Portege R930 - 1 d 0 + Replicator port dual monitor supported high speed II - taken

Hello

Crossing a Portege R930 - 1 d 0 high speed port replicatior II.
Is it possible to dual-display output?

Thank you

You hear the internal + external display by the dual display or you mean two external monitors?
Speed Hi II port replicator supports the RGB port and display port and HDMI port but (display port and HDMI) can not be used simultaneously.

You can use the internal s for computer laptop HDMI port and for example a the Hi speed port replicator II ports to connect an external monitor.

I didn t find all the information about the Advanced Port Replicator II but I found some info on Advanced Port Replicator III and the simultaneous use of RGB & DVI ports

So the point is it's possible * ONLY * if portable system unit _itself also includes simultaneous use of RGB & DVI support_.

I've been searched ni.com and have not yet found an answer to my question prliminary (first one above).

Anyone know where they could direct me to find this info?

    Gearmiester,

I was able to find information about the LEDs XNET Hardware and software manual. The LEDs are covered on pages 63-65. If my interpretation is correct, it looks like you have a solid red LED 1. This indicates that there is a problem with the bus power. Make sure your bus is powered correctly, as the manual indicates that this indicates an open session but a problem with the power supply on the port.

  • Portege R930 - BSOD when connecting monitor high resolution with HDMI port

    Hello.

I have a Portege R930 (pt331a-01w001) running Windows 7. All about the laptop works as expected, however, when I connect the laptop on a screen high resolution (2560 x 1440) via the HDMI port, I get a blue screen of death.
Can I use the HDMI port to connect my 1080 p LCD TV and my monitor to work which is a lower resolution and it works well.

I tried several cables and different monitors of the same resolution.

    If anyone can help?

    Hello

Simply said: the laptop not breaks down using external monitor with a less than 2560 x 1440 resolution. Right?

    Find your laptop model.

I recommend updating the graphics card driver.

  • Ports high speed USB Equium A100

I installed a webcam Advent (before exchanging it for a better creative). Part of the installation process involves installing a Microsoft's USB controller. (OS is Windows XP Home Edition). I uninstalled the ADVENT software when I got back to the webcam.

Since then, I started getting messages every time I plug a USB device, on a device high-speed, requiring a port high speed.

When I look in Device Manager, I have two sets of Bus USB controllers:

One includes 2 standard OpenHCD USB host controllers, 2 USB, 1 support 2 USB hubs and USB printing composite devices. Their drivers are dated 2001.

The other includes 1 class PCI USB 2.0 enhanced host controller and USB Root Hub Device 1. Their drivers are dated 2006.

I have 4 USB ports and all seem to be using the first series of USB controllers. If I disable one of the controllers, then various USB devices stop working.

As my laptop is only 18 months old, I would have thought that all USB ports are 2.0 version?

How can I 'forcing' the laptop to use the second set of controllers?

    Hello

I think that the biggest problem, it is you would waste more time to fix such a driver related issue then just entering the recovery CD and performing a recovery of your entire system.

Perhaps the fastest way to put little life back to your ports USB 2.0 high-speed. Otherwise, I had suggested to remove all ports from the Device Manager and let windows after a restart re-install all the drivers, but before perform the reboot it would be better to manually remove all THE drivers installed previously.

Maybe it helps, but if not he would have definitely better to perform the recustomization...

  • Portege Z30-A-12N with Port Replicator Port Hi-Speed USB III problems

    Hi all

I have a big problem with my new Portege Z30-A-12N and Hi-Speed Port Replicator III.

I connected the power, DVI, LAN, mouse and keyboard to the Port Replicator.
Power, DVI and LAN are okay, but none will be found if I connect something to the USB Ports 2.0 or 3.0.
No mouse, no keyboard, and no USB key.

When I start my Portege I must enter a password after you press the power button.
These password, I could enter with the external keyboard, but in windows, no keyboard has been found.

If I connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB Ports of the Portege instead of Port Replicator, the two has been found.

I ran Windows 7 Enterprise on the Portege.
    BIOS version is 3.30

Do you have a solution for me?

    Hello

    The HI-SPEED PORT REPLICATOR III PA5116E-1PRP supports 2 x USB 2.0 and 4 x USB 3.0 ports.
You n t special need Win 7 drivers in order to be able to use the USB ports or other interfaces such as VGA, DVI, audio, etc.

