  2: you can disable the wireless network adapter in the device for example Manager. Then the wireless network card is disabled until you turn it on in the Device Manager.

  I have sort of solved the problem in a different way.
  I am now using "Pale Moon" and since then I have not seen the problem again.
  I'll upload the file proposed, just in case the pale Moon has the same problem.

• CD/DVD drive disappears and cannot be accessed by car.

  * 64 - bit Windows 7

  * Acer Aspire 4810 t

  * Just upgraded to windows 7 two weeks ago, the first time I tried the disk with the new OS drive, which worked fine with Vista.

  The problem is when I connect to windows and discovered 'My computer', I can see the disk drive, it appears in the window. I can go to the device Explorer, and play with him in it and nothing happens.   Finally, I reinstalled windows 7 clean install and flashed the new bios Acer. Yet, the problem is the same.

  In fact, I discovered what the problem was by downloading WinDirStat and apparently Norton 360 has created approximately 66GB of backups so I deleted all those and my hard drive is back to normal.

  Of course it was something so simple... oh well at least it's fixed now.

  The point is you need a PCMCIA compatible CD/DVD drive to boot from the Vista DVD.
