  I have an old Portege A100, model: PPA10A-0002LP, but I can't seem to find this model on any Web site of Toshiba, closest I've seen is the "PPA10A - 0002 L'.

  I am wanting to know if there is a BIOS update that will allow me to boot from a USB device.

  The question I have is that I need to reinstall Windows, but the CD ROm cannot read disks.
  This network PXE boot, but I'm new to this sort of thing and have absolutely no idea what to do here.

  Portege A100 seems to be developed solely for the Australian market.
  As you say it is a model number Portege A100 PPA10A - 0002L listed on the Australian page of Toshiba Portege A100 PPA10A-0002LP belongs to the same series which is PPA10A
  So in my opinion, the BIOS should work too.

  Anyway, I doubt that the BIOS update will add boot options.

  Usually the BIOS supports booting from CD/DVD drive, drive HARD, LAN and USB FDD.
  It should be possible to boot from a boot disk using a USB FDD drive.
  I doubt you'd be able to boot from USB WEIRD since this Portege A100 supports an internal CD/DVD drive.

  For now, Toshiba does not support 64-bit operating system and the drivers for Vista 64-bit are not available.

  If you wish, you can purchase Microsoft 64 - bit Windows Vista Ultimate DVD facilities and try to install it on your laptop Portege.

  I can t tell you the part number because I m not the owner of the Satellite A100, but a service provider authorized in your country can do this:

  They just asked asked on a recovery DVD, as none came with it.

  I have looked at the manual and see you can use F8 at startup upward to get to the recovery partition and do a complete reinstallation shape it.,.
  but it would also be good to have a recovery media...

  Is anyway to create this laptop?

  Where did you come from?

  As far as I know the European notebooks from Toshiba are always equipped with the Toshiba Recovery CD.

  However, try to contact the ASP in your country and ask if the restore CD is available for you Portégé R500.

  If this isn't the case, then I recommend to check your system and installed applications.
  Sometimes, there is an option to create a clean recovery CD/DVDs.
  In this case, you will need to burn this image of Toshiba on the DVD.

  Most would replace the card as they (those like that) are not very expensive, but to each his own.  Find an exact match for the fan is uncertain, because there is not much demand for replacements on a cheap card.

  The recovery disk for the new series of laptops can be ordered here and you will have to pay for it:

  But if your laptop is a bit older so maybe an ASP in your country could help you order this disc

  In very rare cases you will not be able to order a disk if your computer laptop would be belongs to a series of abandoned

  In this case, you will need to install the OS from the MS Windows CD

  I have a toshiba a100-153 with multimedia function. I can watch DVDs without starting windows with Media Player express.
  My problem is: I installed windows xp professional (I had windows home edition) but I Didna´t delete the partition of express Media Player. Now I Cana´t use the Media express player.

  I'm having a little difficulty finding replacement/pens digitizer replacement for my Portege M930 - I still have the pen that comes with it, but I've been known to lose this kind of thing, so I want to be ready for the inevitable and know where I can get spare parts before I'm stuck without one!

  Please note that I'm only after the pen supplied with the M930-l am aware l can use wacom pens or other digitizer pens but I want really the same thing, as I have so it will still fit into the laptop, as soon as the pen must remain separate I lose them all the time and $ 30-40 a pop that will become expensive quickly! I have looked through the manual and cannot find a reference for her number, nor has google found a lot of use.

  I guess if you want to use exactly the same pen that has been delivered with the Portege M930, you should contact Toshiba service provider authorized in your country. The service guys should be able to order this part (if available) directly from the main warehouse of Toshiba

  Replacement of the system board is not simply to do without maintenance manuals. The disassembly procedure must be done in the right order. You probably know that this small error can damage something.

  Portege A100 is very nice and in my opinion, it would be wrong to destroy something. I recommend you contact technicians.

  I just hope that your laptop is not too old. Many people have reported that the order to older models of laptops is not available.

  The key in the lower corner belongs to the original recovery image and will not help you with own operating system facilities.

  Replaceable parts by the user (Europe, Middle East and Africa)

  Since the part is not on the list as a replaceable user then HP does not provide the part for sale. The circuit boards are going to be hard to find, perhaps ebay and other online retailers research is your best option.

  The other option that you have is to create your own heel to tear the other monitors that ppl may be getting rid of. If you can find a job of monitoring of 2509 m on ebay with a fairly cheap crack screen then you essentially buy the guts and that's what you're looking for.
