  I came in possetion of a Portege 3440 netbook with cd players and external floppy drive.
  The problem is that the cd player works via the NIC port (I think it's pcmia?)
  I'm a surfer of money so not sure.

  I can t find a log of the changes on the Toshiba site also but why do you want to upgrade the BIOS? In my opinion a BIOS update should only be done if you have problems with your laptop or something else.

  I've owned a Portege M400 for a period of 3-4 months now, and I wonder if there is even one person out there who managed to get this laptop computer working under vista 64-bit.

  I inherited a R400 Prototype of one of our guys to laboratory here at the office and made the mistake of flashing the BIOS to 1.5 of Windows.
  Now, I get a black screen and a power indicator light flashes.

  I put Fujitsu SATA HDD in Portege S100-s1133 in the BIOS section of raid array that I couldn't able to change settings built in hard disk JBOD to 1RAID-0 form. When I made this change in the BIOS it couldn't recognize the RAID so I couldn't install OS.
