Portege R700 (PT311E) - unknown device in XP Device Manager
I managed to identify all devices except this one. It appears in the device as a Manager:
Location: on Intel QM57 Express Chipset LPC Interface Controller - B 3, 07
Device Instance ID of: ACPI\IFX0102\4 & 375529C 7 & 0
Any suggestions?

Hey,.
In my opinion, this device has something to with the chipset and, therefore, you have to install the Intel chipset driver. You can download all the drivers of Toshiba's official website:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com
Also check the ID provider and exact device in Device Manager to identify this device. The PCI database website can help you do this:

Hello
These are the modem and the features of com of your compilation in the 3G module.
Unfortunately the drivers are not available on the European download page now.
I guess it will take a few days until that pilots will be released.

The Device Manager shows an unknown device - ACPI\HPQ6000\3 & 33FD14CA & 0.
Could someone tell me what this is in reference to. Perhaps point to a driver that I could update.
Thank you / / Jeff
You are the very welcome.
The reason why you don't see the driver is because most of the drivers are missing in support pages, which have not worked directly for HP split into 2 companies from 1 August.
This is certainly the driver you need. If the version of W7 works, I can't say.
See if it works.

If this driver does the same thing...
Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device of 6000 who need pilots.
Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select her browse my computer for driver software option, then at the bottom of this window, let pick me from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
Click on disk and go to C:\SWSetup\sp59282\accelerometer and select the HP Mobile Data Protection sensor and see if the pilot goes like this.
Here's a partial copy and paste of the accelerometer installation information file.
As you can see the device is supported by the driver.
But it's the most recent driver is there, I know.

Portege M200 - device unknown in Device Manager
I did a clean install of Windows XP on my toshiba portege m200 (Tablet). I have most of the devices drivers installed, but there is one that I can't understand. The device manager says I have an "unknown device" on my "Intel 82801 dbm lpc interface controller.
What is it? I thought it was the chip set, but I had installed the Intel chipset drivers (twice, just to make sure that I really did), but it still reads as 'unknown device' on ' Intel (r) 82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC.
To resolve this issue go to the device, right click on the unknown device, Manager and then select set to update driver.
When the Hardware Update Wizard appears, select the advanced option.
From the next window, select the 'don't search. I will choose the driver' option
Now, go to the Intel announcement and select good "82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC.
Click OK and now it should work. Also, be sure you have all the drivers installed from Toshiba Web site:

Hello
ACPI-> Advanced Configuration and Power Interface
ACPI defines hardware and software interfaces that allow focus on the OS configuration and power management to enumerate and configure motherboard devices.
For example: ACPI is necessary for the standby and hibernation mode. Now your question; the new BIOS has been updated and configured to using VISTA.
It seems that VISTA was not compatible with the previous version of BIOS because the ACPI interface. Now you can install Vista on the laptop, but it seems that you need a driver. Possibly new chipset driver version might help. But as you probably know, the drivers are not available at this time. Unfortunately -

Re: Satellite 5200 701: unknown device in Device Manager.
Hello.
It WinXP Pro + SP 3.
In the display devices, such as an unknown device manager. Try all of the pilots, who were on a disc with the laptop, nothing helps. Give the solution!I still use Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 and I'm really happy with it. If you have some problems with SP3 remove and continue to use Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 only. Satellite 5200 is quite old but very nice laptop. Make sure that the laptop works fine with SP2 and you have an application of good-antivir.
Simply to operate Satellite 5200. I noticed that many people have reported on various issues after installing SP3. Exactly the same thing with Vista SP1.

I got the new R700 I develop a version of Windows 7 Enterprise for and I can't find the driver files or install correct programs for the 32-bit version of the TOSHIBA fingerprint utility. Satellite L650-1NC - Map disappeared WLAN Device Manager
Hi guys!
I bought the Satellite L650-1NC. After installing the system, everything is ok, but no wireless card. I downloaded the latest drivers from Toshiba and manufacturer sites. After you have installed the latest drivers for the wireless card disappeared from the Device Manager! Connection via cable, works without problem. Exhausted all ideas. Help, please.
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
Wireless card: Realtek Wireless LAN adapter 8191SE/8192SEPS. Sorry for my English
Hey,.
The WLAN card is listed in the device as unknown device manager or it is completely gone?
It's probably happened due bad installation driver in your case, I recommend removing all WLAN drivers and run CCleaner tool to clean the registry. Then download & install the latest official Portal WLAN WLAN drivers:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/Also, make sure that the wireless network adapter is enabled. This can be done with the FN + F8 key combination.

Portege R700 - Win7 - cannot find the driver for USB Multimedia Audio Device
Are there any Windows 7 drivers for the "USB Multimedia Audio Device" found on a R700 with the Toshiba Hi Speed Port Replicator II (PA3916U-1PRP)?
In "Devices and printers", there is a device in the section called a + USB Multimedia Audio Device + Unspecified +. Windows 7 can not find the drivers for it. Audio seems to be working through the port replicator.
The only related issue I've seen is that sometimes, when I press the "eject" button, Windows complains that a device is in use and the ejection is defective. This is very similar to that reported as ' [Undock R700 question P3838 |]» http://forums.Toshiba.com/T5/General-troubleshooting/R700-undock-from-P3838-issue/TD-p/149453].
In my case Windows tell me an application to use it or the device in use. I strongly suspect the audio device.
I have not found a solution so eject manually despite the failure or sleep it and then eject manually. I didn't notice the two approaches being necessarily better.
HI PeterH,
Just a simple question: do you use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 at Toshiba and you have most unknown devices in Device Manager or just this USB Multimedia Audio device?
