Portege 4000 - drive TEAC DV-28-B not detected by write applications

I found a replacement disk for my Portege 4000. It's exactly the same as the previous, but when I installed CDBurnerXP and Nero, they were unable to detect the drive, so I could not burn a CD, although I have read in Windows Media Player.

I also tried 'Search the hardware changes' in the device but Manager who did not work, so don't know what to do next.

Try to delete the upper and lower ODD filters in the registry. Instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982116

  • Old hard drive PS3 by USB box not detected by Windows Vista

    Hello

I recently updated my old HD PS3 40 GB with a 500 GB one. Since then, I bought an external HD for my old HD, in the hope that I could use it as a hard drive for some files I have. However, I encountered a big problem - Windows Vista does not detect the HD.

So far I read a lot of posts on the internet with people having similar problems, but with no definitive answer, so I hoped to get :)

So far, I've tested the speaker on both the different 40 GB and new 500 GB PS3 in HD, as well as 2-3 computers. Nor are detected by windows... both have the power (green light is on, and I can hear the disc rotation), but are not detected on the management of the devices or programs in 3rd (SwissKnife). As far as the computer is concerned, nothing is connected.

Thinking that it was probably a hardware problem, I whipped my laptop HD out and connected on a separate computer and it worked without me even having to he invites. This leads me to believe that the device works perfectly and its something about the PS3 HD, who doesn't like Windows.

The only thing I have not tried is put my old hard drive to the PS3 in the PS3 and reformatting. The only reason for this is a screw on the case of the PS3 has decided, that he's not budging despite all my efforts. Its now 12:45 and I'm too tired to fight with 1 screw more! :) I really don't know not how tabling in so well, 3 others went fine and I deliberately don't screw them in tight with the new HD after I read about the problems people have had by removing the screws.

Someone at - it suggestions at all? How to get Windows to recognize that this has something plugged in, on how to remove that last screw embarrassing! Whatever that either would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Check if the drive works very well with the game station.
Chipset driver update and see if that makes a difference.

Check if the HARD drive is detected in the Device Manager or disk management tool.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of issues, expand disk drives and check the sub for its detection.
    1. Click Start, type diskmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. check if the HARD drive is detected.

If the HARD drive is not detected, try the next step.
Step 1: Connect the HARD drive to the computer and find the hardware check if it detects. To do this, try the following steps.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of items, click drives.
    3. click on the Action menu, and then click check for material changes.
    4. follow the wizard to complete the task.
    5. If there is no progress, then click the Action menu and click Add legacy hardware to install the device.

Post back with the results, so that we can help you further.

  • Drive hard internal suddenly does not detect.

I have PC HCL, I have a hard drive 350GB WD blue, suddenly he is hanged and claimed restart. I tried to start it, but during the installation of time, he does not watch partition and it shows the total space (i.e., 300 + GB). then I tried to partition, but it does not work. After that I tried, this time, it is not all display drive and says there is no disc to install windows. How can I detect the hard drive and how to recover my data in the hard disk and how can use it again to install the inside windows. Please help me to do all this. at least suggest me to get my data to retrieve.

    Hi @PrincipalGovt. ITI!

I'm sorry to hear what happened with the HARD drive, I know that this could be a very unpleasant experience.

At this stage, given that the boot drive is still not detected, it will be better to try the troubleshooting steps basis in such situations.

    1. use another SATA cable, as the problem could be linked to this component.
    2. connect the hard drive to another motherboard SATA port.
    3. in the event that none of the above worked, then connect the HARD drive to another PC and see if it will be recognized.

If all goes well, it will appear in the other computer and when he does then backup your most important data on another location. It is possible that the transfer rate may be slow, but nonetheless wait for the process to complete if your information could be sure. Once it is successfully removed, run a diagnostic test on the HARD drive with the manufacturer Data Lifeguard DIagnostics tool and see what results. You can download here:

    http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?ID=BKO7r8

In the case where you've run these tests until you can follow the steps described in this article:

    http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?ID=noYuE0

However, in case the HARD disk is not detected at all, then it will be preferable to a data recovery specialist and see if he or she will be able to help you recover your data back. There are a few partners listed on the official site data recovery, so you can take a look at this link if you want to:

Hope this helps and let me know how it went.

  • Qosmio F10: Driver Installation does not detect the wireless network card

I wonder if anyone can help before I phone supported again. My motherboard is dead and ASP replaced and recovered my laptop qosmio F10. Since having back, my wireless card did not work.

Windows detects a "network controller" whenever it starts and gives me the opportunity to install it. I tried to install it by navigating in the 'tools and utilities' records CD rom for folders and subfolders of "Wireless network driver" and it still does not detect the card.

I also tried to install using the cd rom web gui and selected the 'Pilot wireless network' link and then tried to install it. It opens a dos command prompt and try to install but comes up with the error "failed installation.

I ran the customer service and they told me to run the qosmio recovery/then recovery of product/recovery of qosmio and again...

you see the card wireless as an unknown device in Device Manager? If this is not the case, perhaps that the card was not properly installed after replacing the motherboard.

  • Satellite P10 304 BIOS does not detect HARD and CDROM drive

My HDD p10-304 has recently failed.
I bought a new 60 GB western digital 2.5 drive "and installed today.

