Portege A200 does support SDHC?

Hello!

I have a laptop Portege A200

This laptop support SD cards, but does support SDHC cards (Secure digital High Capacity)?

Thank you

Hello

I know doesn´t SDHC support. But I Don t know for sure, you must try it for yourself.
If it doesn't work then, you need to use an external drive that compatible to SDHC SD card standard is fairly new.
I had the same problem with my machine, but I solved it with the purchase of a compatible card reader.

Welcome them

  • Tecra M4 does support SDHC cards?

    Hello

All do not know if the slot SD Tecra M4 support SDHC card or not?

I don't want to lose my money to buy and use a test card.
    Thank you very much

What is the said user's manual?
    Have you checked it?

I checked it and it seems that the slot only supports up to 4GB SD cards.

This is why the use of the SDHC card should not be possible. Oh wait it's possible, but you would need to connect to an external card reader that supports these cards.

Carnal... in my post above I mentioned that my p6130y reads/writes for a card 8 GB SDHC. I have also three other HP, each more recent than the last and they all read/write in the same SDHC card. According to specifications, none of them don't support SDHC. And the card have not been fried by all systems. I hope this makes you feel more comfortable on a card and its use in your system.

  • Portege A200 will not play music CD

I have a Portege A200 (PP425E) who does not play a music CD. It will read the data CD and DVD OK. When you insert a CD of music in the player, it just guard spinning it as if he cannot identify it. Have you tried a number of CDs that I know as I tried them on another laptop and desktop PC.

    Any ideas?

It seems that your CD/DVD drive can not handle this type of CD.
Like you probably n t know the CD/DVD drive doesn t support all CDs and DVDs of all manufacturers. Sometimes it may happen that a CD/DVD player will not be able to manage this support

Have you tried to burn this CD on another CD (support) and then to play?
Check it out. Maybe it helps.

  • How can I boot from USB - Portege A200

    Hello

I have a Portege A200 which is only a couple of years, but the hard drive no longer works. Initially, I thought that this was due to corrupt the boot disk record, but after trying to replace the drive hard (with two different readers), is showing a #0 IDE error when starting. So I came to the conclusion that the IDE controller chip is dead.

In order to get labour latop, I burned a cd with the ubunto ISO. It starts off ok but due have only 512 MB of RAM, the system is somewhat limited and nothing installed is lost each time that I reboot.

Now, I bought a 2 GB flash drive and installed ubuntu on it. My other problem is that there seems to be no boot from USB HDD or USB option in the bios.

The options I can think of are:
    (1) Upgade the bios so that it supports the start of memory stick (although no HARD drive so do not know how I could reflash the BIOS or if there is even an upgrade of the BIOS that would support this feature)
    (2) create a cd that starts the boot process then tells the system to continue the initialization of the USB key (this is possible and does anyone know where I might be able to get these software)
    (3) boot from CD but the use of USB to keep any recorded information / everything installs etc (I suppose that similar to option 2 except the cd would manage the entire OS and USB would just "extra" information)

If there are other options if someone may think I am happy to give them a go. Seems a shame to have to chuck to a laptop that is not particularly old, because the IDE controller chip has failed on the mobo.

I have apppriciate any help anyone can offer.
    Thank you very much
    Mark

    Hello

First I have to say that it of not possible to boot from the external USB device as USB, CD/DVD USB drive or USB HDD.
It of only possible to boot from the external USB FDD (floppy) disk

However, no opportunities for startup are clear, but I think that you misunderstood the IDE #0 error message. According to m that the IDE controller is not defective but only the new drive HARD is not compatible and not recognized by the BIOS.

There are different reasons for this problem
For the most part this error message appears if the HARD drive master/slave/c-salt settings are not correct.
Generally these settings don t need to be changed or switched on the 2.5 hard disks but some hard drives support a rider that needs to be fixed in the correct position. But I put t if your HARD drive supports this

In addition, the size of HARD drive isn't is not compatible could be the reason for these error messages!
I would recommend so finally communicating with ASP in your country to get a new, compatible HARD drive and see if the same error still occurs.

