Portege R600-U10 - error of Wireless Manager V6

Hi all

I used the Wireless manager V5 and had problems whenever the computer went into Hibernation. I had to reboot the computer, every time the wireless connection was carried out. It wouldn't reconnect.

Someone told me that this problem has been resolved with the V6 so I downloaded the latest version and installed it.
I get the cannor run more error below.
Wireless Manager has encountered an error and will be closed... etc...

Can I have an option or should I return to V5 and continue with the problem of hibernation?

Hello

What operating system you have and where you have downloaded the new software Wireless Manager?

Did you remove the old version before installing a new?
I recommend a new facility so remove all the Wireless Manager software that you have and you restart your laptop. Then run CCleaner which is a freeware for registry cleaning tool and restart. Now install the latest version of Wireless Manager.

It's working now?

Why this option is hide? (it is not appear on any specification?)

    Hello

Was the laptop with GPS module?
If she was not equipped with a GPS module, then you cannot use it.
I guess the software to provide a GPS support, but cannot be used as the module is not available.

  • Portege M750 Win7 64 bit Wireless Manager (3G) will not work

I can't TOSHIBA Wireless Manager (3G) to work in a new installation of Win 7 64 bit.

I did a test installation of Windows 7 64 - bit on and old SATA hard drive and checked TOSHIBA Wireless Manager would work. He did.

I then did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 - bit on a new Crucial C300 Real SSD 256Go.

The new facility with the Crucial SSD is not very successful... The operation "stop and restart" does not - the closing not always power off completely and you must push the switch down to.

Sometimes the SSD does not start - you enter the password of the BIOS but then nothing happens. Sometimes you turn off the power and remove the battery before as the startup disk.

But the biggest problem is that the (3G) Wireless Manager will not work. The application opens and indicates that "died" - which it is impossible that I use WiFi to post this question.

I tried to install the software Vodafone 3 G portal. It detects the presence of the 'mobile device' (SIM in housing) but then can not turn it on.

I downloaded and installed all the latest drivers for the chip, the pilot 3G, 3G software, LAN driver, LAN software and all updates of Windows 7.

I have the latest version of the BIOS (3.0) but this has not been updated by Toshiba since 11/04/09.

I would point out that Diagnostic PC Toshiba tool does not recognize the installed 8 GB memory (but ccleaner):

    Model name PORTEGE M750
    Part number PPM75E-00N017EN

F3507g Mobile Broadband Modem Modem TOSHIBA version = 5.24.3.0

    This indicates a BIOS problem?

    -don't

points to a problem of firmware on the SSD drive (is it sandforce) torque to the incompatibility of BIOS of the SSD.

I assume that all drivers installed etc were identical on the installation of the trial of HARD drive? so if this is the case it must be the SSD does not not with the BIOS correctly, so the other issues as well

  • Portege R600 of fingerprint problem: error: could not open the specified database

    Hello

I am trying to give the registration of fingerprints for my Toshiba Portege R600-101 and I get the above error.
I tried also on windows XP and Vista.

Has anyone with the same problem or anyone suggesting a solution?

I uninstalled the truesuite Access Manager but still the same problem.

    See you soon.

    Hello

I noticed a new update for software fingerprinting for protected R600.
Remove the old application of fingerprints, restart the laptop, clean the registry and the system using a 3rd party too (CCLeaner is free and not bad).
    Then reboot again.

Download the fingerprint on the page of the European driver Toshiba Software and install again.

    Check it out!

  • How do I know of Portege R600 wireless card?

I have a Toshiba Portege R600-101 and would like to know what Wireless LAN card I have, to know what driver I need to download.

Using Device Manager is not an option, because I reinstall windows and now it does not recognize the card. How can I see this?

    Hello

I think you can use Device Manager to find out what is the WLan card.
In-network cards > Device Manager, you can find the WLan card. Its should be listed as unknown device or Ethernet controller

Mark it and go to properties.
On the Details tab, you will find the DEV PCI ID and the VEN ID

You can use this database to search for the vendor id and the device id.

  • Re: Disabled the connection Wireless on Win 7 - Portege R600

I installed Windows 7 (new installation) on Toshiba Portege R600 laptop and the built in 3 G modem does not work.
When I run Toshiba Wireless Manager, he wrote "the Radio is off. To activate, activate Mobile switch. ».

I'm sure that this switch is on, but pass connections wireless using Fn + F8 does not work then maybe it is off but I can't allow it. I have installed all updates of drivers such as: Wireless, Wlan driver manager.
    BT Stack, etc.

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Hello

    Wait a minute;
You want to activate; Modem WiFi or 3G?
Please note that WiFi is not 3G modem.

Don't forget that you have chosen and activated the modem 3G and not the WLan.

  • Portege M780 - 10G: Toshiba Wireless Manager cannot initialize the 3G device

    Hello

by mistake I deleted connections used by the 3G device to connect broadband.

Now when I run Toshiba Wireless Manager it attempt to initialize the device of wide band 3G but nothing happens.
The laptop is a Toshiba Portege M780 10 G, 3G is an Ericrsson F3607gw and the operating system is Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.

I tried to reinstall Toshiba Wireless Manager and the device 3G driver.

Please, can you tell how to solve my problem?

