Portege R930-C086 - how to recover the Windows 8 serial key?

I have Toshiba Portege R930-C086

my hard drive is broken, I lost all my data and the original windows 8
so I want to buy the new HDD, and I want to know how I got my windows 8 key back?

I don't want to buy the new windows 8.

Each laptop comes with preinstalled operating system also preinstalled recovery media Creator called tool. This tool can be used to create bootable recovery DVD or USB media. This recovery media can be used in case this recovery HARD drive installation procedure no longer works or if the HARD disk fails, as in your case.

I presume you didn't create this media, right?
Is that you can order the original recovery image but is not free.
More information, you can get the Toshiba service provider in your country.

I don't know if you can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx but please check.

  • How to get the Windows 7 product key?

My friend laptop is broken and must be reformatted. It is an Acer and did not come with any CD. It doesn't have a partition on the hard drive for files to restore. I think that someone who may have removed it long ago.

The computer came with Windows 7 preinstalled. He has a sticker at the bottom of the laptop, but the heat green product keys and other key wear is more readable.

I have the same version of Windows, so I was going to just to use my DVD to install Windows on your computer, and then use the product key to activate it. So that Microsoft knows that it is a copy of geninue. The entire label is faded.

I tried to find what is the product key and I'm not. I know it must be stored in the computer somewhere I need find and write it down so I can use the same product key when I reinstall Windows on his computer. I don't think that my product key will work on his computer.

I've read online, you can get the product key from the registry, but I have no idea how to do that. I want to just make sure I can get the computer active again once that I format it.

    Thank you.

You should be able to order from the manufacturer OEM recovery disks. (no key needed, because the OEM SLP key is incorporated)

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 and I doubt, in everest, I can see the key of Windows Vista, but it's different to the Windows key in the tile to the bottom of the laptop.
I change anything in the laptop because I bought, I have use once the recovery cd, but I have not a pirate key or something like that.

    Why this different key?

I agree with the user above.
The serial key you will find at the bottom of the device is not similar to the serial key that can be read using a few 3rd party applications!

But you don t need such series on your Toshiba laptop key.
The restore CD contains an image of Toshiba which is already activated!

Why? It is almost never necessary. A good anti-virus program can almost
always remove the infection. And often leads to problems with formatting
as you have discovered. Even if you have no problems, it creates a lot
    work for you.

so my original os is also lost in formatting.now im using, with windows 8 form, a service on the local computer, it is possible to recover my system to the scene when I bought it.

If you have or can get a DVD installation or a recovery partition,
    Yes. Otherwise, no.

  • Satellite A205-S5880 - how to recover the function FN + F8 key

    Hello.

I have a problem with the HWSetup utility. The problem is that when I press FN in the keyboard, this bar appears at the top right, and here I use the F keys to use one of the options listed there.

Well, the problem is that some time ago I had the option for the WLAN, activate or disable. But there is a time I was checking something with the WLAN driver and uninstalled and installed again, but then I guess that has caused the WLAN option in the FN keys to the bar at the top to disappear.

It was in F8, but now I have a F8 in the bar and I don't know how to bring it back and I need it so if you please could someone tell me how to get him back?

And I use Windows Vista Home Premium btw, 32-bit

Here is a screenshot in the case where your do not know what I'm talking about http://i33.tinypic.com/il9jee.jpg

    Hello

I recommend you first check your wireless network card, if it is properly recognized in Device Manager.
Secondly, I would recommend reinstalling the Toshiba Flash Cards Support Utility for Windows Vista

    Check it out

PS: I hope you know that you must use the Toshiba page for download driver!

  • I need to recover my Windows 7 serial key after upgrade

Hello. Well, a few years ago, I bought a PC with Windows 7. A update my operating system to Windows 8 Pro (original) last year. Two months ago I have upgraded to windows 8.1 Overview.
    My cons:
-PC warranty expired three years ago. So I can't call the supplier for the series.
-L' label with the serial number is the damage. I have only 4/5 of the key. I need the first five characters.
    My question is:
-J' I retrieve my serial number of Windows 7, I'm having some trouble if I downgrade from Windows 8.1 Overview 7 8 and later?
-Can I retrieve my serial number of my 4/5 of it?
The reason is that I need to try a virtual Windows 7 machine in Virtual PC, but I need the series. My last question is: can I re-use my serial number on my VM?

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

You cannot use the license of Windows 7 on the COA sticker in a virtual machine if there is no host operating system or if the license is already in use.

If you had not reinstalled Vista, we helped you recover the product key of Vista for running old, Vista activated using specific programs.

But, as you have wiped the hard and reinstall Vista, we will not help you recover the product key.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

Using recovery disks is normally not need to insert a product key.

  • How to recover the complete installation of NDK IDE SDK?

I just downloaded the gold 10.1, my NDK 10.0 and 10.1 in the same place. I have not updated my device and the IDE does not compile because the target device has older software.

Now, I want to know how to recover the SDK outside of a full installation of QNX IDE. I just need an IDE if I could use several software development kits, and the IDE itself must have consumed a lot of HARD disk space.

I like to keep the SDK installers so I can install them even without an internet connection (if I have to in the future). Someone can tell me how to recover (only the development kit) SDK full QNX IDE install and use with IDEs installed?

I noticed that in the advanced SDK properties, there are two folder paths: Tools SDK and the Platform SDK. Can I copy these two files and use them also?

If you still have the copy of the previous version of the sdk (two files 10.0 installation directory, host_10_0_10_536, and target_10_0_10_672 example), and if you are on Windows 7, you can copy these two files to the 10.1 installation directory and go to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Native SDK\qconfig and play a bit with .xml files that match the target sdk 10.0 (just in) change these two folders location paths).

If you do not have a copy of them, the best solution is to click on the refresh icon and install the sdk that corresponds to your os from the target device.

L30 being a little older, I doubt that you can order the recovery disk
That's why you need a Microsoft Windows CD!
You will need to buy this CD if you are not the owner of the Microsoft Windows CD.
