Portege R600-10 q - DVD drive open / not work after the start of Vista
Hi all
Its my first post here =). I just bought a new Portege R600-10 q (PPR61E) and I have a problem. The DVD player does not open / works after Vista started... it works very well, or at least opens / orange light turned on, before the page of connection, but after that nothing.
I have done't the thing of high-low values regedit to see if it works, but still nothing.
The device does not appear in Device Manager, so I can't remove and reinstall.
I did all possible updates to toshiba and MS, nothing helps.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.
Steve
Hello Steve
I don't know what you've done in the past, but I would like to know if everything works with the factory settings.
Have you tried to install Vista using Toshiba recovery image?

Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves the problem.
Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack.Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

Tecra M7 DVD: CD/DVD RAM drive does not work since the installation of Vista
I did a clean install on my new Vista Ready M7. He had XP tablet in a first time, and the DVD player worked fine. In fact I used to install Vista (Home Premium).
Now it doesn't work at all. It runs but does not read. Device Manager tells me impossible to start the device. Tried to update driver and he told me that he has the most uptodate pilot.
Downloaded all the drivers from the Download Center of Tosh for upgrade of Vista of M7 (who got bluetooth, rotation etc. function properly the screen). But none of the downloads seems to be a driver for the DVD - Ram drive. He cannot find a driver anywhere else (including the Panasonic site).
DVD player is Mat * a DVD - RAM UJ - 841 sAny suggestions?
Hello
On the Toshiba driver page, you can find the DLA for Tecra m7.
Have you tried to install the XP driver DVD-RAM since the Toshiba page on the Vista operating system?Maybe it'll market
But listening the CD/DVD drive uses the current Microsoft drivers that are included in Vista or XP.
This is why an additional driver should not be necessary!An additional proposal;
Remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop.
After restarting again the OS should reinstall the drive and renew the software.Another tip:
-Launch the registry
-Choose the registry key;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

DVD drive no longer works after the installation of PowerISO
I recently installed PowerISO and he took my physical DVD drive so I can't use it. The drive does not appear in Windows Explorer. The drive appears in the parameters of the material, but with the note that the driver has been disabled, and another driver provides functionality. There are questions on the net on this WRT to PowerISO (wish I had seen these before that I loaded it) but no real and tangible solutions. I tried to uninstall the device, reload the drivers and even bought a new DVD player and installed it but it happens with the same question. None of em fixed work. I did a complete refresh of BIOS and CMOS, nothing helps. Readers do not appear in the BIOS settings but show (with numbers) to the setting of the material. I also removed PowerISO, which did nothing. Then I re-installed and changed the setting Virtual Drive 'None' in thinking that this was taking on my physical drives. Nothing. So I still once uninstalled.
In addition, if the problem persists, can you check the following registry key? :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
To the registry for this key, in the right window, in the world is here, under 'Name', a LowerFilters and UpperFilters value?
If so, for UpperFilters and LowerFilters, value which is listed under "data"?
There is most likely a bad entry in one of these values that would have made the installation or uninstallation of software.

Hello
Since the upgrade of my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x 64 Windows 8 Pro x 64, my Corsair travel GT 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash USB key no longer works when plug it into my USB 3.0 port on my laptop. I get an error that the "peripheral last USB connected to the computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it." I looked for someone with a similar problem and came across this answer:
I tried the solution (method 1) on this page, however, Windows reports that it was unable to solve the problem of equipment.
Is there anything else I can try to solve this problem? The USB key works in the USB ports 2.0, and it worked in the USB 3.0 port when you run Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x 64.
Kind regards

Hey, I contacted Corsair about this, and they say that it's a driver problem in Windows 8 and I need contact my laptop computer manufacturer for the latest drivers for it, but even if my manufactuer are full steam advertising upgrades of Windows 8, they say they do not support it fully yet...
The host controller my laptop use of USB 3.0 is 'Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller'.
Through Googling, I noticed others have had problems with this host controller in Windows 8, and I can't seem to find a solution for it yet.
Unfortunately, windows 8 compatibility is not listed then try to install the installer of renesas usb 3.0 in windows compatibility mode 7.

Satellite A100-192: FN keys do not work after the update to Vista Ultimate
I am a user of Satelite A100-192. Yesterday I installed Windows Vista Ultimate on my laptop. After installation, I realized 'Fn' and media player function keys buttons on my laptop keyboard do not work. What can be the problem?
Hello
Who knows? It s not easy to say what's wrong.
Satellite A100-192 belongs to the PSAA9E series.All the drivers, tools and utilities need to be downloaded from the series on the right. Choose this model number!
On the page of Tosh, you will also find the Installation Instructions. The drivers must be installed in that order. This is important.

Tot on HP Pavilion dv7-1090ed TV tuner does not work after the upgrade to Vista 64 bit Windows 7
After having upgraded my HP Pavilion dv7-1090ed Vista 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate, my TV Tuner no longer works. Windows Media Center does not recognize there is that a HP en DVB - T TV tuner is not able to find the digital terrestrial channels-tv, I could look under Vista.
I searched several for one for the advice and tried to install several recommended drivers but so far without success. Can someone help me with this?
Hi Charlie54,
You can try using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7) to restore the original drivers, or you can try to install the Windows 7 drivers.
Here is the Windows 7 drivers for the Software HP MediaSmart Live TV and the TV Tuner driver, they should both be installed.
I hope this helps, please let me know.
Thanks and good luck!
