  I'm having a hard time finding this information, but I'm trying ifnd out if there are updates to the firmware available for the optical drive comes with my T61 refurb. The part is listed as:

  But that's all I've been able to know concerning the drive because there doesn't seem to be a support for this Reader download page.

  I have the full version of Acrobat Pro installed and authorized on my computer, but I don't want anything to do with the "Acrobat Document cloud"!

  Autochthon I had this issue for months and called / chatted with Adobe. Their attitude is that "Acrobat has different structure of program developing the other CS 6 products, it's the reason why it shows as update".

  I think you need to update to the latest version adobe application manager and the help > updates

  from photoshop cs5 should then work.

  You need to install it on the same platform for which you bought... Windows or Mac... suites are platform specific and CS5.5 is not eligible for platform swap.  What are updates exist for CS5.5 will be available, but it is unlikely he will be output.

  fixed the problem of say it both on the switch. The sad thing about the firmware update process is the lack of process indicators.

  GPU - Z done!  ATI Radeon HD 4350 bandwidth memory is of 8.0 GB/s & type of memory is DDR2 (Samsung).  It fits into my 1 PCI x 16 graphics card slot.  BTW, my power supply is 300W , and can my expansion slot 1 PCI Express x 1 minicards to serve somehow?

  I recently updated my a830n Pavilion to Vista Home Premium to XP Home Edition. I understand that the chipset doesn't support Aero. However, I also have problems with running games used to run under XP. I downloaded the latest Intel .inf files, have not found a driver level later on HP sites for the chipset (running 6.14.10.4656) and tried a myriad other things proposed by other forums and the people including the 'compatibility' mode attempt (not even an optiion anywhere I can find), change resolutions, etc.

  Two things, I've noticed, however. I no longer see the Intel icon in my system tray and Device Manager initially only showed 'generic PnP monitor' for my display device. I have a Compaq FP 7317 installed. I manually installed the software for the monitor and it is now one of the monitors in the device as a FP 7317 Manager.

  The error I get consistently when you try to start chess games is "..". Unable to initialize the display device. Try acceleration hardware setting Full... "I tried all settings from full to low to no change. Someone has any ideas as to what can be done, if anything to solve this problem?

  Because the computer is almost 7 years old, I don't think that HP will provide software updates.

  Vista requires more memory than XP.  I suggest at least 2 GB.  In addition, add a dedicated video card will help.  You should check the power of the power supply unit (PSU).  Then, you will need to ensure that the video card will work correctly with this power.  I think that the power will be 250W.  You can check by opening the case and by reading the label on the power supply.

  At some point, the cost of upgrades will be more that the computer is worth.  You will have to decide whether to save your money for a new computer or to make the updates.

  Note: You must install the patches for the games before playing them.