At startup, the BIOS does not detect the drive, but also, it does not detect the CD-ROM drive.
This makes me think that maybe it's not the player after all, maybe the onboard IDE / motherboard.

I'm kinda stuck, so it's a new drive should work fine, and I have no way to test the motherboard.

The only difference is that the insulation on the original drive sleeve should be reduced by half.
The bit important (low, where the circuits would otherwise affect metal) is always there, it is the
Few albums I had to remove but that should be no problem.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    Thank you, Stu.

    Hello

What happens if the HARD drive is not connected to the motherboard? The BIOS recognize the CD/DVD drive correctly?

You bought the HARD drive compatible? To my knowledge the Mobile supports a HARD drive with interface IDE (ATA-5) increased.

But as you said possibly the motherboard failures and he would be advised to contact the technician during a particular test

  • CD/DVD drive not detected on the computer... Dell said to reinstall Vista

I have a Vostro 1500 running Vista Basic. My CD/DVD not detected on my computer drive. I looked in Device Manager and there is a yellow alert. When I look at the properties of my drive, there is an error "this device cannot start. (Code 10) ». I ran the PSA and all tests passed. I wasn't able to install an updated driver because the device is not detected on my computer. It is listed in the BIOS.
I called Dell support week last to try to understand the problem. After about 2 hours of doing the things I had already done including the installation of new drivers (drivers installed not because the system does not detect the drive), they decided to send me a new CD drive. I received it this morning and it's another brand than what I had before, but I don't think it's a problem. The new drive I received today does not work either. It has the same problem as the original drive. I contacted Dell support online today and after explaining my situation together again (what is the use for a no of cases when I explain the problem 5 times in any case?) is first sent to a Microsoft for Windows XP KB (I use Vista so it's of no use at all) and then told that my registry is corrupt and I need to reinstall Windows. I don't buy it, but I told the tech that I was willing to humor. So, here am I, there is no information on the Microsoft support site I can find related to this specific error code. There are a lot of XP, but like I said, it's of no use to me using Vista.  My patience is wearing very thin with this situation and Dell.
Someone has any suggestions, advice or anything before I chuck the stupid thing out the window? =)

  • Satellite L755D - Web cam/mic are not detected by Skype

    Good evening everyone,

I just noticed that when I install and open Skype, my built-in webcam and microphone are not detected by the application. He has worked in the past, but I've not had to use Skype for more than a year, so never noticed until now.

I checked the Device Manager and there is no webcam or microphone listed. I tried to search for new hardware, but it found nothing.

    Specifications of systems:

    OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
    Processor: AMD A8 - 3500M
Memory: 8 GB of RAM (2 x 4 GB Kingston sticks)
HARD drive: 750 GB Seagate Barracuda
The version of the BIOS: Insyde Corp. 2.10 (28/06/2012)

If any other info is needed to help diagnose and solve this problem, then please ask and I will provide.

    Thank you very much

    Michael

I guess the laptop not was not preinstalled with Win 8.1 but updated you the Win 7 system to Win 8.1.
    Is this correct?

I m application because it would be interesting to know if the webcam worked correctly using Win 7.
The driver for the webcam using Win 7 to be installed to get the webcam recognised.

To help to win 8.1 additional webcam driver is not necessary because it s already part of the Win 8.1 System. That is why the webcam should appear in the Device Manager without installation of the webcam driver.

However, some models of laptop supports additional webcam POWER setting in the BIOS.
Please check this option in the BIOS.

  • WRT1900AC - external storage - not detected

I have an external storage drive is not detected. I can plug in a USB key on the router and have found things. When I plug my external hard drive into the router, I get the name of the drive but the router does not detect the size, and I can't access the drive. The only error I get is on the Media Server tab when I click on add a new folder:

    /jnap/storage/ListSubdirectories -- Status: 200 OK
     Date: Thu, 11 Feb 2016 03:36:53 GMT
     Server: lighttpd/1.4.34
     Connection: close
     Content-Length: 37
     Content-Type: application/json; charset=utf-8

When I contacted Linksys support they said essentially that since my drive hard is not on their approved list, has nothing they will do to help understand why things don't work. I tried to plug my drive into a computer and everything works so I know the drive itself is good. It's just a matter of getting the router also detect the drive. The drive is formatted in NTFS.

The router says it's firmware is up to date 1.1.10.167514. I tried to reboot the router. The only thing I have not tried yet is a factory reset.

    It solved!

The only way that I came to this solution was to use Linux. When I tried to plug the drive into a machine Windows the drive appears fine, but when I plugged the drive on a Linux machine and tried to mount it, I got a message saying that he could not climb because of some windows something or other. I think it happened, I had originally this drive in a windows-based Office Tower. I probably throught windows stopped but in reality it is only in hibernation. So the left Hibernate trace settings on the drive after I unplugged and tried to plug it into the router. The solution was to reconnect the drive on the windows machine, make a clean shutdown and then try to plug in the router. Once the router has seen the car and ability. I still had to tell the router to restart so that other computers can access the network share, but in the end, everything works fine.

I am just posting this in case someone else found this useful if they have they previously used on another computer in the car, do a clean shutdown before attempting to connect to the router.
