio on the TV speakers. The problem started after I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I had no problem with HDMI with windows Vista.

I tried to date/reinstall the audio drivers from the HP website, but it does not work. I also tried to go into the control panel and change the playback device, but the HDMI audio device icon no longer appears in the playback devices dialog box. Read-only devices are speakers and headphones double independent double headphones and SPDIF (Digital Out Via HP dock.)

How can I solve this problem? Why the HDMI device is not displayed in the reading dialog box?

  • HDMI Audio driver disappears after the RDP session

I have a desktop PC that I use as a HTPC. It is running xp pro sp3. I have a graphics card Radeon HD5570 I use to connect it to my TV via the HDMI interface. I recently had a car accident and had to rebuild the system disk (re - install windows, drivers, etc.). I also have access to this computer from my office by remote desktop.
Here's the problem: I'm going to start the machine and the sound will come through the HDMI audio device on the graphics card. Later, I will connect to the machine remotely, and sound come RDP to my work PC. I'll cut and go home, but the HDMI audio device will no longer work until a reboot. HDMI audio is not listed in the menu sound options, but it shows up on Device Manager.

How can I keep the computer from the oblivion of the HDMI audio device when I connect to RDP?

If you use the catalyst driver version 12.4, there may be a bug in the driver as described in the following link:

    http://devgurus.AMD.com/thread/159106

If so, try a different version.

  • Windows Vista: HDMI Intermittent problems

I bought an ASUS desktop computer the month last with the intention to use it with a new flat screen TV via HDMI.

The problem is that the HDMI output is not reliable. Sometimes I can hear startup sound by connecting to the computer, but it often cuts to the middle.

When I check the audio output devices, I do not see the HDMI device, but it is greyed out and considered "disconnected." If I disconnect and reconnect the cable, he miraculously "reconnects", but I have to restart the application to hear once again, even when it recognized as connected. I can then get sound until the next time I log on, or restart the computer.

    • The HDMI device is set as the default device.
    • The TV is the only video or audio output connected to the computer, and no other audio ports are used at all. The computer is only on television and only via a HDMI cable.
    • The problem exists since I configured the computer the first time, and I did not install any additional software on the computer - I'm happy with the standard Windows Media Center for video and audio options, so no iTunes or another media player has been installed.
    • There is no error message for the HDMI device in Device Manager, indicating that the device is functioning - even when it is obviously not.
    • I tried to update the drivers HDMI but I apparently have the most recent drivers for the hardware.
    • I tried to uninstall the device in Device Manager and let him reload the drivers automatically.
    • The TV has two HDMI ports, and I have the same problem on the computer no matter what port I use. I have audio problems with DVR that uses either HDMI port.
    • I tried at least three different cables with the same results.
    • I know that the cable is not loose at each end.

While I can disconnect and reconnect the cable to get her back, is not very practical, because the TV is hanging on the wall and it is difficult to reach the port at the back of the computer. I'm also afraid that my son is likely to drop the TV doing it by himself.

It would be good to have a real DIFFICULTY which leaves just the HDMI audio output available all the time.

    An update to this issue...

I put the computer in question to Windows 7 Home Premium, and the problem seems to be resolved completely.

  • It lacks Intel high definition HDMI audio device Manager.

I have disabled the Intel high definition HDMI audio device manager.  He retired from the list of items leaving only speakers.  I have the 'show disabled and disconnected devices' checked, but Intel HDMI high definition does not appear.   It is said that it works correctly and enabled in the Device Manager.  I have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem, including a system restore that did not work, any other ideas?   Thank you.

    Hi skw1,

I suggest that you uninstall the HDMI device from Device Manager, later visit download sound card manufacturer's website and install the latest driver for the HDMI device and check if it works.