    Thank you

To be honest I don t understand how you could remove connections to broadband?
However, you should check first if the 3G device is recognized in Device Manager correctly.
If it is not recognized, this would require a 3G driver installation.

All parts of the software can be found here:

Here you will find the description step by step how to set up and establish a 3G connection via the preinstalled Toshiba Wireless Manager?

  • Portege R700 Toshiba Wireless Manager

Hi, I'm having a LOT of problems with my 3G connection via the Toshiba Wireless Manager. I have Windows 7 and version of the Wireless Manager program is CXP-901-4396/41 R3M03.
    The main problems are:
-connection is failing all the time: it is connected, 5 minutes after it disconnects, and I have to log in again. Sometimes, I need to restart to be able to reconnect
-very often, when you are connected, the BLUE SCREEN appears. crash the computer!

This only happens when the Wireless Manager is connected. Without it, the PC work 100%!

    Help, please.

    SPM

    Hey,.

I Don t Portege R700 in front of me but it's perhaps useful to s when you reinstall the Wireless Manager driver and 3 G. Before doing this, check if the latest version is available on the Web from Toshiba site, otherwise try to reinstall the same drivers.

    I hope it works :)

  • Portege R600 built-in HARD disk error

My Portege R600 works very well until today when he came with the built-in "Disk error" message when I turned on it. He then lists the following:

    Intel Boot Agent GE v1.3.24

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - MOF: exit Intel Boot Agent.
    Insert system disk in drive.
    Press any key when ready...

I'm leaving on a trip to South America and do not have access to the system disks.

Can someone help with this problem?

    Hello

If you get an error of HARD drive and after that the message PXE boot, it seems that your internal HARD drive is not recognized more...

Have you already checked the BIOS if the HARD drive is it recognized?
Otherwise I think you need to replace the HARD drive :(

  • Portege R600-13Z - Toshiba utility SMS - slow / stop when the SIM is in!

    Hello

    Portege R600-13Z running XP Pro.

Recently updated the firmware and the Wireless Manager to try to get 3g / GPRS comms to work at all. Updated worked a treat and have now great comms.

Utility of SMS does not work too well if. Very, very slow or crashes.

Wierdness: out the SIM card to use the phone to send a few texts and with the SIM on SMS utility works very well (!) starts, allows composition, everything except the real /sending/ of the text, which is of course not possible because the SIM card is somewhere else.

Anyone encountered this problem, and is there a solution?

    Thank you very much

    Evan

    null

    > took out the SIM card to use the phone to send a few texts and with the card SIM SMS utility works great
If you noticed delays in using DMD utility only with the inserted SIM card?

Hmm I m not very well why this happens, but I know it s not recommended to insert the SIM card if the system is already running.
You must shut down the laptop, must insert the SIM card and then you should power the device in place.
Then you could test this once more.

  • Portege R600 - 12 H - touchpad, footprints digital, of mobile broadband questions

    Hi guys,.

First of all, as a new user, I want to apologize if some of my difficulties have already explored in some other threads, although I searched and not found.

    I bought a Toshiba Portege R600 - 12 H with Windows 7 Professional.

    Currently I have 3 problems:

-My touchpad moves the cursor without that nobody has pressed the button. By example, if I move the slider at the top of this text and start typing, in a few moments I'll be typing at the top of this text. Anyone have any ideas?

-Because I'm having all questions of this pillow, I have a bluetooth mouse that works very well. I keep on disable the pad with e FN F9 work, but disable it, I am also disable the fingerprint sensor. When I try to log in with my fingerprints, nothing happens, and if I try to run the utility of fingerprinting toshiba, it displays a message saying: "it is not possible to connect the sensor.

-Technology mobile broadband 3g toshiba does not. It recognizes the SIM card, but I am not able to make any type of connection to my ISP.

Thank you for any assistance that you could bring about that.

    Hello

Do you use Manager to connect 3g wireless or use other dashboard software? or a dial-up connection dircet?

  • Portege R600 - 3G or WiFi - how to set the priority of connection

Hi, all, wonder if anyone can suggest an answer to this query?

Our (not too illiterate I.T.) MD has a Portege R600 and a 3G dongle it uses to compose on our VPN and Citrix server using the built-in wireless connection manager.

It works fine, unless it is in an area where he can get the two Wi - Fi _and_ a 3G signal, which case the R600 resumes and connects to the Wi - Fi connection itself, but it can not noticed this and he then manually dial on the Internet via 3G dongle.

According to the parameters of the Wi - Fi network it is on, this can cause problems to connect to the Citrix server as it tries to connect via Wi - Fi network and not the 3 G dongle.

So my question is, in the wireless connection manager, is it possible to define a priority or priority which the network, Wi - Fi or 3G, is used for its Internet connection? Ideally, we would like to set up the 3G network as a higher priority, but I don't think this is possible using the WCM.

I realize the ideal situation would be just him train on turning off the WiFi connection, leaving the 3G connection as the connection active unique (it cannot turn the wireless off full stop by using the switch on the side of the laptop as this turns off the 3 G connection more).
But like I said it is not too good with all things I.T.

    Any suggestions most appreciated!

    Thank you very much

    KW.

I n t have this laptop model, but please check the FN + F8 key combination.
He can choose it option 3G only?