    Good luck

  • Portege A200 paralyzed by SynTPEnh.exe

My new Portege A200 is very slow by SynTPEnh.exe - software touchpad which likes to use 99% of my CPU. This is not very encouraging as Synaptics are apparently known.

Of course, I can it close through Manager tasks whenever I start my laptop and run as smooth as it should, but I would prefer a more practical solution in the long term to my problem!

What can I do to fix this issue? It is not supposed to obviously not to run like that.

If you would like more information from me to help me then please ask and I'd be happy to tell you.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

If the unit is pre-installed by restore CD there not such problems because all images are tested. In my opinion, you should try to remove the touchpad software and install again.

You can find it under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

  • Portege M100 BIOS supports more than 128 GB of HARD drive?

    subj

Portege m100 BIOS does support HDD > 128 (137) Go?

What IDE controller has been integrated?
You could install a tool of diagnosis of equipment as Everest home edition and could check your hardware specifications.

But I guess the protégé M100 supports South Bridge Intel ICH4 - M and the IDE controller must support the Ultra ATA 100/66/33

However, you must still install these diagnostic tools to ensure a what IDE controller has been installed.

The fact is that since ATA - 6 (also known as Ultra DMA/100, Ultra DMA 5 or Ultra-ATA100 mode) the 48-bit LBA is supported which allows to use more large 128 GB drives

    Good bye

  • Portege R500 - SD and SDHC card reader

    Hello!

Does anyone know if there is a maximum size of SDHC card to the card reader in the R500? I know that it supports SDHC, but I fear that there is a size limit? It will be 8.16, or even 32 GB SDHC cards?

I want to avoid buying a card that I can't use to its full extent because they are still quite expensive compared to normal more small cards of SD!

    Thanks for your help!

Chrome still does support OSX 10.9.5?

According to the page of the Google Chrome browser, this version of Chrome is said

in support of Mac OS X to present 10.11.5 10.9.5. Chrome - the Google browser

However, the questions and problems that Chrome continues to show Mac users,

indicate that it is not a wise choice for Macs.  Users have found Chrome to be

a resource eater, which affects the performance of OS X.

We'll find a better browser to Mozilla Firefox; also Safari is always supported by

Apple at the moment (my OS X 10.9.5 a recent version of Safari; I prefer Firefox.)

  • HP J6450 really does support WPA Wireless encryption?

I just bought a new J6450 yesterday, and when I tried to install it as a wireless network my SSID does not appear (even if the PC just next to the printer is connected to my network).  Even when you enter the SSID manually the installation process does not recognize it. There are other SSID in the region that appear during the installation.  I confirmed that my router is broadcasting and the printer was 4 feet from the router, so I know that is not due to the intensity of the signal.

Details of router - NetGear WPN824v3, configured for either 802. 11B or 802.11 g (auto mode), WPA encryption

The only thing I noticed during my research it tonight is the SSID that was listed when installing 2 are encrypted and most of the HP support info and documentation related to the wireless configuration seems to refer essentially to WEP.  If the HP J6450 really does support the WPA encryption, and if so, does anyone have ideas for troubleshooting why it does not recognize my router?

    Thank you.

Connection to the router under the admin user, then "Wireless settings" page is a Mode setting and the default value is "Auto 108 Mbps.  Using the arrow in the drop-down menu, change to "b and g" then set the channel to 'Auto' and save the configuration changes.

  • Portege A200 - Freeze or crash itself

    Hello world

Also I was the product of recovery toshiba on this subject and also replace a new HDD, then it is still frozen when I turn and run. Therefore, it is always random gel costs new window XP and also sentive on the network when the network card then it is freeze or crash himself.

An idea for solving the problems there?

    Thank you
    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan,.

If this happens always after using the Toshiba recovery disc, it seems to be a hardware malfunction or something else because the recovery disc can restore the factory settings.

Maybe your laptop is overheating so you clean with a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans. In addition it s not necessary to disassemble the laptop.
