• Tecra M7 DVD: CD/DVD RAM drive does not work since the installation of Vista

  I did a clean install on my new Vista Ready M7. He had XP tablet in a first time, and the DVD player worked fine. In fact I used to install Vista (Home Premium).

  Now it doesn't work at all. It runs but does not read. Device Manager tells me impossible to start the device. Tried to update driver and he told me that he has the most uptodate pilot.

  On the Toshiba driver page, you can find the DLA for Tecra m7.
  Have you tried to install the XP driver DVD-RAM since the Toshiba page on the Vista operating system?

  But listening the CD/DVD drive uses the current Microsoft drivers that are included in Vista or XP.
  This is why an additional driver should not be necessary!

• DVD drive no longer works after the installation of PowerISO

  I recently installed PowerISO and he took my physical DVD drive so I can't use it. The drive does not appear in Windows Explorer. The drive appears in the parameters of the material, but with the note that the driver has been disabled, and another driver provides functionality. I did a complete refresh of BIOS and CMOS, nothing helps. Readers do not appear in the BIOS settings but show (with numbers) to the setting of the material. I also removed PowerISO, which did nothing. Then I re-installed and changed the setting Virtual Drive 'None' in thinking that this was taking on my physical drives. Nothing. So I still once uninstalled.

  In addition, if the problem persists, can you check the following registry key? :

  Hey, I contacted Corsair about this, and they say that it's a driver problem in Windows 8 and I need contact my laptop computer manufacturer for the latest drivers for it, but even if my manufactuer are full steam advertising upgrades of Windows 8, they say they do not support it fully yet...

  I guess that this lower filter of "tdcmdpst" (the writing of TOSHIBA motor filter driver) is the issue.
  But I can't remove the filter 'tdcmdpst' even with admin rights.

  You can try using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7) to restore the original drivers, or you can try to install the Windows 7 drivers.

  Here is the Windows 7 drivers for the Software HP MediaSmart Live TV and the TV Tuner driver, they should both be installed.