Sound problems, make sure that the audio device has been selected in the right panel-> sound-> playback tab

By the way: Win 7 needs USB driver 3.0 which is preinstalled when the laptop was equipped with USB 3.0 ports. My knowledge if your mobile phone does not support USB 3.0, you will be able to use the port replicator USB 3.0 ports.

Finally and above all devices must be connected before you start the computer. The decision supported and compatible specifications: Portégé R30 - A, Tecra Z40 - A, Tecra Z50 - A, Portégé Z30-A/Z30t-A, Tecra A50 - has

  • Portege Z30 16 GB with high speed Port Replicator III and two monitors - resolution

I have a Portege Z30 with 16 GB of Ram, connected to a Toshiba high speed Port Replicator III which is connected to two monitors running in mode extended.

The monitor attached to the first section of the video is 1920 x 1200 running.
However the second monitor is only show support for a maximum of 1280 x 1084.

The monitors are identical, and both are connected by DisplayPort cables.

I tried to lower the resolution and save the settings on the first monitor to see if it offered options on the second monitor, but the options remained the same.

At this point, I have narrowed down to 1280 x 1024 so that it conforms to all the monitors but would like to a plus-res solution.

Does anyone know if there is a fix/work-around for this?
If this is a hardware limitation, has anyone tried a USB 3 to DisplayPort adapter in a similar configuration?

    Thank you!

At the same time using two displayports?
I wonder how it is possible, because of my knowledge it is not possible... as far as I know the Port Replicator III supports two DisplayPorts but you could choose and use one of them...

In any case, you can use both with a lower resolution, I guess that this problem can be caused due to incompatible display drivers.
I suggest you to uninstall reinstall or update the display drivers and check if it helps

  • Portege M200: big screen via the port replicator

I have a Portege M200 with APR III. I realized that the DVI Jack does not work with it, even if for some reason any, even though they are not supposed to all other ports don't. EACH of them!

What I'm asking today is how the hell can I get the laptop out on the big screen through the APR? I tried everything, it has the chipset nVidia go 5200 FX (which is able to output DVI according to nVidia)

I just got a Philips 20 "widescreen TFT and got tired of watching her in the stretched standard resolutions.

One of my friends has also Tosh lappy, but it's a Tecra 9100, which will be released on the big screen without any questions whatever it is standard, it appears as an option in the Billboard settins. In addition, nVidia say that this chipset is capable of custom resolutions, but I can't find it in the updated anywhere driver.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Well the Tecra9100 is not a Portege M200. Are completely different books.
The M200 protected does not support these interfaces.
This is a technical limitation, that the port of mouse PS/2 keyboard PS/2 port, serial port, I Link (Firewire) port and DVI port
will be not supported on the Advanced Port Replicator III, if a protected M200 is moored.

The following ports are supported and can be used:
Line-in Jack, taken Line-out, USB port, port external monitor, parallel port, taken Modem, LAN jack, DC IN 15V, housing for security lock, locking the computer.
In the documentation for the Advanced Port Replicator III is a 'fact sheet for III Advanced Port Replicator"sheet where this limitation is descripted.

  • Portege R930 is compatible with Dynadock U3.0

    Hello

I m using a Portege R930 with a ' Toshiba Hi Speed Port Replicator II.
The dock works fine, most of the time, but I was wondering if R930 is also compatible with Toshiba dynadock U3.0 USB 3.0 Docking Station universal since I want to use the laptop monitor and 2 additional monitors(1920x1080).

    Best regards
    Adrian Dobre

The Dynadock U3 is compatible with most computers and could be connected to a regular USB port.

    It supports separate chip graphic.

It supports a HDMI and a DVI - I ports that can be used simultaneously.

This support allows to use up to 3 monitors (2 external + 1 internal)

  • Can CPU overheating if Portege R930 goes into sleep mode?

I have an a Portege R930. I run an application of 25-30% of the CPU for long hours. If I put the laptop in mode 'sleep', the calculation get suspended? If not, and it is still running, how the CPU is cooled when the fan is off mode 'sleep'? The CPU can overheat?

I * don't * want my program from several hours to be interrupted by a detector from overheating. If I know that the program is suspended in mode 'sleep', I fear enter "standby" mode. If this isn't the case, so I'll keep the laptop awake, and if I need to carry the laptop, I'll put it into hibernation.

The answer seems to be that the CPU cannot fire because the programs are suspended: http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Port%C3...p/689961#M4014
